2006 Chrysler 300 on 2040-cars
Chesterfield, South Carolina, United States
I am selling my 2006 Chrysler 300 w/ Bentley package! This car runs and drives GREAT! My dad gave me this car because he got a town car. I would like to sell this car because I want a truck. This car has about $3, 000.00 worth of upgrades and accessories. KBB value is $7, 607.00. Like I said, this car runs and drives great. My dad drove this car all summer long back and forth from Chesterfield, sc to Myrtle Beach, sc every week; the drive was 2 and a half hours both ways. He has put about 10, 000 miles on the car since he bought it. He had absolutely no problems with the car. It is still in good condition and very clean on the inside. A/C blows very cold, has great sound system with 6 cd changer, mp3 & wma hookup, power EVERYTHING! The car has Michelin p245/50 r20 matching tires that still have a lot of life left! Steering is tight.
When my dad bought the car it needed a water pump. When the water pump was replaced, the timing chain was also replaced. The car also got a complete tune up at the time, and has had oil changes as necessary. The car was also taken to the shop to have the front end alligned and at that time the tires were also balanced and 2 tie rod ends were replaced.
As with any car with 220, 000 miles, it is not perfect. The pictures do not lie and were taken just before this listing was posted on 8-25-14. It is very clean and not beat up. There are some cosmetic scratches on the exterior, as you can see in the photos. Sometimes the motor makes a noise and soon after the check engine light will come on, but the mechanic has turned the check engine light off and it has not come back on. In general, the car is in good condition. My dad said he would drive it anywhere.
WE HAVE TRIED TO BE AS HONEST AS POSSIBLE ABOUT THE GOOD AND BAD! WHEN YOU ARRIVE TO GET THIS CAR WE WILL TAKE YOU FOR A RIDE WITH COLD AIR BLOWING IN YOUR FACE, WITH THE RADIO UP AND SHOW YOU THAT ALL POWER OPTIONS (WINDOWS, DOORS, SEATS, CRUISE, REMOTE KEY FOB) EVERYTHING WORKS! THIS CAR IS NO JUNK. Please dont bid without calling my dad with any questions or concerns. Do not bid if you have any doubts! This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION! EVERY BID IS A WINNER! The car is located in Chesterfield, sc and I reserve the right to end the auction early to sell locally. The title is clear and in my name. CALL LYNN AT 843-910-4845 |

Ford F-150 bumps Camry from top of Cars.com American Made Index
Tue, 25 Jun 2013With July 4th just around the corner, what better time could there be for Cars.com to announce that the Ford F-150 is the Most American car of 2013? This may be especially true since it was the Toyota Camry, a car produced by a company based in Japan, that had held the top spot from 2009 to 2012.
Cars.com compiles its Most American list by considering the amount of parts each vehicle uses that come from America, where it's final assembly takes place and how many units per year are sold. "While the assembly point and domestic parts content of the F-150 didn't change from 2012-2013, vehicle sales are responsible for bumping the F-150 to the top spot," according to Patrick Olsen, Editor-in-Chief of Cars.com.
As far as automakers go (as opposed to individual models), Toyota retains the top spot it held in 2012, with General Motors, Chrysler, Ford and Honda (in that order) rounding out the list. The motivation behind this list each year, according to Olsen, is "to help car shoppers understand that 'American-Made' extends beyond just the Detroit three" and because "a study we conducted in 2012 indicated that 25 percent of shoppers surveyed preferred to buy American."
Marchionne: Midsize pickup still not in the cards; Ram 1500, Jeep Wrangler could use aluminum
Wed, 07 May 2014During the Fiat-Chrysler briefings on Tuesday, Reid Bigland, head of Ram Trucks, outlined the new product plans for his brand, including confirmation that an all-new light-duty Ram 1500 will launch in 2017. From there, discussions spun off in two directions, with the main questions being: will Ram build a midsize pickup? And, following Ford's move to extensively use aluminum in its new 2015 F-150, will Chrysler be using this weight-saving material for the next round of its fullsize truck, as well?
"I think there is room for a Ram 1000," Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne (pictured above) told members of the media, saying this is a conversation the automaker has been having internally for several years now. "We've tried this ... we've actually taken it to clinics," Marchionne stated, adding that the "response has been lukewarm."

Ferrari stock sale pegged for October, or later
Sat, Jun 6 2015The Ferrari IPO is still coming, but it won't be before Columbus Day (Monday, October 12, that is), according to Fiat Chrysler Automobiles CEO Sergio Marchionne. The outspoken exec is blaming tax reasons for the fourth-quarter date, according to a report from Reuters. Marchionne said a full year needed to pass between FCA's October 13, 2014 Wall Street debut and any additional listing. This isn't the first delay in the Ferrari IPO. FCA was originally supposed to make a 10-percent offering of Ferrari during second or third quarter of 2015, before officially pushing things back to the third quarter of this year. Now, it's unclear if Ferrari will even go public before the dawn of 2016.
