Here is a wonderful opportunity to acquire a gorgeous one owner Chrysler Crossfire. Never winter driven, fanatically maintained by its original owner, no stories and a spotless car fax. Always serviced at a Benz dealership, Mobil one since new., all scheduled maintenance completed, new tires front and rear, ready for this summers driving season. As you are probably aware Crossfires are based on a Mercedes SLK chassis and running gear, assembled in Germany, and were shipped to selected Daimler Chrysler dealers here in the States. Original sticker price was in excess of 42k. Fully optioned with every conceivable luxury option, power convertible top, heated memory seats, Infinity 8 speaker stereo and CD, leather interior, Mercedes 3.2 liter SOHC V6, 5 speed programmable automatic transmission with sport and manual shift modes, touring suspension, staggered performance tires, 18" front and 19" rear, electronic stability control, traction control, 4 wheel anti lock disc brakes and much, much more. Very low mileage, perfect top, interior and exterior finish. These are sensational driving roadsters. Great performance and handling, solid, safe with impeccable build quality and comfort. Certainly underappreciated when new but now knowledgeable drivers are becoming aware of the value and quality these Crossfires offer. I have owned and currently own SL's, 911's, Boxsters, even a Maranello, and every time I drive a Crossfire I am always amazed at what these cars offer at a price which certainly must be considered reasonable. Please check my feedback, I have been fortunate to acquire select motorcars and take great pride in offering fine examples to enthusiasts like myself. Email any questions, all will be answered honestly and promptly. If you like my phone number will be furnished by request. Car is available for inspection by appointment and is located in Rutland Vermont. Bid with confidence, a very fair reserve has been set, you will not be disappointed if you are the fortunate new owner of this fine automobile. I

Maserati's new North American CEO is Chrysler's dealer guru

Wed, 13 Nov 2013

There's been a bit of a shakeup among the executive ranks at Chrysler and Maserati, as the Italian sports car manufacturer has appointed Peter Grady as its new North American CEO. Grady, who we imagine is about to get a very nice upgrade to his company car, will retain his role as vice president of dealer network development for Chrysler and Chrysler Capital, and is replacing Bob Graczyk at Maserati.
"It is with pleasure and anticipation that I welcome Peter to Maserati. He brings to our company nearly 30 years of leadership and experience. His background and industry expertise will be a great basis for the continued expansion of Maserati in North America," said Maserati CEO Harald Wester in a statement.
Also joining the team at Maserati is Saad Chehab, who previously worked for the Chrysler and Lancia brands and will be the new head of marketing for the Italian brand. He'll be replaced by Al Gardner, the former boss of Chrysler's southeast business center, as the head of Chrysler brand, according to Automotive News.

Minivan market not what it used to be, but margins make up for it

Thu, 05 Jun 2014

Residual values for last year's minivans are higher than they were in 2000.
Much like the station wagon was the shuttle of Baby Boomer generation, the minivan has been the primary means of transport for Generations X and Y. Just as the boomers abandoned the Country Squire, though, those kids that were toted around in Grand Caravans and Windstars are adults, and they certainly don't want to be seen in the cars their parents drove.

Chrysler recalling nearly half a million vehicles with active head restraints

Thu, 04 Jul 2013

Chrysler has announced that it will recall roughly 490,000 vehicles around the globe due to a potential active head-restraint problem. The problem is being blamed on "potentially faulty microcontrollers" that may keep the vehicles' anti-whiplash active safety feature from working properly. Chrysler says it has no knowledge of any accidents or injuries related to the issue. Models covered under the recall include the 2011-2013 Chrysler Sebring, 200 (shown) and Dodge Avenger models, along with 2011-2013 Jeep Liberty and 2011-2012 Dodge Nitro SUVs.
Interestingly, the Pentastar notes that the faulty part came from an (unnamed) supplier who furnished the parts in the wake of Japan's 2011 earthquake and tsunami, natural disasters which decimated the world's supply of microcontrollers.
Chrysler says of those nearly half a million vehicles affected, around 442,000 of them reside in the US, with an additional 25,000 in Canada and 10,000 units in Mexico. A further 12,000 models were shipped beyond the NAFTA region. The Auburn Hills automaker will begin sending out recall notices shortly, and technicians will upgrade the system software or replace the microcontroller as necessary at no cost to owners.
