1994 Chrysler Lebaron Gtc Convertible. Rust Free Many New Parts Low Miles on 2040-cars
Mansfield, Ohio, United States
Hello and welcome to our auction. What we have for you to bid on and enjoy is a 1994 Chrysler Lebaron GTC convertible. This is a very clean and totally rust free car. Especially for being from Ohio. The car has only seen one winter, that was this past one. In August of 2013 the car got new head gaskets, spark plugs, wires, distributor cap/rotor button, wiper blades. Over the winter in February it got a new timing belt, water pump, heater hoses, fuel hoses and thermostat. The car had been a daily driver and the owner has since purchased a newer car from her grandmother. This MUST go. We do not have room to keep it any longer. The body is RUST free, there is ZERO rust on the bottom even. We have had it on a lift. There are a few dings, larges on the drivers rear 1/4 panel near the tire. There are two smaller ones on the passenger side front fender. The paint is fading in spots, mostly hood/trunk. There are scratches on the top of the trunk. The top is NOT torn anywhere however it is coming apart at the seems. It is dirty and we believe it is original. The front seats are torn but there are pink/black seat covers included. The car is loaded. Has leather, power drivers seat, power windows, locks, mirrors, top. Has tilt/cruise. The a/c has been removed. This car runs/drives great. Really needs nothing. The passenger front tire does not match the other three. She hit a pot hole (they seem to be everywhere in Ohio) and busted the wheel/tire. The one on it is what the local "tire" place sold her. I was out of town when it happened. The other three tires are in nice condition. The right front is ok and will pass for summer. The car is a 3.0 V6 with automatic transmission. It is NOT new so please keep that in mind. It has been taken care of but it does have its flaws. Please view the pictures and ask any questions. We will not ship it but will work with the buyer any way we are able. We ask for $250 deposit within 24 hours via paypal. Remainder we would like to have in cash upon pickup. We really would like to have the car gone within 7 days of auctions end as we do not have anyplace to keep it any longer.

Italian government to lean on Fiat's Marchionne to commit to country
Sun, 26 May 2013With the recent chatter that Fiat is looking to move its global headquarters to the US following a complete merger with Chrysler, the Italian government is voicing its opinion on the matter. Facing the potential job loss from the automaker leaving the country, Italy's industry minister is meeting with Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne in what will likely be a plea to keep the company based in Turin rather than moving to Auburn Hills, MI - if indeed it is able to acquire the additional 41.5 percent of Chrysler currently owned by the United Auto Workers.
According to Bloomberg, Fiat is Italy's biggest private employer and unemployment is already nearing a 20-year high. The non-car side of Fiat, Fiat Industrial, is already planning a move to the UK, so it goes without saying that Fiat moving would be a pretty big blow for the Italian economy. In the article, Fiat says that the headquarters issue is "not on its agenda now," but that statement is far from a denial.
Renault wants to merge with Nissan, then go after Fiat Chrysler
Wed, Mar 27 2019The late Sergio Marchionne used to say consolidation would be the only way to compete against the biggest global carmakers. The company looks certain to fulfill that goal, but perhaps not in the way he intended. The Financial Times reports that Renault wants to begin merger talks with Nissan in the next 12 months. Assuming a merger gets completed, the plan is for the combined company to then pursue another merger, with Fiat Chrysler a prime target. Renault, Nissan, and Mitsubishi have been busy since cutting ties with ex-alliance boss Carlos Ghosn. They formed a new alliance board with Renault chairman Jean-Dominique Senard at the helm, Renault has shrunk the size of its board while Nissan added more outside directors, and the two agreed to a new governance structure to ease operational decision making. All three automakers have walked away from Ghosn-era goals to sell 14 million cars and find 10 billion euros in savings by 2022. New strategic plans for all three car companies are in the works. With stability in sight, it's said Senard wants to succeed where Ghosn failed — a full-fledged merger between Renault and Nissan with talks to begin "as soon as possible." Ghosn's pursuit of a merger last year in attempt to make the 20-year-old alliance "irreversible" is part of what led to his downfall, with Nissan executives including CEO Hiroto Saikawa against the push. The new effort is presented as larger scale being the only way for the alliance to take on companies like Volkswagen and Toyota. But the Nissan-Renault-Mitsubishi trio sold 10.76 million cars around the world last year, second to Volkswagen with 10.83 million sales, ahead of Toyota with 10.39 million. If Nissan hadn't suffered a 2.8 percent dip in sales, the alliance would have taken the top spot. If a little scale is good that means more is better, right? Pulling Fiat Chrysler into the alliance would add around 5 million annual sales, and would be another move in Ghosn's footsteps. The former honcho is said to have "held talks with FCA" about some kind of union within the past three years. The French government, which has a 15 percent stake in Renault and double voting rights, shut down the initiative. It's not clear if FCA will be an independent company by the time a potential Nissan-Renault merger closed, though.
Jeep Begins Fixing 1.56 Million Recalled Grand Cherokee, Liberty SUVs
Tue, Jan 14 2014Chrysler is just now beginning the big job of fixing 1.56 million older Jeep SUVs seven months after a recall was announced, according to The Detroit News. Jeep Grand Cherokees sold between 1992 and 1998 and Jeep Liberty models sold between 2002 and 2007 are being recalled because the gas tank can leak in the event of a rear-end collision, leading to a fire. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration originally requested the recall of 2.7 million vehicles. Chrysler initially disputed NHTSA's findings and seemed willing to go through a court battle until an 11th-hour deal reduced the number of vehicles involved in the recall. The remaining vehicle owners left out of the recall will receive a "customer service action" notification and may not get fixed. Chrysler says the vehicles are safe and need no repairs. Fixing the 1.56 million Jeeps will cost Chrysler $151 million. NHTSA cited 51 deaths causes by such tank fires. Chrysler plans to install protective trailer hitches to protect the gas tanks, but even the automaker admits the hitches will only provide incremental protection in a low-to-moderate speed rear-end crash.
