Up for sale or possible trade is an amazing example of 1950's big fin cars. This 1957 Chrysler Imperial Coupe
sports a spunky and excellent running 392 Hemi engine with a smooth shifting Torqueflight transmission. The running
gear in this car is in excellent condition, starts right up, idles smooth, no smoke, no leaks, no overheating.
She drives down the road just like she looks and gets plenty of attention. You can drive for a long time before you
see another Imperial as nice as this.
The History:
As told to me, this car was part of a very large collection of cars stored many years in Florida. It had not been
on the road in well over 20 years and the mileage on the car is most likely original, but no way to know for
certain. the lack of rust would indicate the car was indeed inside as there was very little rust to deal with
during a moderate restoration.
Work done:
When I got the car nearly a year ago, it arrived in completely original and unmolested condition, a true survivor.
She was a dull gold color, the interior was also gold and in need of replacing. The body was very sound. It is a
rock solid car wit very little rust issues. The right front fender has been replaced as there were too many dents
to try to fix, the left rear quarter panel had some rust along the trim line but was easily repaired. The rockers,
floorboards, engine compartment, inner fenders and all else was very solid. There was a touch of rot in the right
rear of the trunk but was removed and repaired.
All the panels are original to the car, the doors, hood, truck lid etc all came with her. The engine and trans
were pulled, gone over, checked out good, detailed and put back together. The heads were done with a minimal amount
of work required. This 392 Hemi engine is strong and steady.
The front end was rebuilt, new shocks, brakes, brake lines all around, new bushings, except torsion bars, were
installed. Tires are at about 80%.
The body was in very solid condition but for the previously mentioned. The car received a very nice single stage 2
tone paint job, not car show quality, but certainly very attractive. The color was completely changed from the
original gold and done so well and completely, it would be difficult to see the color change.
The interior was completely redone using the highest quality and most durable fabric available. The carpet,
headliner, dash, all new.
What makes this car so interesting ids that absolutely everything works. The clock, radio, all windows, turn
indicators, gauges, lights, dome lights, running lights all work as they were designed. The A/C is all there but
did not take the time to make work, the heater and blower all work great.
The glass is all in excellent condition. The chrome in and out is all nearly flawless, the bumpers are solid. The
undercarriage is clean and without issues.
Please check out pics, email or call 530-519-2195 with any questions . I am selling this car for my brother in
law, he will consider trades. The car is stored inside and can remain there until picked up for transport. I have
not driven this car on any lengthy trips. It is not currently registered but comes with a clean and clear title.
Note: I have a full set of 14" Imperial hubcaps that can go with the car. The tires that are in place are 15". I
have a considerable amount of additional parts for the Hemi, and the car itself. The hubcaps on the car are
aftermarket.

FCA posts $716m profit in 2014, has big plans for 2015
Fri, Jan 30 2015In practically every metric, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles announced growing worldwide earnings for 2014 in its latest financial release. The automaker sold 4.608 million vehicles globally for the year, a 6-percent jump, and total revenue grew 11 percent to 96.090 billion euros ($109 billion). Profits before taxes also increased by 161 million euros ($182 million) from last year to 1.176 billion euros ($1.3 billion). However, net profits did tumble by 1.319 billion euros ($1.5 billion) to a total of 632 million euros ($716 million). These figures put FCA slightly ahead of what some analysts expected. According to Automotive News, the company's adjusted earnings before taxes and interest of 3.651 billion euros ($4.1 billion) beat a forecast figure of 3.4 billion euros ($3.9 billion). Regionally, Europe is showing signs of a comeback. FCA lost 109 million euros ($123 million) there in 2014, but that was almost a triumph compared to the 506 million euro ($573 million) loss in 2013. According to Automotive News, North America played a major role in the company's success, accounting for 55 percent of its revenue. While these annual figures show growth, FCA is even more optimistic about its prospects in 2015. The company is forecasting shipments of between 4.8 and 5 million vehicles worldwide next year. It also estimates earnings before interest and taxes to reach 4.1 billion and 4.5 billion euros ($4.6 billion – $5.1 billion). You can read FCA's full results in PDF format, here. While this release focuses on worldwide figures, FCA US, previously known as Chrysler Group, announces its US results on February 3. 2013 Dodge Dart gets all Moparized
Fri, 08 Feb 2013Last year, Chrysler announced it would be offering more than 150 Mopar parts and accessories on the 2013 Dodge Dart, and we got a look at some of these parts firsthand at the Chicago Auto Show. Showing off all the optional parts at once would surely create a gaudy monstrosity, so Chrysler chose to equip this particular Dart GT with just a handful of Mopar goodies, which still gave the car a nice and tasteful custom look that is available straight from the dealership (and with a full warranty, too).
Decked out in a factory color called Header Orange Clear Coat - also a very appropriate show car hue - this car added exterior styling parts such as the vented, carbon fiber hood, the bolt-on front chin spoiler and a matte black decklid spoiler. Looking inside the car, you'd think the red-accented interior is part of the Mopar parts bin, too, but this is actually what the standard Dart GT cabin will look like when it goes on sale.
