LETS CLEAR THIS UP FROM THE START: NO Out of US bidders/buyers.... NO payment plans/financing... NO zero feedback bidders, if you are please write me first, that way I know you are legit..
For sale is my sleek chrysler crossfire slt. This car has a 6 speed manual trans, full loaded with power everything. The car is basically a mercedes slk320 with a chrysler body. new stage 3 clutch installed at 130k. Highway miles this is my commuter car from michigan to put in bay ohio every weekend in the summer. The car has Y rated low profile racing tires capable of handling 150+ mph. The were replaced last summer 18" in the front, 19" in the rear. clean inside and out, I treat my cars well. No rust, no issues, oil always changed when needed with mobil european synthetic (9qts). The car is black and features a viperskin hood, with the look and feel like snake skin. This little sportster is very quick, and sharp, Ive had it for 3 years and love it, however, My wife is 8 months pregnant, and has a hard time getting in and out, and its strictly a 2 seater. The car sits low, so if you are over 6 foot 6, or over 300 pounds, or arthritis is an issue, this is not the car for you. It requires premium fuel which I only put in, and gets around 30mpg. Clean title in hand, no lien, the only issue on the entire vehicle is we have only 1 key fob, if bid goes over 5k, I will give you $150 cash to buy another. The car fax should show an insurance claim from this spring, we had an incident where someone broke the rear glass while it was parked to steal stuff from the trunk. The rear glass was expensive so we filed the claim for repair, it was non-mechanical, and not an accident, just a broken rear windshield. Happy bidding feel free to ask questions or come see for yourself, fyi please dont buy if you cannot drive a manual transmission. |

What will the next Presidential limo look like?
Thu, 25 Jul 2013With recent news that the Secret Service has begun soliciting proposals for a new armored limousine, we've been wondering what the next presidential limo might look like. The current machine, nicknamed "The Beast", has a design based on a car that's no longer sold: the Cadillac DTS. If General Motors gets the job again, which wouldn't be a surprise considering the government still owns a chunk of the company, the next limo's shape would likely resemble the new XTS (below, left). But Cadillac hasn't always been the go-to car company for presidential whips.
Lincoln has actually provided far more presidential limousines throughout history than Cadillac. In fact, the first car modified for Commander-in-Chief-carrying duty was a 1939 Lincoln K-Series called "Sunshine Special" used by Franklin D. Roosevelt, and the last Lincoln used by a president was a 1989 Town Car ordered for George H.W. Bush. If President Obama wanted a Lincoln today, it would likely be an amalgam of the MKS sedan and MKT crossover, as illustrated above.
And what about Chrysler? The only record we could find of a President favoring the Pentastar is Nixon, who reportedly ordered two limos from the company during his administration in the '70s, and then another one, known today as the "K-Car limo," in the '80s after he left office. Obama, however, has a personal - if modest - connection to Chryslers, having owned a 300 himself before he took office. A 300-based Beast (above, right) would certainly earn the U.S. some style points.
Dongfeng and PSA extend Chinese joint venture
Thu, Dec 19 2019BEIJING/PARIS — China's Dongfeng and Peugeot maker PSA are extending their business cooperation, despite the Chinese company reducing its stake in PSA to help smooth the French carmaker's merger with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA). Dongfeng said on Thursday it had agreed with PSA to extend the duration of their joint venture Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobiles (DPCA). Under the deal, the venture could get the rights to PSA's new brands in China and will benefit from new technologies and intellectual properties, the Chinese company said. PSA was not immediately available for comment. The announcement comes a day after the companies said Dongfeng would reduce its 12.2% stake in PSA by selling 30.7 million shares to the French company. Analysts said the move could smooth U.S. regulatory approval for PSA's roughly $50 billion (GBP38.97 billion) merger with Italian-American carmaker FCA. The sale of Dongfeng's shares in PSA, worth around 680 million euros ($757 million), will leave the Chinese group holding around 4.5% of the merged PSA-FCA, which is set to become the world's fourth-biggest carmaker by sales volumes. "As the cooperation between Dongfeng and PSA deepens, we expect the joint venture to continue making good progress in China," a Dongfeng representative said. On a conference call, Dongfeng said DPCA would have exclusive rights to PSA's Opel cars should the partners agree to bring the brand to China, and enjoy lower prices on car parts imported from PSA. Earlier this year, a document seen by Reuters showed Dongfeng and PSA plan to cut jobs at Wuhan-based DPCA and reduce its number of car plants to try to make the venture more profitable. Dodge Viper saved from crusher by students, but will it last?
Tue, 16 Sep 2014The saga of the Washington state community college hoping to keep its allegedly pre-production Dodge Viper out of the maw of the crusher is going strong. Not only does the school still have the car, but there's a chance that the college might even get to keep it.
The whole situation flared up in March when the South Puget Sound Community College in Olympia, WA, received a notice from Chrysler Group that requested that the school's Viper be destroyed. The automaker had loaned the muscle car to it about a decade ago to use for educational purposes in its auto tech classes. With the Dodge growing long in the tooth, "it is unlikely that these vehicles offer any educational value to students," the company said in its press release on the matter.
However, the college balked at destroying its Viper, despite the fact it had signed a contract with Chrysler Group to do so. The school further claimed that its car was incredibly special because it was a pre-production example and just the fourth one made back in 1992. Although, as we pointed out at the time, the photos of the school's vehicle showed a coupe that looked like a newer Viper GTS.
