2007 Chrysler 300c Senior Owned Since New 14000 Miles Many Extras Beautiful on 2040-cars
Novi, Michigan, United States
HERE IS A 2007 CHRYSLER 300C THAT IS ONE OF THE CLEANEST IN THE COUNTRY. I RETIRED AFTER 40 YEARS IN THE USED CAR BUSINESS IN 2010. I DECIDED I WANTED A 300C IN COOL VANILLA COLOR WITH BEIGE LEATHER A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO. THE REASON I MENTION MY HISTORY IN THE BUSINESS IS THAT WITH MY DECADES OF EXPERIENCE WITH USED CARS I KNOW A REALLY EXCEPTIONAL CAR. I WAS FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO FIND THIS ONE IN PA. IT HAD BEEN TRADED IN ON A NEW CHARGER BY THE ORIGINAL SENIOR OWNERS. IT HAD 10,000 MILES ON IT AT THE TIME. THE DEALER PROMISED ME IT WAS THE NICEST, CLEANEST 300C IN EXISTANCE AND I MADE THE LONG DRIVE TO SEE IT. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED WHEN I ARRIVED. IT LOOKED LIKE IT JUST ROLLED OUT OF THE SHOWROOM. I WENT OVER IT WITH THE PAINT METER I USED WHEN BUYING CARS FOR MY FORMER BUSINESS AND FOUND NO PAINT WORK ANYWHERE. THERE WERE NO DINGS, DENTS, SCRATCHES, OR OTHER IMPERFECTIONS ANYWHERE ON THE BODY. THE INTERIOR WAS, AND STILL IS, LIKE BRAND NEW. IT HAD NOT EVEN BEEN SHAMPOOED. IT WAS TRADED IN THAT WAY. IF YOU NOTICE THE PHOTOS OF THE CARPETING YOU WON'T SEE THE USUAL SHAMPOO LINES IN THE CARPETING. SINCE I PLANNED ON KEEPING IT FOREVER, I ADDED THE EXPENSIVE FLOORMATS MADE FOR THE CAR. I ADDED 20" CRAGER RIMS WITH GOODYEAR TIRES. THE ORIGINAL 18" CHROME RIMS AND TIRES ARE INCLUDED AND ARE ALSO LIKE NEW. I HAVE STORED THE CAR BOTH WINTERS I'VE OWNED IT. I CAN'T SAY FOR SURE BUT BY LOOKING AT THE STOCK RIMS AND UNDERCARRIAGE, I WOULD SAY IT HAS HAD LITTLE OR NO USE ON THE WINTER. I ALSO ADDED A SIMULATED WOOD TRIM KIT INSIDE. I REMOVED THE STOCK 300C EMBLEMS AND ADDED THE 300 CLASSIC METAL EMBLEMS YOU SEE IN THE PHOTOS. I ALSO ADDED THE RED AND BLUE TAPE STRIPES. IF THE EMBLEMS AND STRIPES AREN'T YOUR STYLE THEY CAN EASILY BE REMOVED WITH A HEAT GUN. I ALSO ADDED THE MUD GUARDS YOU SEE FRONT AND REAR. I'VE HAD NOTHING BUT COMPLIMENTS ON THE CAR THE FEW TIMES I'VE HAD IT OUT. WHEN I FIRST SAW THE CAR I NOTICED THE FANCY GRILLE AND WAS A LITTLE SCEPTICAL THAT AN ELDERLY OWNER WOULD CHANGE THE ORIGINAL. IT TURNS OUT THAT WHEN CERTAIN OPTIONS WERE ORDERED, REMOTE START BEING ONE, THIS GRILLE CAME ON THE CAR FROM THE FACTORY. I ALSO ADDED THE PROFESSIONALLY PAINTED BENTLEY STYLE HEADLIGHT COVERS. THEY ARE HELD ON WITH VELCRO. AGAIN, IF THEY AREN'T YOUR STYLE SHEY CAN BE EASILY REMOVED. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE LOOK. I COULD GO ON AND ON ABOUT HOW PRISTINE AND SHARP THIS CAR IS. LOOK CLOSELY AT THE PHOTOS. THE CAR IS EVERY BIT AS NICE AS IT LOOKS. THERE IS A VERY LIGHT 4" CURB RASH ON THE THIN EDGE ON ONE RIM I GOT WHEN TRYING TO PARK AS FAR AWAY FROM ANY OTHER CARS IN A PARKING LOT. VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE BUT IT'S THERE. THE REASON I'VE PUT LESS THAN 4,000 MILES ON IT IN TWO YEARS IS I AVOID PARKING LOTS, BAD WEATHER, BAD ROADS, AREAS WHERE IT COULD BE STOLEN, AND ANYWHERE ELSE I DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE TAKING IT. ANAL IS MY WIFE'S TAKE ON IT. THIS CAR IS SO VERY NICE I'VE WANTED TO KEEP IT THAT WAY. I DOUBT YOU'LL FIND ANOTHER '07 THIS NICE ANYWHERE. I CAN'T IMAGINE ANYONE BEING DISAPPOINTED WITH THE CAR. OF COURSE IT DRIVES EXACTLY AS IT LOOKS. IT'S OBVIOUSLY BEEN PAMPERED SINCE NEW. BEING SENIOR OWNED SINCE NEW I'M SURE IT HASN'T BEEN DRIVEN HARD. BOTH SETS OF TIRES WILL VERIFY THAT. EMAIL ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS. I'M SURE I'VE FORGOTTEN A DETAIL OR TWO. THE CAR WON'T BE RELEASED UNTIL THE BUYER'S CHECK CLEARS. I'LL BE GLAD TO WORK WITH YOUR SHIPPING COMPANY OF YOU NEED TO SHIP IT. PLEASE HAVE FUNDS AVAILABLE BEFORE YOU BID. THANKS FOR LOOKING. P.S. I JUST REALIZED I DIDN'T PHOTOGRAPH THE TRUNK. I'LL ADD A COUPLE OF PIC'S SHORTLY. ALSO, THERE MAY BE A FEW MORE MILES ON THE CAR BECAUSE I'M THINKING OF TAKING IT OUT OVER THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND. IT WON'T BE MORE THAN 200 ADDITIONAL MILES. I MAY OR MAY NOT TAKE IT OUT.

Chrysler honors Arsenal of Democracy's 75th anniversary
Tue, Dec 29 2015The Allied victory in World War II wouldn't have been possible without the Arsenal of Democracy. This phrase, originally coined by President Franklin D. Roosevelt 75 years ago today, described the war-time transformation of US manufacturing, especially the auto industry, to produce tanks and planes instead of cars and trucks. One of the earliest purpose-built facilities was the Albert Kahn-designed Detroit Arsenal, located in suburban Warren, MI, literally across the street from the future site of the General Motors Technical Center. Built by Uncle Sam, the plant churned out M3 Grant and M4 Sherman tanks with frightening speed, but it wouldn't have been possible without Chrysler. The company (which is ironically now allied to a former supplier of Nazi Germany and fascist Italy) operated the plant and applied automotive mass-production techniques to producing the government-designed tanks. The plant was so successful, according to Fiat Chrysler historian Brandt Rosenbusch, that it singlehandedly outpaced the entire Third Reich's tank production by 5,000 units over the course of the war. The Detroit Arsenal was also responsible for a quarter of all American tank production during the war. And like so many wartime factories, women formed a large percentage of the workforce, as men were drafted out of assembly work and into the armed forces. Chrysler has commemorated the 75th anniversary of the Arsenal of Democracy speech with a video on the Detroit Arsenal and its role there. And as for the site today? It built tanks up until 1997, and still serves as the home of the US Army's TACOM (Tank-automotive and Armaments Command) Life Cycle Management Command, a major site for tank research and development. Is Chrysler's 'America's Import' campaign outdated or offensive? [w/poll]
Tue, 04 Nov 2014Chrysler launched its America's Import campaign with a splashy ad during the Super Bowl starring Bob Dylan and featuring a whole bunch of patriotic imagery that included Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, factory employees and, of course, the city of Detroit. Since then, the brand has followed the original spot with even more ads using the same tagline. Not everyone is pleased, it seems, including The Detroit Free Press auto critic Mark Phelan, who's fed up with the marketing. In an editorial for the newspaper, Phelan claims that it's insulting to the US auto industry and its workers.
"The phrase 'America's import,' with its suggestion that 'import' equals 'better,' feels terribly dated, a relic of the 1980s. It's the rhetorical equivalent of hanging a pastel-hued 'Miami Vice' poster on your office wall," writes Phelan in the piece. Also, since some of the brand's cars are made in Canada, the line isn't even entirely true, he claims. Phelan goes on to praise the company's earlier Imported from Detroit commercials for getting the right message across and showing pride in the city.
While "America's Import" might be the tagline for Chrysler's ads, it's not the whole message. Subsequent ads keep the hard-working, patriotic imagery from the original Super Bowl spot but put a bigger emphasis on the Chrysler 200 that the commercials are meant to sell.
Chrysler Q3 profits surge to $611M but per-unit profits trouble
Thu, 06 Nov 2014Chrysler Group has announced its third-quarter financial results a little later than its crosstown rivals at General Motors and Ford, but the company has reason to celebrate thanks to strong numbers across the board.
The biggest attention-grabber from the automaker is that its net income was up 32 percent in the third quarter to $611 million, compared to $464 million over the same period last year. Modified operating profit was also strong at $946 million - a 10 percent gain. Furthermore, net revenue grew as well to $20.7 billion - 18 percent higher Q3 2013.
Growing sales pushed the strong financials. Chrysler Group sold about 711,000 vehicles worldwide for the quarter, up 18 percent from a year ago. Things looked especially good in the US, where its market share grew to 12.3 percent, versus 11.2 percent in Q3 2013.
