HIS FAMILY SOLD IT TO A COLLECTOR AND WHILE I WAS VISITING BILTMORE ESTATES IN NORTH CAROLINA LAST YEAR, I DISCOVERED THIS CAR WHICH WAS OWNED BY LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALER SERVICE MANAGER AND A CHRYSLER LOVER TOO!! I WAS SO EXCITED TO PURCHASE THIS CAR BECASUE THIS TYPE OF QUALITY IS SO HARD TO FIND!!
THIS CAR IS STRAIGHT AND ALOMOST PERFECT. THE PAINT IS NICE AND SHINES NICELY. THERE ARE NO BAD PLACES ON THE PAINT. I REPLACED THE VIYNLE ROOF AS IS HAD SOME OF THE STICHING PULLING APART BUT ABSOLUTELY NO RUST UNDERNEATH PERIOD. IF THIS IS A CONCERN TO YOU I CAN INCLUDE A CONTACT NUMBER FOR THE UPHOLSTRY SHOP AND OWNERS NAME FOR FURTHER VERIFICATION FROM THIRD PARTY. THE CAR RUNS OUT GREAT AND I ACTUALLY DROVE IT HOME ALMOST 1000 MILES BACK TO FLORIDA!! THIS CAR STILL HANDELS LIKE NEW AND MOTOR SOUNDS GREAT. THE EXHAUST IS NEW, NEW BRAKES, NEW TIRES, AND HAS BEEN MAINTAINED FROM BEGINING TO PRESENT. THE CHROME IS NEAR PERFECT AND SHOWS NO SIGNS OF ACCIDENTS. THIS CAR DOES NOT NEED A RESTORATION AND WOULD BE CONSIDERED A HIGH QUALITY ORIGINAL UNRESTORED CLASSIC THAT IS READY TO ENJOY. THE INTERIOR LOOKS LIKE IT HAS NEVER BEEN USED! IT LITTERALLY LOOKS NEW INCLUDING THE DASH, ALL THE APPOINTMENTS, TRIM, HEADLINER, REALLY EVERYTHING LOOKS AS CLOSE TO WHAT IT LOOKED LIKE WHEN IT WAS NEW. THE CAR HAD Z-BAR UNDERCOATING FROM THE DEALER WHEN SOLD NEW WHICH IS A RUBBER COATED UNDERCOATING DESIGNED TO PREVENT RUST ISSUES AND MAINTAIN INTEGRETY OF THE SHEET METAL. THE UNDERSIDE OF THE CAR LOOKS VERY CLEAN AND SOLID. THIS CAR WAS GARAGE KEPT WHICH MAKES A HUGE DIFFERNCE. REMEBER THAT THIS WAS A CHRYSLER DEALERS PERSONAL CAR AND IT REALLY SHOWS NICELY. I WAS TOLD THAT THE MILES ARE ACTUAL BUT BECAUSE OF THE AGE OF THE CAR THE TITLE SHOWS EXEMPT ON THE MILES.

Pete Grady retiring from Chrysler, Maserati
Mon, Dec 8 2014Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is about to lose one of its top executives as the president of Maserati North America, Pete Grady, has announced his retirement. A lifelong automotive industry exec, Grady joined the American Motors Corporation back in 1984 after graduating from John Carroll University in his native Ohio. After AMC was bought out by Chrysler, Grady started rising through the ranks under the Pentastar as a sales manager. He was named vice president of network development and fleet operations in 2009 and was shortly thereafter put in charge of the Chrysler Group's dealer network. He continued to hold that position when he was named last year as the top man at Maserati North America. Grady will continue to hold responsibility for Chrysler's dealer network until his retirement takes effect on March 31, 2015. His position as head of Maserati's American office, however, will pass to the Trident marque's global sales chief Christian Gobber, who will hand off responsibility for the Chinese region to Mirko Bordiga but maintain his global portfolio. CHANGES AT THE TOP IN MASERATI NORTH AMERICA AND MASERATI CHINA Monday, 8 December 2014 – Effective January 1st, 2015, Christian Gobber will be assigned responsibility for Maserati North America, replacing Pete Grady, who has announced his intent to retire effective March 31st, 2015. Christian Gobber will maintain his responsibility for Maserati Global Sales. Effective January 1st, 2015, Mirko Bordiga will join Maserati and will be assigned responsibility for Maserati China, replacing Christian Gobber. Maserati further strengthens its sales and commercial structure in the two main markets for the Trident brand. Maserati CEO Harald Wester thanks Pete Grady for his dedication and achievements at the helm of Maserati in North America, and wishes all the best to Christian Gobber and Mirko Bordiga in their new positions. ### Chrysler Group's Grady to Retire December 5, 2014 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - Chrysler Group today announced that Peter Grady has stated his intention to retire, effective March 31, 2015. In the interim, Grady will retain his current responsibilities as Vice President Dealer Network Development and continue as a member of the Company's NAFTA Leadership Team. In a move announced earlier, Christian Gobber will assume responsibility for leading Maserati North America, effective January 1, 2015.
Chrysler called out over lackluster Ram Runner by racer who helped develop it
Fri, 11 Apr 2014Fans of off-roading and desert blasting might recall that Chrysler offers an aftermarket conversion that can turn a Ram 1500 into a road-legal desert racer, called the Ram Runner. The kit, sold through Mopar, includes some significant suspension upgrades, body tweaks and a brawnier cat-back exhaust for the truck's 5.7-liter V8.
Considering all of this, comparisons with the almighty Ford F-150 SVT Raptor are common. Among the off-road community, that makes these two a sort of Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang for people that prefer driving on dirt. In the Race-Dezert forum, the discussion as to which truck was better was proceeding as normal - Ram fans said their piece and Ford fans said theirs. Then, a man named Kent Kroeker offered up his two cents.
See, Kroeker is a Baja racer, and the man that helped develop the Ram Runner. Despite his association with the truck, though, he had some less than kind words for Chrysler and the Ram Runner.
Toledo continues fight for Jeep Wrangler production, despite mayor's death
Thu, Feb 19 2015Where will the next-generation Jeep Wrangler be built? That's an open question, but it's one that the city of Toledo, OH desperately wants to be the answer to. The city suffered a major blow, though, with the death of Mayor Michael Collins earlier this month. Collins had been the city's biggest champion during talks with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, before suffering a fatal heart attack on Feb. 6. But Collins' tragic death isn't dampening the city's desire to carry on as the home of the Wrangler. "The mayor's passing is tragic. But on Monday, when I came to work, I knew exactly what I needed to do and exactly what needed to be done," the city's director of development, Matt Sapara, told the Detroit Free Press. According to the Freep, Sapara said Toledo and the state of Ohio have delivered an outline of a development plan that would give FCA the ability to buy an extra 100 acres to expand the factory. This is to help accommodate FCA's targeted output of 300,000 to 350,000 next-generation Wranglers, up from the 240,000 the factory can make now. "Our target in the proposal is to provide a way to increase the production capacity to a number that allows Fiat Chrysler to meet its business model," Sapara told the Freep, adding that the land could be available later this summer. FCA, meanwhile, has shown a somewhat ambivalent attitude towards Toledo production, with CEO Sergio Marchionne openly discussing the pros and cons of continuing to build the Wrangler south of the Michigan border. "We are going to take a very hard look at this without ignoring what these guys have done," Marchionne told the Free Press at last month's Detroit Auto Show, adding that he'd like to keep production there, provided the cost of retooling is comparable to relocating to another facility.
