My parents bought this van 3 years ago for $16,000. We are looking to get $8000 or best offer, so will need to adjust the starting price to add our ebay costs, in the event it would sell. It served them well in allowing both my mom and dad to get around. They used it for just over 6,000 miles of it's now total of 68,800 miles. It is in good shape and works well. Both of my parents are gone now, and the family is hoping it can serve someone else as well as it has served my parents. It was once sold by Mobility Works in Waukesha, as it still has it's stickers in the window. The only cosmetic blemish on the exterior is on the rear bumper, some of the paint is peeling off. On the inside, the cup holder was broken, but I am sure that it could be replaced, we just haven't. There are two seats in the font row, but both I understand are easily removable. The seats are on rollers and can be unlocked and come out if the wheelchair needs to go on either side of the front. The second row of seats was removed to accommodate the wheelchair. All the straps and tie-downs are there, easily hooked to the frame of the wheelchair, and automatically retract to keep everyone secure. The third row seats are still in the van, so it is possible to have passengers, in addition. Everything is electronic, the ramp and side doors, as well as the tailgate. There are 2 remotes that come with the van. My apologies for the litter in the photos. I am sure we can have it cleaned prior to your purchase. The floor of the area where the wheelchair is tied down appears to have plastic covering the carpeting. This is one of 2 vans we are selling. You may contact my brother, Rick, at 262-835-2315 to make an appointment to see the van, or you can call me, Dawn, at 262-994-4909. He has the van, I have the title. If you are serious, you may want to arrange it with me, since I hold the title. He could show you the van, though.

Chrysler dealers terminated in bankruptcy still stuck in court

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Part of the deal for the federal bailouts of Chrysler and General Motors was that both organizations were required to trim their vast array of dealerships. This move did not sit well with the people that would be losing out on franchises, though, and in Chrysler's case, 148 of the shuttered dealers have fought for money they feel they are entitled to.
These dealers believe that they should be compensated by the federal government, as Chrysler wouldn't have trimmed its sales centers had it not been ordered to by Uncle Sam. Now, thanks to the ruling of three judges on the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the dealers will get a chance to argue their point.
According to Automotive News, the dealers argue that the mandatory shuttering of dealers was unconstitutional, because the federal government was taking property without compensation. If the dealers are victorious, not only would the government be out millions of dollars, but a precedent could be set that would allow similarly closed GM dealerships to cash in.

Waymo heads to Atlanta to test its self-driving cars

Mon, Jan 22 2018

Waymo continues to expand the pool of locations where it's testing its autonomous vehicle tech, and the latest destination is metro Atlanta. The former Google self-driving car company revealed the news on Twitter, noting that it's expanding considerably its geographic testing footprint now that it's got fully driverless test vehicles on the road in Phoenix. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Its test cars in cities outside of Arizona still have safety drivers at the wheel, but the more places it can get its Pacificas with autonomous tech on roads, the better for building an autonomous driving "brain" that can handle anything it encounters. Atlanta has some specific challenges, including bad traffic (commute and traffic issues are ranked among the worst locations in the U.S.) and one of the more dense greater metro areas in the U.S., and temperatures that regularly reach a humid 80+ degrees Fahrenheit. Metro Atlanta marks Waymo's 25th test city in total, including its recent return to San Francisco. Its testing so far has consisted of mapping the city with manually driven Waymo vehicles ahead of launching its testing program in full. A Waymo spokesperson provided the following statement to TechCrunch regarding the expansion: Now that we have the world's first fleet of fully self-driving cars on public roads, we're focused on taking our technology to a wide variety of cities and environments. We're looking forward to our testing in Metro Atlanta, and the opportunity to bring this lifesaving technology to more people in more places. Georgia Governor Nathan Deal also provided the statement below: With our talented workforce and legacy of innovation, Georgia is at the forefront of the most dynamic, cutting edge industries like autonomous vehicles. We are thrilled to welcome Waymo to our state because fully self-driving vehicle technology holds tremendous potential to improve road safety, and we are proud Georgia is paving the way for the future of transportation. Ford Mustang was almost 'Imported from Detroit'

Wed, Oct 7 2015

The Ford Mustang achieved iconic status nearly the moment the sheet came off at the 1964 World's Fair. And if Henry Ford II wasn't getting divorced around that time, the pony car might have been called the Torino and been marketed as 'Imported from Detroit,' according to Automotive News. We'll explain. During research for the new book Once in a Great City: A Detroit Story, author David Maraniss found an interesting connection between Chrysler's (now FCA US) slogan and the Ford Mustang. Before the pony car even had a name, the Blue Oval's advertising agency had the idea to market it as a "brand new import ... from Detroit," according to Automotive News. The vehicle would be sold as "inspired by Italy's great road cars, but straight from Detroit." The name Torino was suggested, as well. However, the real world interfered in making the Mustang Detroit's first import. According to the author, Henry Ford II was getting a divorce, and his future wife was Italian. It was therefore thought to be a bad idea to sell the future pony car as being from Italy. Things clearly changed by the time the Torino hit the streets years later. Related Video:
