I am the second owner of this 2008 Chrysler Town & Country Touring minivan.  It was purchased on EBay from the wife of a Chrysler dealer in Texas with 45,040 miles on it.  It was well maintained by them and I drove it home to New York from Texas.  I averaged over 28 miles per gallon over three days as I drove it home.  It presently serves as our family vehicle and averages in the high teens in mixed city/highway driving.  The minivan is in excellent shape and very clean.  We did replace the front bumper, which cracked after it hit a construction-type cone left on a roadway.  Besides that, there were no accidents or other damage.  The minivan is full of options (please see options checklist).  I believe it has almost every option except sunroof and navigation.  Everything works.  There are also headphones and a remote control for the DVD player.  The children can watch a movie in the rear while parents can listen to their music on the entertainment system in front.

I am selling this minivan because I purchased a boat and I need a tow vehicle.  I have already purchased another vehicle.  We continue to use the minivan so the total mileage will be slightly higher than shown in the picture or on this listing.  Please feel free to ask any questions or to make arrangements to see the minivan.

A $500.00 deposit is required within 24 hours through PayPal from the successful bidder.  A certified check for the balance due is preferred.  I would be willing to drive a reasonable distance to drop off the minivan, if this is helpful and desireable.

What the Chrysler 200 will probably look like in convertible form

Thu, 16 Jan 2014

Since 1996, Chrysler has offered a convertible version of its Sebring and 200. As this seems very unlikely to change, it's safe to assume that a new 200 Convertible is in the works following the unveiling of the radically redesigned sedan. What it will look like, though, remains an open question.
Traditionally, the only major styling differences between the Sebring/200 Convertible and the sedan were found above the beltline. It's likely a 2016 200 Convertible would follow a similar philosophy, especially considering the dashing good looks of the redesigned sedan.
Artist Theophilus Chin has a similar idea, as shown in a pair of renderings he's released. Using a few of the stock photos from the 200 Sedan's reveal, Chin has given us our first glimpse of what a 200 Convertible could looks like. It's sharp, retaining the good looks of the sedan. The windshield looks like it's been swept back further, and obviously, there are a pair of doors missing. Other than that, it's the same attractive car that debuted at Detroit.

Chrysler to reveal next minivan at 2016 Detroit Auto Show

Tue, Jan 13 2015

All eyes in the industry are presently fixed on this year's Detroit Auto Show, but over at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, they're already looking towards next year's show. That's when the Italian-American automaker says it'll unveil the next Chrysler minivan. The announcement, made on the FCA Corporate Twitter feed, promises that the next Pentastar minivan will debut in January 2016, which (along with the hashtag NAIAS) suggests the next-generation family hauler will debut at the Detroit show next year. Auburn Hills is expected to replace the current Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan with two all-new models: one keeping the minivan form, and the other shifting into more of a crossover. Just which nameplate gets the new form factor, and which will debut at Cobo next year, we don't know. Odds are good that it'll be the minivan not the CUV, though. Chrysler's minivan has been a winning business for the Detroit automaker, pioneering the segment, outselling the competition and marketing around the world under more brands and nameplates than just about anything else in the industry. The vehicle has been sold as the Dodge Caravan, Chrysler Town & Country, Chrysler Voyager, Plymouth Voyager, Lancia Voyager, Ram Cargo Van and Volkswagen Routan, to say nothing of long-wheelbase Grand versions of many of the aforementioned nameplates. eBay Find of the Day: 1979 Chrysler ETV-1 electric car prototype

Mon, 27 Jan 2014

Electric cars may be reaching their time in the sun with successes like the Tesla Model S, but the basic concept goes back to practically beginning of motoring. EVs also saw a brief renaissance in the 1970s when automakers were trying find a way around rising fuel prices. This 1979 Chrysler ETV-1 concept for sale on eBay Motors is a great example from that era.
Built in 1979, designers hoped the ETV-1 would preview what an electric car would look like in 1985. The base price was slated to start at $6,400, or the rough equivalent of $20,536, which seems like an optimistic price. General Electric created the ETV-1's powertrain, and Chrysler was in charge of styling. At the time, the Department of Energy called it "the first advanced four-passenger subcompact experimental electric car."
While it seems ancient compared to today's EVs, the ETV-1 featured regenerative braking and a computer-controlled electric motor. Chrysler reported a 100-mile range at 45 miles per hour with two passengers in the car. The range fell to 75 miles with four passengers. Acceleration was not brisk with Chrysler claiming the run to 30 mph in 9 seconds. Power was stored in 18 lead-acid batteries, and a full charge took 10 hours from a home outlet.
