Coal Township, Pennsylvania, United States

THIS PT CRUISER WAS MY PARENTS VEHICLE. I DROVE IT TO TAKE THEM TO DOCTORS APPOINTMENTS, ETC. IT WAS USED LIGHTLY. NEVER HAD ANY SLIPPING, SPUTTERING, NO SMOKING, ETC. RAN GREAT, SMOOTH.  AFTER THEY PASSED I WAS TOLD TO PARK IT UNTIL THEIR ESTATE WAS SETTLED.  WHICH I HAD NO IDEA HOW LONG THAT COULD TAKE.  RIGHT BEFORE I WAS TOLD TO PARK IT, IT JUST STOPPED RUNNING. IT WAS LIKE IT WAS RUNNING OUT OF POWER. I WAS ABLE TO GET IT OFF THE ROAD. WE HAD IT TOWED HOME. AND, WE WERE GOING TO REPAIR IT. WE BELIEVED IT TO BE A TRANSMISSION POSITIONING SENSOR. BUT, WE COULDN'T BE SURE. SO; WITH BEING TOLD I HAD TO PARK IT, I HAD TO PURCHASE ANOTHER VEHICLE. NOW THE ESTATE IS SETTLED, BUT I HAVE ANOTHER VEHICLE. AND WITH LOSING MY JOB IN FEBRUARY, I HAVE NO ALTERNATIVE BUT TO SELL MY PARENTS CAR.

THIS CAR RAN SO SMOOTH AS  I STATED ABOVE. IT HAD ICE COLD A/C, GREAT HEATER, IT WAS A GAS SAVER, HAD ALUMINUM ALLOY WHEELS. THE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR STILL SHINE GREAT. NO VISIBLE RUST. NO PAINT PEELING. IT JUST NEEDS A THOROUGH CLEANING INSIDE. IT WAS PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY, I USED IT TO STORE OUTSIDE HOLIDAY DECORATIONS. DURING A STORM A BRANCH HIT THE RIGHT SIDE LOWER WINDSHIELD. IT APPEARS THE GLASS CRACKED THERE. BUT, WITH THE SEASON CHANGE THE CRACK RUNS TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD. BUT, ITS MOSTLY NEAR THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDSHIELD.

AS A SECURITY MEASURE, A SEAT BACK EMERGENCY RELEASE LEVER IS BUILT INTO THE LEFT SIDE REAR SEAT BACK LATCHING MECHANISM. IN THE EVENT OF AN INDIVIDUAL BEING LOCKED INSIDE THE LIFTGATE AREA. THE LEFT BACK SEAT CAN BE UNLATCHED BY PULLING DOWN ON THE GLOW IN THE DARK LEVER ATTACHED TO THE LEFT REAR SEAT BACK LATCHING MECHANISM. THEN THE SEAT CAN BE PUSHED FORWARD TO GAIN ACCESS INTO THE INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE.  IT IS ALSO EQUIPPED WITH THE CHILD REASTRAINT ANCHORAGE SYSTEM CALLED LATCH.  ALL OF THE EXTRAS AND HOW TO'S ARE INCLUDED IN THE PROVIDED OWNERS MANUAL. IN THE REAR OF THE CRUISER THERE IS A TABLE THAT CAN BE UTILIZED IN A LOW, MEDIUM OR TALL POSITION.  AT THE HOLIDAYS, I WOULD LEAVE THIS TALL WITH GIFTS UNDERNEATH IT.  REAR SEATS ALSO FOLD DOWN.

Chrysler names six new board directors

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

Executives may call the shots day-to-day at the world's leading automakers - much as they do at any other corporation - but the ultimate decision-making body remains the board of directors. And Chrysler has just named six new members to its board.
The appointments include Hermann Waldemer, the former CFO of Philip Morris International - the tobacco giant whose Marlboro brand has funneled untold billions into Ferrari as the Scuderia's title sponsor for decades, and on whose board Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne sits. Waldemer replaces Doug Steenland, who came to the Chrysler board after Northwest Airlines (at which he served as CEO) merged with Delta, and whose term on the board expired just days ago.
In addition to the Waldemer appointment, Chrysler has expanded its board with five more seats, all filled by existing group executives. Among them are Reid Bigland (head of US and Canadian sales and of the Ram truck brand), Fiat general counsel Giorgio Fossati, human resources director Michael J. Keegan, Jeep CEO Michael Manley, and group CFO Richard Palmer.

Dodge offering novel 1-year lease on '14 Challenger and Charger models

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Dodge is just days away from unveiling refreshed versions of the Charger and Challenger at the 2014 New York Auto Show, models promising updated styling and new powertrain options. Depending on how you look at it, the company is either so confident in its forthcoming 2015 models that it's offering an interesting Double-Up lease deal on the current vehicles, or it's so eager to clear out existing stock that it's resorting to novel lease deals. In any case, what they present is an interesting scenario, one which allows buyers to get the existing model right now, and then trade up to the facelifted 2015 models in one year.
Starting April 17, when the refreshed cars debut through the end of August, buyers can lease a 2014 Charger or Challenger for one year and exchange it for a three-year lease on a 2015 model next year, with no additional money down and the same monthly payment. Customers can even switch vehicles when the new lease starts. If drivers want to buy the '15, they get $1,000 off the purchase price. To be eligible, both leases must use the same dealership and be financed through Chrysler Capital. The Double-Up deal excludes the SRT versions of both cars and Charger SE models.
To offset the flood of one-year-old models coming back to dealerships, Dodge has struck a deal with rental car agency Enterprise, which has agreed to buy them all. "One-year leases are highly unusual in the industry," said company spokesperson Ralph Kisiel, and the fleet sale deal is what makes it possible.

Toledo continues fight for Jeep Wrangler production, despite mayor's death

Thu, Feb 19 2015

Where will the next-generation Jeep Wrangler be built? That's an open question, but it's one that the city of Toledo, OH desperately wants to be the answer to. The city suffered a major blow, though, with the death of Mayor Michael Collins earlier this month. Collins had been the city's biggest champion during talks with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, before suffering a fatal heart attack on Feb. 6. But Collins' tragic death isn't dampening the city's desire to carry on as the home of the Wrangler. "The mayor's passing is tragic. But on Monday, when I came to work, I knew exactly what I needed to do and exactly what needed to be done," the city's director of development, Matt Sapara, told the Detroit Free Press. According to the Freep, Sapara said Toledo and the state of Ohio have delivered an outline of a development plan that would give FCA the ability to buy an extra 100 acres to expand the factory. This is to help accommodate FCA's targeted output of 300,000 to 350,000 next-generation Wranglers, up from the 240,000 the factory can make now. "Our target in the proposal is to provide a way to increase the production capacity to a number that allows Fiat Chrysler to meet its business model," Sapara told the Freep, adding that the land could be available later this summer. FCA, meanwhile, has shown a somewhat ambivalent attitude towards Toledo production, with CEO Sergio Marchionne openly discussing the pros and cons of continuing to build the Wrangler south of the Michigan border. "We are going to take a very hard look at this without ignoring what these guys have done," Marchionne told the Free Press at last month's Detroit Auto Show, adding that he'd like to keep production there, provided the cost of retooling is comparable to relocating to another facility.
