Chrysler New Yorker St Regis Deluxe  I want everyone to please note that in my eyes this is a really nice driver for local shows and cruises. I am overly critical and I would rather underestimate the condition than to overstate it. I would agree with the Hagerty Evaluation tool  I would agree that this is a number 3 Hagerty. Please Google Hagerty Evaluation Tool for the infomation. Their price is much higher than my reserve . Please do not ask for reserve price.

With that being said this restoration was sole sentimental. The car was located in a garage in Maine, and it needed everything. While the car was relatively rust free from being stored inside it was all original inside and out!

OD reads 76k plus While I cannot prove this be true .. from my experience believe it is so based on the originality of the car inside and out and condition.

By original I mean every mechanical component had to either be replaced/reconditioned  since it was all original. The car was redone inside and out and as you can see turns heads. I am only going to list the highlights because the list is very extensive.

  • Power Brake Unit rebuilt @ $700
  • Power Steering Box rebuilt by Lares Corp@ $800
  • Interior redone twice due the poor color match
  • Total Brake Overhaul
  • Rebuilt Generator
  • Rebuilt Starter
  • Rebuilt Carberator
  • Rebuilt Distributer
  • New Gas Tank fabricated as I needed to replace the original. After purchasing two bad ones I had this one made. In the process I forgot to have cut the opening for gas guage which is a new unit. Therefore gas guage does not wotk but can be corrected buy new owner.

Please note. While overhauling the  entire brake system it was discovered that sometime in the past the right rear brake hub was changed to a 1957 chrysler. Exra brake shoes will be included. if  you might need them .

I am sure you can see where things are

All the chrome and emblems replaced with either NOS/really nice used or rechromed by Paul's Chrome($3500)

I have many extras that will come with the car including

  • Dealer Items
  • Extra Rebuilt Generator
  • Rebuilt Water Pump($500) It still has the original
  • Chrome/Original Carpet in a bag for storage
  • Stainless and much more

With all this begin said much as been left out to keep auction somewhat manageable.

Runs as good as it looks.

  • Needs as follows

All  that it needs is just some tinkering if the new owner wants to as example connecting 6 volt spotlight lights.I did by pass the heater core while working on the car but have not reconnected... Town and County radio not working . extra radio for parts with car.

Please note the HI Way HIFI is for Prop use only. It does come with a few records and as you should know 1955 was 6 volt and HI way HI FI began in 56 as 12 volt.

Most Bills and a photo history as well as an extensived recorded history from Chrysler of this particular  car including photo of build sheet

Finally. The car was worked on by an old school mechanic who rebuilt bumper to bumper his own 55 New Yorker so please understand this was  done as it should.

So much as been done and I am sure I have left much out but you get the idea. The car needs to be driven and showed off something I am not doing and sitting in the garage is not in the best interest of the car

Questions please ask but I must make this clear as I  idid with all my other ebay sales. I am respresenting this as a really nice driver.

USA BIDDERS ONLY....  I will accept cash or wire Transfer to my bank only  NO CHECKS but a $500 noreturnable deposit to pay pal will be required within 24 hours of auction.

The car is Located at zip 12845 Lake George NY for you transportation quote. Please be sure to use a reliable transporter Pay a bit more and be happy .

The car is being sold AS IS WHERE is. There is no Guarentee or a warrentee with this ale in any form so please be sure you understand the terms so you will be happy with your purchase

Detroit automakers gain market share simultaneously for first time in 20 years

Wed, 01 May 2013

While monthly sales figures might be an easy way of tracking the progression of the auto industry and individual automakers, looking at market share might be more indicative of how each company is actually standing up against its competitors. For the Detroit Three automakers, they have collectively lost almost 30 percent of the market over the last 20 years, but now, for the first time since 1993, Ford, General Motors and Chrysler have each posted market share gains at the same time.
According to Automotive News, Ford's share increased the most by 0.7 percent, GM was up 0.5 percent and Chrysler rose marginally by 0.2 percent, giving the Detroit automakers a total market share of 45.6 percent. As for the Japan's Big Three, the article reports that Toyota is up by 0.7 percent, Nissan is down the same amount and Honda has seen "little change."

Fiat-Chrysler alliance in jeopardy due to Pentastar's IPO filing?

Thu, 26 Sep 2013

The four-year relationship between Fiat and Chrysler has thus far been beneficial for both automakers, but it has also proven to be a complicated battle between Sergio Marchionne and the United Auto Workers - the latter controlling the remaining 41.5 percent of Chrysler. With the recent filing for a US IPO, it looks like Marchionne and the UAW appear to be playing a billion-dollar game of chicken, with both sides far apart on how much the union's shares are worth. If it comes down to Chrysler's remaining stake being publicly traded, it could act to drive a wedge between the two companies.
According to Bloomberg, Fiat's chairman John Elkann says "if the IPO will take place, there will be two companies, and that's different than having a single one." Now, we're not great at math, but this sounds like the complete opposite of the full merger that Marchionne has been pushing for since taking the helm at Chrysler. Bloomberg notes that the UAW's shares should be worth around $5.6 billion, but Fiat could end up paying as little as $4.9 billion for Fiat to gain full control of Chrysler. A story by The Detroit News points out that Marchionne's "alleged low-balling" is just the latest hurdle the Auburn Hills-based automaker must overcome as its ownership is being fought over for the fourth time in 15 years.

2013 Chrysler 300C John Varvatos Limited Edition

Fri, 04 Oct 2013

Who is John Varvatos? If you're like me, that's the question you were asking after seeing commercials that advertised a limited-edition model of the Chrysler 300 with this mystery man's name attached. If you're not like me and consider yourself a fashionista even in the slightest, then you probably already know that John Varvatos is a successful menswear designer who cut his teeth in the fashion houses of Ralph Lauren's Polo and Calvin Klein. He's also a native of Detroit, which makes the joining of his brand and that of Chrysler's more intelligible, what with the Auburn Hills-based automaker still eking efficacy from its nearly three-year-old "Imported from Detroit" tagline.
Whenever one of these co-branded vehicles crosses my path, I try to judge them according to some simple questions. The first is, does the co-branding make sense for the target audience? And the second is, do the changes improve or diminish the experience of the standard vehicle? With this partnership, both brands are clearly aiming at the same target, or perhaps Chrysler hopes its aim will improve by partnering with the JV set, bringing it closer to that bullseye of style-conscious trendsetters.
The second question, meanwhile, can be answered with your eyes alone, as no mechanical changes are included among the Varvatos upgrades. Despite that, the 300C John Varvatos Edition is priced above - well above - all other 300 sedans save the 300 SRT8, suggesting that cool is not sold by the barrel (was it ever?) and Mr. Varvatos is a dealer in the stuff. Yet while I couldn't actually tell you if John Varvatos was a designer or a ditch digger before Chrysler introduced us, I do like his style, and the man knows how to dress a car.
