Chrysler: Lebaron Tc Maserati on 2040-cars
Kenosha, Wisconsin, United States
Here is a Limited Production car built for Chrysler by Maserati. The TC is a two seater roadster convertible with hard top for winter driving. Fully loaded with all the options listed above. As they made a limited production of these cars from 1989-1991 the drive train and electrical are all Chrysler. For the most part getting parts for the car's maintenance are available, don't let name worry you yet have a very comfortable ride with the stability of a sports car! I bought this car 3 yrs ago from Denver Co and drove it home. After checking it over and putting on new tires I drove it to Detroit to the Hot Rod Pro Tour. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere! The only options that do not function is the A\C which can be converted to the new Freon and the front speaker. To my knowledge everything is in working order. I bought this car thinking I would use it as a daily drive but have other cars that I used instead. I'm selling this car because I have to many cars to maintain. As I put a scratch on the lower left door and small scratch on the roof removing it the body is in great shape. The driver's seat shows wear from getting in and out, very normal on these cars. The convertible top is perfect, no tears, glass rear window. I also have a Chrysler AM\FM CD radio, plug and play that goes with the car. When I bought the car the owner had a valve job and new timing belt installed prior to selling it to me. Here's a link if you want to know the history of this car: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysler_TC_by_Maserati As it is rare it is priced to sell. This car would be great for you or your children going to collage, loaded but very basic car to drive, maintain and it looks cool!!! Please ask questions!!! I will tell you what I know about this car. It sat all last winter and this past spring got in it and fired right up!! As I said, need to sell off a few cars, to many toys at my age! Sold as is....., If you live near by I would gladly show you the car, I have nothing to hide! Happy Bidding!!! I do have this car for sale locally and reserve the right to end the bidding early. Please Bid To Buy! A $250.00 down payment due 24hours after end of auction! Again.. PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS!!! |

Shasta County woman leads police on totally groovy chase
Tue, Mar 8 2016Would you lead police on a high-speed chase through town for a Scooby Snack? A Shasta County woman did just that over the weekend in her very own Mystery Machine. On Sunday, March 6, a Shasta County probation officer contacted the Redding, CA police department about Sharon Kay Turman who was wanted for violating probation, PIX 11 reported. After a short search, police located Turman near the intersection of California and Shasta streets at the wheel of a 1994 Chrysler minivan painted up like the Mystery Machine from Scooby Doo. Redding police attempted to stop Turman, but she apparently had an important mystery to investigate and she fled the scene. She sped down South Market Street with Redding Police in hot pursuit, running a red light and hitting four other vehicles in an intersection. This didn't stop the Mystery Machine however, and RPD broke off their chase as she entered southbound Highway 273. A California Highway Patrol helicopter picked her up on Hill Drive just north of Anderson, CA and she was pursued through town by Anderson PD at speeds in excess of 100 mph. She eventually abandoned the Mystery Machine on California Highway 36 and fled on foot. Turman's whereabouts, and the status of the Scooby Snacks, are currently unknown. She is wanted by both the Redding Police Department and Shasta County Probation. Both agencies told KRCRTV that they are asking anyone with information regarding her whereabouts to contact them. Fiat's Marchionne ponders Chrysler going public again
Mon, 04 Mar 2013Fiat boss Sergio Marchionne says there's a real possibility that its majority-owned Chrysler Group may eventually return to the ranks of publicly traded companies. According to Bloomberg, the Fiat and Chrysler CEO gives that a "50 percent chance" of happening, but he doesn't appear to favor that scenario: "My preference is to be one single company... we belong together."
Marchionne has seemingly been operating under the assumption that Fiat will eventually own all of Chrysler, working to buy up the shares it doesn't own and looking to buy out the retiree trust fund that it shares Chrysler ownership with. Certainly, Chrysler going independent again would be increasingly difficult, as the companies continue to blend products, technologies, facilities and staffing, a trend started immediately after the Italian automaker became custodian of the brand following Chrysler's bankruptcy in 2009.
Marchionne's remarks to the media came at Chrysler's Kokomo, Indiana plant, where he was on hand to announce a major investment at four facilities in the state to build eight- and nine-speed automatic transmissions.
IIHS says these are the safest cars of 2013
Wed, 02 Jan 2013The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has revealed its annual list of Top Safety Picks, an award that highlights automobiles it says offer "superior crash protection." A new and still more significant award, the Top Safety Pick+ honor, is given to those vehicles that earn good ratings for occupant protection in four out of five areas of measure. And while some 117 vehicles were given the TSP seal of approval for 2013, just 13 passed muster for TSP+.
To be fair, IIHS only evaluated 29 vehicles with its new testing procedures for TSP+ (we'd expect that the number of qualified cars will rise substantially for 2014). Luxury and Near Luxury midsize cars were the first groups evaluated, followed by midsizers in the Moderately Priced Cars category - unsurprisingly, it's only midsize cars that you'll find among the class this year.
Only two luxury sedans made the list of 13 for 2013: the Acura TL and Volvo S60. The other 11 cars on the list included entries from domestic, Japanese and German car makers: Dodge Avenger, Chrysler 200, Ford Fusion, Honda Accord (sedan and coupe), Kia Optima (but not its close kin, the Hyundai Sonata, strangely), Nissan Altima, Subaru Legacy and Outback, Suzuki Kizashi and the Volkswagen Passat all made the grade.
