NO RESERVE

PLEASE READ AD IN ITS ENTIRETY PRIOR TO BIDDING

Up for auction is a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser that was recently donated to a charity and is being sold with NO RESERVE.

The engine sounds good. The car feels good when idling (no shaking). Transmission shifts smoothly. It has a strange overheating issue. The car will start overheating only if in gear and not in motion. It will not overheat in park or if the car is in drive and moving it stays at regular temperature. WE ARE NOT MECHANICS AND DON'T KNOW WHAT COULD CAUSE THE PROBLEM.

The vehicle is equipped with a 2.4 Liter 4 cyl engine and AUTOMATIC transmission.  The odometer shows 146,351 miles.  The seats are GRAY CLOTH and appear to be in decent condition, although a good detail will make a huge difference.  The exterior of the car is SILVER and is showing signs of wear.  It has a few dings and scratches.  The tires appear to HAVE ROUGHLY 30% road life left.  Please refer to the photos included in this auction for more description details.

SOLD AS-IS WITHOUT WARRANTY  WRITTEN or IMPLIED.

We are not responsible for ANY fees that are due at the DMV for this vehicle. The buyer has FULL RESPONSIBILITY on issues once the vehicle has left our premises.

Jeep Renegade's development a template for new Fiat Chrysler Auto

Wed, 24 Sep 2014

"We figured we'd take the best of both worlds." - Ralph Gilles.
The international makeup of the 2015 Jeep Renegade will serve as a template for cooperation within the newly formed Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Senior Vice President of Product Design Ralph Gilles said.

Fiat stock rockets up after word of Chrysler deal

Thu, 02 Jan 2014

Now that Fiat has finalized a deal to purchase the outstanding shares of Chrysler owned by the United Auto Workers' VEBA retiree heathcare fund without having to file for an IPO, you can count the Italian automaker's stockholders among the happy. The Detroit News reports that Fiat stock closed Thursday with a 12-percent gain for the day on the Borsa Italiana, having been up by as much as 15.8 percent during the day's trading, at prices not seen since mid-2011. One trader reasoned the run was because Fiat "paid less than the market had expected and there will be no capital increase to fund this."
But there are some who worry, including bank analysts and unions. The final price of the stake will be $4.35 billion - $1.9 billion in cash from Chrysler, $1.75 billion from Fiat and extraordinary dividends in the amount of $700 million paid over three years. Adding that sum to its ledger will raise Fiat's debt level to roughly 10 billion euros ($13.8 billion), which Citibank says will make it the most indebted OEM in Europe.
Italian unions are also concerned about what the deal means for the future. Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne has had an at-times contentious relationship with both unions and the Italian government over the future of Italian manufacturing, a fact that makes headlines because Fiat is Italy's largest private employer. At least two left-leaning unions have publicly called on Fiat to give guarantees and to explain what the deal means for its Italian operations, while a centrist union argues this is "good news for Fiat workers, for the auto industry and for our country."

NYT profiles Blue Nelson, a reclusive and interesting CA car collector

Thu, 25 Sep 2014

If it weren't for his Dale Earnhardt Sr. looks, Blue Nelson could be one one of those soft-spoken, nondescript guys whom you meet briefly and never learn much more about. However, as The New York Times shows in a recent profile and video, behind closed doors, Nelson keeps a fascinatingly eclectic collection of automotive oddities and vintage bicycles.
While his main career is in the movie industry, Nelson's other job is as a car hunter. He takes on clients searching for a specific model and helps them find and restore the dream vehicle that they're after. Hiring him takes some dedication, though, because Nelson doesn't advertise his services. "If people want to find me, they know how to find me," he says in the video.
Beyond being an automotive private detective, Nelson has a fantastically varied collection of vehicles of his own. He likes to have models that people don't usually see, and his garage holds a classic Chrysler New Yorker and an extremely rare Rometsch convertible. Although, the one that means the most to him is the 1962 Porsche 356 convertible that Blue came home in as a baby. Check out the video to learn more about Nelson and his philosophy about forming a bond with a car.
