Mint 2005 Chrysler Crossfire Limited Roadster Only 13k Miles Original Owner on 2040-cars
Roscoe, Illinois, United States
2005 Chrysler Crossfire Limited Roadster NO RESERVE AUCTION Like New 2005 Chrysler Crossfire Limited Roadster Sapphire Silver Blue Metallic. We are the ORIGINAL OWNERS and purchased it new of the dealer showroom in February of 2006. Car is absolutely gorgeous. This is the nicest one in the country. The car is driven only 3 months a year and has NEVER seen rain or snow. We keep it covered on a hoist in a hearted garage when it is not being driven. The car is MINT; there is no curb rash on the wheels, no scratches in the paint, and no oxidation to the headlights (common on Crossfire's). The interior shows as new with virtually no wear on the seats (bolsters commonly show a lot of wear), no rips or any tears. We have had seat covers on it since new. The carpet is Like new, as the car had all-weather floor mats installed since new. Even the Cup Holder that is commonly broken is in working order. The top is also in perfect condition, both mechanically and cosmetically. The car does have a pin-size nick above the door handle; it was there when we bought the car. There is also two very small nicks on the front bumper. basically two small rock chips. Please look at the pictures as I documented both of them. 99% of people will not notice them, but I am extremely picky about maintaining the condition of the car and I want to describe the car as accurately as possible. The car has been maintained impeccably as my father is an ex-Mercedes-Benz Tech. and is familiar with these cars. The Oil was changed every June when the car was taken out for the summer. The car is in perfect mechanical condition, and has been extremely reliable. The only issue that we have had with the car was the valve cover gaskets had a slight leak. Chrysler replaced both the gaskets and cylinder head covers under warranty. The issue has NOT re-occured. I have all the paperwork for this repair. I also just put a new battery in it a week ago. Other than that, the car has been great. The tires have about 60% of tread left in the rear and about 70% in the front. For those that don't know much about the Crossfire, it is one of the nicest cars Chrysler ever made. This is mainly because the Crossfire is technically a Mercedes-Benz SLK. It shares the R170 platform with the SLK and has the Mercedes M112 3.2L V6 paired to a Getreg 6-Speed Manual. The car was Coach-built at the Karmann Factory in Germany. This is sure to be a future collector! Car comes with original Manual, both sets of keys, and all the paperwork. The Title is Clean and is in my name. This is a Private Party sale, and not a dealer. The only reason I am selling it is because we have three convertibles and just bought a new boat. We do not have time to enjoy everything! I tried to describe the car as accurately as possible, but there is a chance I missed something. Please contact me if you have any questions. Please call/ text or message me. My # is 815-980-5932. Check out my feedback and buy with confidence! *Item is for sale locally and I have the right to end the auction at anytime* ZERO FEEDBACK BIDDERS PLEASE CONTACT ME!!! |

Baby Jeep to join Renegade in FCA's plan for new Italian-built models
Tue, Nov 27 2018FCA is boosting its European production, introducing new models that will be built in currently under-utilized manufacturing facilities. Among the new models is a new small Jeep, smaller than the current Renegade, as Automotive News reports. FCA's Mike Manley mentioned the entry-level Jeep model earlier this year, also saying that the vehicle is targeted to European and possibly Latin American customers; in the summer, Autocar placed the launch date in 2022. The new "baby" Jeep would be made in the same factory in Pomigliano, Italy, as the small Fiat Panda, which is a top seller in Italy. The current generation Panda was introduced in 2011; if it gets a replacement in 2022, it could possibly share a platform with the Jeep model — or, the Jeep could be an eventual outright replacement for the Panda. One of Fiat's earlier core products, the Punto hatchback, was canned in August, and that production capacity will be used to make the Jeep Compass instead, at the Renegade-producing Melfi factory in southern Italy. The Compass has not previously been built in Europe. The Fiat model portfolio would be shrunk to just the 500 model family and the Panda — the 500 would also be FCA's key electric vehicle offered in Europe. It is not yet clear whether the electric 500 would be made in Turin, Italy, or in Poland; Turin might also get a Giardiniera-badged wagon version of the refreshed 500. As for the Alfa Romeo brand, it is set to gain an even bigger SUV model than the Stelvio, based on the Maserati Levante's platform. The Levante's sales have suffered recently in China, but Maserati does have light in the horizon: The Alfieri 2+2 grand tourer is still in the cards, with a launch expected for 2020 and both a convertible and an electrified version planned to follow. The Alfieri would be made in Modena, Italy, according to Automotive News' sources. None of these plans namedrop the storied Lancia brand, which has been shrunk to just the Ypsilon hatchback, based on the same platform as the current 500 and Panda. Despite that, the Ypsilon was again the second-bestselling car in Italy after the Panda in October. It is unlikely that FCA will be able to ignore this, but it is just as unlikely that any development money will be afforded to come up with a replacement for the Ypsilon, which is as similarly old as the Panda. Perhaps official announcements expected on Thursday will also clarify what will happen to Lancia.
Jeep hiring 1,000 part-time workers in Toledo on Wrangler, Cherokee demand
Wed, 12 Mar 2014The new Jeep Cherokee has been quite a success for Chrysler, but its factory workers are getting tired. The automaker has agreed to hire up to 1,000 part-time, temporary employees at its Toledo Assembly Complex where the CUV and Wrangler are built. It will allow the company to keep Jeep production moving, while giving laborers a break.
According to plant manager Chuck Padden in the Toledo Blade, full-time workers are regularly taking on 60 hours a week, and it's beginning to wear on them. "To get them more time off is important to us, to make sure they're refreshed, and can work safely," said Padden.
Chrysler has already hired 380 temporary, part-time workers for the plant, and 50 have been converted to full-time employees. The company is in the process of interviewing the rest of the new hires now and plans to have all 1,000 in place by the summer. They will work between 10 and 30 hours a week mostly on weekends for $15.78 per hour with limited benefits. The temporary positions will last "as long as demand continues for the Jeep Wrangler and the Jeep Cherokee," said Jodi Tinson, Chrysler spokesperson for manufacturing and labor communications, to Autoblog in an email.
Fiat-Chrysler shows its SEMA lineup
Fri, 24 Oct 2014Fiat Chrysler Automobiles already previewed its 2014 SEMA show lineup with some slick renders. Now, the automaker has finally showed us the actual cars, and among the group there are definitely some that stand out more than others.
Dodge is really showing off its muscle at this year's show with four concepts that all pump up the power of the brand's models. Perhaps most interesting among them is the Challenger T/A Concept (pictured above) in striking Sublime Green and matte black. It's meant to resemble the classic Trans Am racer from the '70s. Under the hood is a 6.4-liter V8, and to fit the vintage style there's a pistol-grip gearshift inside.
The Charger R/T also gets some attention with the Mopar concept that shows off what FCA's aftermarket performance arm can do. Mods include an updated body kit, cold-air intake for the 5.7-liter V8 and a coil-over suspension kit. Beyond that, the Dart R/T Concept looks a lot meaner with a black hood with duct work that leads straight to the air intake. The rest of the compact sedan is dolled up in O-So-Orange paint and is fitted with upgrades to improve handling like a coil-over suspension and big brake kit from the Mopar catalog.
