I own a body shop and every winter I buy a wrecked roadster to fix for the wife and kids to drive in the summer. As it seems we have had rain every day for 3 months this summer, not roadster weather I am selling this one early. This car was hit square in the left door and left rocker.setting off the left door airbag.had some repairable damage to left qt, panel and the left fender. The owner wanted it totaled and I bought it from the Ins. Co. A week before it was wrecked the owner had a new high dollar top installed on the car because the window was coming lose in the back. the top was not damaged or effected by the wreck. It also had no suspension damage or any damage to the drive train or wheels. But was sent out for alignment 4 wheel when completed. I put a new Interstate battery,a new water pump and thermostat and had it scanned by Chrysler to check any codes or recalls as well as put two new tires on rear before giving it to the wife and kids for the summer.this car looks good drives good and has no problems will not disappoint. all paint is orig. less the left side which was painted due to wreck it matches up perfect. there was a small scuff on the tip of the front bumper and a small dent in the rt door it could be removed by a dent guy or PDR . we added a scuff to the rear bumper right side . hard to see due the color of the car and the black rubber on the bumper is made from. see photos of all described damage . also the hood shock is dead and has a pin now to hold it up was told they were a problem with this type of car as they use only one shock see photo. please email with any ? This is not a salvage title it is a rebuilt title good in all 50 states like any other title you take it to the DMV pay taxes and insure and get a new title in you name just as you would any other title. It just states rebuilt on the front. Car was repaired right and looks great. Like I said it will not disappoint Its a great car for the money. In the photo of the top there is dust on the rt side This auction was taken down by ebay my card on file had expired and i had to get it worked out that is why it is re listed if you need more photos please email me .

How fracking is causing Chrysler minivans to sit on Detroit's riverfront
Fri, 25 Apr 2014It's fascinating the way that one change to a complex system can have all sorts of unintended consequences. For instance, there are hundreds of new Chrysler Town and County and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans built in Windsor, Ontario, sitting in lots on the Detroit waterfront because of the energy boom in the Bakken oil field in the northern US and parts of Canada.
The huge amount of crude oil coming from these sites mostly use freight trains for transport, and that supply boom has resulted in a shortage of railcars to carry other goods. According to The Windsor Star, North American crude oil transport by train has gone from 9,500 carloads in 2008 to 434,032 carloads in 2013. Making matters worse, some North American rail infrastructure is still damaged because of this year's harsh winter, and that's slowing things down even further.
Chrysler admits to The Star that it has had some delivery delays due to the freight train shortage. In the meantime, it's using more trucks to deliver its vehicles. Trucking is a far less economical solution, partially because a train can carry so many more units at one time, but alternatives are slim. The Windsor plant alone has a deal for 33 trucks to distribute the minivans around Canada and the Midwestern US.
Chrysler 100 hatchback caught cruising around Santa Monica
Thu, 21 Feb 2013A coming hatchback said to be called the Chrysler 100 has been caught on video traipsing around Santa Monica by Autoblog reader Zach Dillman. Still wearing the scrapyard assemblage of Alfa Romeo Giulietta body panels as it was when spy photographers began capturing it last summer, its arrival date is still a question mark: some outlets have reported that it will go on sale this year, others have said it won't be in showrooms until 2016.
In fact, quite a few questions remain. Based on Fiat's Compact US Wide (CUSW) platform that supports the Dodge Dart and expected to be about the same size, the 100 is thought to be a small premium hatchback that will be priced above the Dart and below the Chrysler 200, with the idea that it can challenge the Ford Focus and Hyunda Elantra at the value end and the Buick Verano and Acura ILX at the premium end. Word is that there will be no sedan version.
It looks like there'll be plenty of gewgaws inside, with buttons for Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning and a button to toggle the traction control.
Chrysler Q3 profits surge to $611M but per-unit profits trouble
Thu, 06 Nov 2014Chrysler Group has announced its third-quarter financial results a little later than its crosstown rivals at General Motors and Ford, but the company has reason to celebrate thanks to strong numbers across the board.
The biggest attention-grabber from the automaker is that its net income was up 32 percent in the third quarter to $611 million, compared to $464 million over the same period last year. Modified operating profit was also strong at $946 million - a 10 percent gain. Furthermore, net revenue grew as well to $20.7 billion - 18 percent higher Q3 2013.
Growing sales pushed the strong financials. Chrysler Group sold about 711,000 vehicles worldwide for the quarter, up 18 percent from a year ago. Things looked especially good in the US, where its market share grew to 12.3 percent, versus 11.2 percent in Q3 2013.
