1965 Chrysler 300 4-door Hardtop with the following features:
6.3L, 383 ci V8
4 barrel carb
Optional 3-speed Automatic
Engine and Trans are original to the car
Two-tone black and burgundy paint scheme
New black interior over original seats
Limo-Tinted windows
Very reliable

The car is pretty much all original. It has not been restored, but it is in very clean shape and runs well. One of the things that originally attracted me to the car was that it was pretty much stock all around, even down to the original hubcaps and rim size. It strikes quite a pose on the road and has always elicited positive comments from folks who see it.

I've taken it on multiple 300+mile day trips and have gotten 15 miles per gallon on those rides. I've also always used lead additive with full tanks. Most recently, I added new shocks and had the brakes done. (Drum) She's also had some transmission work and a few oil changes in addition to a full tune-up with new plugs, etc.

The car has about 7 small spots of rust and maybe 4 small paint chips, but other than that the body is in great shape... especially considering she's 49+ years old. She's capable of being a daily driver and I've been driving her regularly for over two years.

Overall condition, given her age and the fact that she's unrestored, is VERY good.

I purchased this car from a man who claimed to be the second owner.  According to him, it was stored in a barn in Wisconsin from 1994-2009 on blocks.  He purchased it in 2009, gave it a new paint job, restored the interior, did some other minor work on it and put it back on the road.

Buyer must handle all transportation logistics and payments but I will work with your shipper to make the process go as easy as possible.  I can hold the car following sale but will need it paid for, in full and cleared, before title is transferred and car is released.

Condition Description:

This car can be driven on a daily basis and for the age, it's in very good condition.  There is very little-to-no rust on the car except for 6-7 small spots on the body along with 3-4 paint chips.  The chrome rear bumper has some small areas of rust as well.  The inside of the trunk is missing carpet but shows NO rust areas or holes.  There is no jack or spare tire with this car.  The two rear doors need new window regulators and the rear windows need some minor adjustment but all of the glass is in perfect order.  The dashboard has one crack in it.  There is a passenger side mirror that is not original and should be removed.  The car was barn kept for 15+ years and stored properly at the time.  I've replaced shocks, had brake work done, and other minor repairs.  Otherwise, the car runs well and strong.  We've taken it on numerous 300+ mile trips over the years with no issues.  We've always used high octane fuel with lead additive.  The gas gauge is not always reliable!

The large print giveth and small print taketh away:  We reserve the right to end the auction early in line with eBay policies, as it is also for sale locally.  Notice to international buyers:  You are responsible for ALL logistics and shipping costs.  I am not prepared to do anything more than have your shipper pick up the vehicle after all payments have cleared and title has been transferred.

Jeep to stop using bad Takata airbag inflators next week

Tue, Jun 21 2016

FCA is gradually ceasing to produce vehicles equipped with Takata airbag inflaters found to be inherently faulty. These airbags, which lack a certain drying agent, have been linked with dangerous premature ruptures. According to FCA, the only vehicle still in production with the named airbag is the 2016 Jeep Wrangler, and in this case they are passenger-side airbags. Fiat Chrysler says it isn't aware of any incidents involving these air bag inflaters in Jeeps, but amidst concerns that vehicles with failure-prone airbags are still being marketed to customers, North American-market 2016 Wranglers will cease to be equipped with them starting next week. As per FCA's statement, global production is expected to end by mid-September. In addition to Toledo, Ohio, the Wrangler is produced in Egypt. FCA isn't going to sell the cars with the deemed-faulty airbags without disclosing the fact to the customers: anyone buying a 2016 Wrangler will be notified that the vehicle will most likely be subject to a recall in the future, even if there is not currently a recall announced for them. NHTSA has specified a "Coordinated Remedy Program" recall schedule for the coming years, and the airbag inflaters will degrade over a time frame of several years, when subjected to a humid environment. Shasta County woman leads police on totally groovy chase

Tue, Mar 8 2016

Would you lead police on a high-speed chase through town for a Scooby Snack? A Shasta County woman did just that over the weekend in her very own Mystery Machine. On Sunday, March 6, a Shasta County probation officer contacted the Redding, CA police department about Sharon Kay Turman who was wanted for violating probation, PIX 11 reported. After a short search, police located Turman near the intersection of California and Shasta streets at the wheel of a 1994 Chrysler minivan painted up like the Mystery Machine from Scooby Doo. Redding police attempted to stop Turman, but she apparently had an important mystery to investigate and she fled the scene. She sped down South Market Street with Redding Police in hot pursuit, running a red light and hitting four other vehicles in an intersection. This didn't stop the Mystery Machine however, and RPD broke off their chase as she entered southbound Highway 273. A California Highway Patrol helicopter picked her up on Hill Drive just north of Anderson, CA and she was pursued through town by Anderson PD at speeds in excess of 100 mph. She eventually abandoned the Mystery Machine on California Highway 36 and fled on foot. Turman's whereabouts, and the status of the Scooby Snacks, are currently unknown. She is wanted by both the Redding Police Department and Shasta County Probation. Both agencies told KRCRTV that they are asking anyone with information regarding her whereabouts to contact them. Chrysler purchases remaining shares from VEBA Trust, announces funding plan

Thu, 23 Jan 2014

It's official: The Detroit Three is now The Detroit Two and The Fiat Subsidiary, Chrysler. Both the Italian carmaker and The Pentastar announced the completion of cash payments and a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on future payments necessary to make the Chrysler Group a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fiat. As previously detailed, Chrysler made a cash payment of $1.9 billion and Fiat North America made a cash payment of $1.75 billion to the Voluntary Employment Benefit Association (VEBA) run by the United Auto Workers union.
On top of that, Chrysler Group signed an MOU that agrees to payments of $700 million to the VEBA in four installments, the first of which was made concurrently with the other cash payments. And for you trivia mavens, the full name of the UAW is the International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America. So go impress your loved ones with that nugget after you check out the press release below.
