1994 Chrysler Lebaron Gtc Convertible 2-door 3.0l on 2040-cars
Carlisle, Pennsylvania, United States
Up for bid is a 1994 Chrysler LeBaron CONVERTIBLE - just in time for SUMMERRRRRRRRR. I bought this car three years ago with 77,000 miles and it is a lot of fun in the summer, however, I now have a motorcycle and not as much in need of this car. It needs some TLC as you can see in the pictures and read. I offer full disclosure as to the condition of the vehicle. Feel free to ask any questions and I do NOT have a reserve. The GOOD: The engine is strong and runs great! I have no trouble getting it up to 85 or more on the interstate when I take it to work. 4,000 miles ago I had the water pump and timing belt replaced. Also, recently, I had the valve cover gasket replaced and the oil pressure sending unit. The tires are like new (So there is an immediate $500 value in the car!). I have one pic of the rear and one of the front tires. The trunk is clean!
The BAD: AS you can see in the pics, the body is not the best. Both Quarter Panels are dented in at the doors, yes - a matching set! For some reason, the ABS light is on. I had my mechanic check out all four wheels and he stated that he could not see anything wrong. I will gladly provide his contact information if you have questions about the vehicle as he has serviced it the whole time I have owned it. The drivers seat is really beat up. I have a cover for it, but wanted to show you the pics underneath. The convertible is manual...The switch got recessed into the console AND the hydraulic cylinder quit working so I removed it. The drivers side door does not latch unless you learn the magic touch. It basically needs adjusted to latch. (See pics of latched and unlatched). That being said, the drivers side window is mis-aligned. The radio WORKS, but the display does not. In the three years I have owned this car, it has come on several time. (Loose wire)?
The UGLY: The top is in poor shape. As you can see, I have duct tape (matching of course) to cover the leaks. I just couldn't see spending the extra cash to get this fixed as I only drove it when the weather was nice. The RR quarter window is busted out, I have a new one but did not get it installed ($100 value). Actually neither 1/4 window functions up or down
Feel free to ask additional questions. This is a FUN, RELIABLE car the needs a home and someone to take care of her. There are a lot of little things this car needs that someone with a mechanical mind and time could bring this baby back to life!
Thanks for looking.

Chrysler IPO to be filed as early as this week
Mon, 16 Sep 2013An initial public offering for the Chrysler Group could happen this week, following Sergio Marchionne's comments to Financial Times in London, according to a report from The Detroit News. Fiat, which owns 58.5 percent of Chrysler, has been in a battle with the UAW retiree healthcare trust over its minority stake in the company. While the automotive union recognizes its role as a temporary shareholder, the two couldn't come to an agreement on how the shares should be priced.
As Marchionne explained to FT, a Chrysler IPO allows the market, rather than the two competing sides, to determine the value of the shares. The public offering is a risky move, which could potentially hang one side out to dry - if the shares go high, it's bad news for Fiat, but if they go low, the UAW stands to lose. Regardless of where the stock prices go in an IPO, though, it's a move that's being supported by analysts, who are quick to cite Chrysler's near-constant growth and a product lineup that is getting healthier with each new introduction.

Chrysler 200 configurator already online
Wed, 15 Jan 2014A preliminary configurator for the 2015 Chrysler 200 is already up and greeting Internet visitors. The totally re-envisioned sedan that we got to know in our Deep Dive starts with an LX base trim for $22,695, which comes out to an MSRP of $21,700 plus $995 for destination. That number will get you entry to a party that comes with keyless entry, ambient LED lighting inside, a five-inch Uconnect touschcreen system with Bluetooth, a six-speaker stereo, eight-way power driver's seat, safety features like brake assist and an electronic parking brake and eighteen-inch wheels on all-season tires.
The features list isn't yet broken down by model, but including destination, the other three trims retail for $24,250 for the Limited, $25,990 for the S and $26,990 for the C. All-wheel drive adds $4,200 on the S and the C.
You can build an LX pretty quickly because there aren't many options. There are two interior choices, black or black/linen, five exterior color options, and just two choices after that: you can opt for the $495 five-inch Uconnect system that adds features like voice command and a rearview mirror with a microphone, and an engine block heater for $95.
