2003 Chrysler Pt Cruiser Limited Wagon 4-door 2.4l on 2040-cars
Los Angeles, California, United States
I am the second owner of this exceptional 2003 PT Cruiser Limited. I purchased it in 2004 with just 12,000 miles on the odometer. I AM SELLING IT BECAUSE I HAVE THREE CARS AND TWO GARAGE SPACES! The transmission was replaced by Chrysler under warranty in 2005 at approx. 37,000 miles. The engine was replaced in 2010 at 95,820 miles by Randy's Automotive in Ahaheim. Randy's Automotive is one of only a few repair facilities in California certified by AAA. The engine and installation cost $3,596. Currently, this peppy little power plant only has a little over 37,000 miles on it. The windshield is new with not a scratch on it. The air blows ice cold. The Goodyear tires have at least 50% tread left. The front seats are heated. The back seats have seen little use in the past ten years. The photos show the car both with and without a grille. It is easily removable when the hood is open. The new front air dam and bumper cover look awesome to me, but if you prefer the vintage PT Cruiser look, the front air dam and bumper cover can easily be removed with a screw driver leaving no damage whatsoever to the front bumper. I know you'll love the navigation system! The maps are rendered in 3-D and provides audio turn-by-turn directions. Blue-tooth enabled, hands-free multimedia system supports DVDS, I-Pod, USB,A2DP, 3G Wi-Fi Internet, and digital TV. Built-in 4GB Hard disk holds up to 20 CDs! Dash cam is 1080p compliant for sharp HD recording. The original six-disc CD changer, a special and rare PT Cruiser picnic basket, and a new genuine Mopar headlight are also included at the Buy It Now price. |

Chrysler museum to open one last time on June 8
Thu, 18 Apr 2013Due to a lack of funding, Chrysler closed the doors to its Walter P. Chrysler Museum in Auburn Hills, MI back in December, but it sounds like the facility will be open next month for one last hurrah. According to a report in the Detroit Free Press, the Chrysler Museum will be open to the public one last time on June 8 for the annual Chrysler Employee Motorsport Association car show.
While the car show will take place in the museum's parking lot from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM on June 8 with a theme dedicated to muscle cars past and present, all attendees will be able to be among the last people to tour the museum - with free admission. The museum is known for housing some of the more important production and concept cars from Chrysler's history. Check out the car show's flyer for more information.
Chrysler and Google launch virtual 200 factory tour [w/video]
Tue, 23 Sep 2014Google is no stranger to showing off some of the most interesting automotive destinations in the world, like the museums for Lamborghini and Ducati, or even a Tesla showroom. However, it's taking that technology even further with a new, in-depth look of the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant where the Chrysler 200 is made. Unlike these earlier online excursions, the new Chrysler factory tour is a fully guided experience that includes several 360-degree videos explaining many parts of the production process.
"Just as we pioneered a completely new Chrysler 200, we are pioneering a new way for consumers to research a vehicle. The Factory Tour is an opportunity for us to prove to consumers that the all-new 2015 Chrysler 200 is not one ever built before," said Olivier Francois, Chrysler's chief marketing officer, in the company's release.
Chrysler was already pretty proud of its nearly $1 billion in recent updates to the Sterling Heights factory having released a look at the 200's assembly process earlier this year. However, the new Google tour goes far deeper by including 12 videos, and between highlighted stops, viewers can swing the camera all over to get a full view of the action. The whole thing is an intriguing way to show the way a modern car gets built.
Fiat's Marchionne ponders Chrysler going public again
Mon, 04 Mar 2013Fiat boss Sergio Marchionne says there's a real possibility that its majority-owned Chrysler Group may eventually return to the ranks of publicly traded companies. According to Bloomberg, the Fiat and Chrysler CEO gives that a "50 percent chance" of happening, but he doesn't appear to favor that scenario: "My preference is to be one single company... we belong together."
Marchionne has seemingly been operating under the assumption that Fiat will eventually own all of Chrysler, working to buy up the shares it doesn't own and looking to buy out the retiree trust fund that it shares Chrysler ownership with. Certainly, Chrysler going independent again would be increasingly difficult, as the companies continue to blend products, technologies, facilities and staffing, a trend started immediately after the Italian automaker became custodian of the brand following Chrysler's bankruptcy in 2009.
Marchionne's remarks to the media came at Chrysler's Kokomo, Indiana plant, where he was on hand to announce a major investment at four facilities in the state to build eight- and nine-speed automatic transmissions.
