1979 Chrysler 300 9,8xx Miles Window Sticker Still On Window on 2040-cars

I'm the original owner of this 1979 Chrysler 300. It has 9,8xx miles and still has the original window
sticker stuck to the window. Have all original paperwork from when I
bought it (broadcast sheet, title, inspections etc). It has the original drivetrain in it and runs and drives fine. Always wins trophys when we take it to shows. The interior is in good
shape overall. Some of the door panels and trim pieces have faded,
which is very common on these cars(I have two more). But this has not gone more than around the block or on and off the trailer at car shows. So this wouldn't be a car to buy, fly in and drive it home. I would definitely trailer it as it has most of the original fluids and the original tires.
Has a ding here and there and a nickel sized surface rust spot as shown in the pictures by the rear window. Front end was repainted in the early 2000's. The undercarriage has some surface rust, but has no soft spots or holes anywhere on the car. One of the front tires has a cut on the side, but could probably be switched with the spare tire. Some pitting on chrome in spots. Has new exhaust on it and an aftermarket stereo head unit. Other than that, it's original. Car must be picked up and fully paid for within 14 days after the end of auction, unless otherwise discussed. Car will be paid in full before it leaves my possession. Fiat-Chrysler CEO: Please Don't Buy The Fiat 500e
Wed, May 21 2014Fiat-Chrysler's CEO had a strange request for electric vehicle shoppers on Wednesday: don't buy the all-electric Fiat 500e. While CEO Sergio Marchionne was speaking at a conference in Washington, he told the crowd he's tired of Chrysler-Fiat losing money, The Detroit News reported. "I hope you don't buy it [the 500e] because every time I sell one it costs me $14,000," he said to the audience at the Brookings Institution. "I'm honest enough to tell you that." Marchionne said federal and state fuel efficiency mandates are forcing the automaker to build unprofitable cars, according to Reuters. A normal Fiat 500 starts at $16,195, and the 500e starts at $32,650, before federal and state tax credits. There are no sales data to indicate how the 500e is performing. Detroit automakers gain market share simultaneously for first time in 20 years
Wed, 01 May 2013While monthly sales figures might be an easy way of tracking the progression of the auto industry and individual automakers, looking at market share might be more indicative of how each company is actually standing up against its competitors. For the Detroit Three automakers, they have collectively lost almost 30 percent of the market over the last 20 years, but now, for the first time since 1993, Ford, General Motors and Chrysler have each posted market share gains at the same time.
According to Automotive News, Ford's share increased the most by 0.7 percent, GM was up 0.5 percent and Chrysler rose marginally by 0.2 percent, giving the Detroit automakers a total market share of 45.6 percent. As for the Japan's Big Three, the article reports that Toyota is up by 0.7 percent, Nissan is down the same amount and Honda has seen "little change."
Chrysler patents smarter minivan folding seats
Thu, 02 Jan 2014It's frightening to think of how quickly the mice would have overtaken us if we hadn't stayed one step ahead of them with better mousetraps. We'll never have to worry about that in our relentlessly re-engineered world, though. Case in point: Chrysler has been granted a patent by the US Patent and Trademark Office for an improved design of the already wondrous Stow 'n' Go seating found in the automaker's Town and Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans.
Introduced in 2005, the Stow 'n' Go was improved in 2008, and based on the drawings of this third-generation improvement, the new design appears to allow stowage of the second row of seats without having to move the front-row seats forward as much. It look like it also involves fewer operations and moving parts, with a portion of the seatback being incorporated into the flat floor when the seats are stowed, as opposed to having a completely separate cover.
It's possible that the innovation may appear on the next-generation minivans expected in 2015, but Chrysler isn't commenting on the patent.
