78 Nyb, 4 Door Hardtop, 400 B Block, Lockup 727 For Better Economy. Low Km's, on 2040-cars
Whitby, Ontario, Canada
78 NYB, 4 door hardtop, 400, lockup 727. Car runs perfect, and would be drivable anywhere with no work. I was driving this car daily until last fall. Was never driven in winter, I am the second owner. Has new tires, hoses, HEI ignition, Edelbrock carb, dual exhaust, Monroe air shocks. Factory non catylist car, no egr, no air pump. Engine is perfect and clean, no sludge and pics to prove that. This is one of the least optioned NYB's around! Did not even have a vinyl top, which to me is a bonus as the roof was actually finished and painted, no rust! The only option it got was manual AC, no auto temp II to worry about. No power seats, locks, etc. not even a passenger side mirror! It of course does have power windows as they were standard equipment. It is a Canadian spec so the rear electric defogger was standard. Delay wipers work perfect as well. Car is as rust free as you can get, seriously!, the only spots are the lower rear quarters. These have been patched simply with metal riveted over, these are not visible unless you really look for them. All other metal on the car is perfect but the paint needs work. There are the usual dings and dents as well as some areas where the paint is worn off. Chrome is all good and everything works as it should. You will not see one of these as clean as this! Inside, outside and underside is SPOTLESS. A must see if you want the last of the full size Chryslers, the last of the B block passenger cars! Has a medium duty trailer hitch as well. The interior is very good with just some light fading of the material in some areas. Needs a steering wheel or even just a cover to clean things up a bit. Dash is perfect. Car would make a nice import to your country! Big comfy couch with a cigarette lighter and ashtray on each door! Reading lamps and passenger pillows. They don't come any more comfortable than this. Pics, these are a bit old but the car looks exactly as shown. Come and see it or email for more pics. Deposit by paypal, cash on deliverly, or terms as mutually agreed. |

2017 Chrysler Pacifica will start at $29,590
Fri, Mar 11 2016Early reports suggested the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica would be more expensive than the outgoing model, but that's not entirely the case. The new minivan's base LX trim starts at $29,590 (after $995 destination) versus $30,990 for the 2016 Town & Country. The latest vehicle's prices are also in line with its competitors. All Pacificas have amenities like Active Noise Cancellation and the model's famous Stow 'n Go seats. For $31,490, customers can upgrade to the Touring trim to get SiriusXM satellite radio, power sliding doors, and automatic headlights. The Touring-L adds a little more luxury for $35,490 with features like rear parking assist, blind spot monitoring, and leather seats, which are heated for the front row. The Touring-L Plus at $38,80 includes even more useful items like a seven-inch driver display, 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system, heated steering wheel, heated second-row seats, and an upgraded stereo. The top of the Pacifica range is the Limited trim for $43,490, which piles on even more luxuries to haul the family around in style. The amenities include Nappa leather, ventilated front seats, an integrated vacuum, 3D navigation, HID headlights, LED foglights, panoramic sunroof, and hands-free doors and liftgate. It seems perfect for a road trip. Compared to the competition, the Pacifica has good fuel economy and similar pricing (all of which include destination). For example, the 2016 Honda Odyssey starts at $30,300 and can go up to $45,775 for the top Touring Elite model. The situation is similar with the Toyota Sienna, which ranges between $29,750 and $46,170 for the most expensive two-wheel drive version. The rapidly aging Nissan Quest starts out cheaper at $27,480 but tops out at $44,130. However, the Kia Sedona is significantly cheaper than the Pacifica, starting at $27,295 and going to $40,795 for the highest trim. The only potential downside to the Pacifica's pricing is FCA's discontinuation of the Dodge Grand Caravan. The model started at just $23,090 and topped out at $31,990, which gave the automaker a range of less expensive trims to lure price conscious customers. The company has lost that market advantage. We look forward to spending more time with the 2017 Pacifica when it arrives at dealers this spring. The Hybrid joins the lineup in the second half of the year.
Fiat to list on New York Stock Exchange?
Mon, 06 Jan 2014Citing the ever-nebulous "two sources close to Fiat," Reuters is reporting that the Italian automaker and owner of the Chrysler brand is likely to list itself on the New York Stock Exchange. The move could reportedly happen as soon as 2015, marking the end, at least in the minds of investors, of Fiat's 115-year base in Turin, Italy.
The Italian government is not likely to react favorably to Fiat's potential move from Italy to the United States, despite initially positive reactions to Fiat's landmark final purchase of Chrysler, the third-largest automaker in the US. Fiat spent $3.65 billion to buy out the 41.46-percent stake in Chrysler that had been owned by the United Auto Workers' VEBA trust fund.
With little sign of a swift European recovery, Fiat has little choice but to focus on markets outside its traditional home, and a listing in New York could potentially be a boon for investors. According to International Strategy and Investment analyst George Galliers, speaking to Reuters, "People [would be] more likely to think of the entity in the same context as they do Ford and GM" if it were listed on the NYSE.
This 1958 Chrysler Imperial Ultra 7 Pointer 1 is Japan's Batmobile
Sun, 02 Mar 2014It might be sacrilegious to admit among some auto enthusiasts, but there's more to driving than performance and speed. Sometimes it can be a matter of love, as it is for Yasushi Shiroi, who has spent the last 21 years building a faithful replica of a car from a '60s Japanese sci-fi show.
Shiroi's car is the star of the latest video from The Aficionauto and it's truly a labor of love. This machine, which is sort of like a Japanese Batmobile, is based on a 1958 Chrysler Imperial and is designed to recreate a car called the Pointer 1 from the series Ultra 7. The latter was apparently hugely popular when it ran in Japan in 1967 and 1968, and told the story a seven-member team that fought off aliens attacking Earth. While the car in the series never actually ran, Shiroi wanted one that would.
The Pointer 1 has been in constant development since Shiroi has owned it. All of the body modifications have been done in steel, but mechanically, it remains something of a mess. This replica might be slow - and to many people, ugly - but it has brought its owner about as much happiness as a car can, and that's something worth celebrating. Scroll down to check it out.
