This car is equipped with a 383 4 barrel, runs great, but will probably need a fuel pump in the near future. It has power brakes and power steering. The glass is all in great shape and the headliner is really nice. Door panels and dash pad are in excellent shape. The seats do have some rips and it will need new carpet. There is a rust hole on the passenger side floor board which I took a photo of, but that can be patched pretty easily. The rest of the undercarriage looks to be structurally sound. The body does have some rust, but is a good candidate for restoration and is pretty solid. The stainless is in beautiful condition. The bumpers are not show quality, but can be cleaned up and be presentable for a driver car. The grill is in nice shape, factory headlight covers are in great shape. When I got the car it actually did have a brake pedal and did work, but has a slow leak somewhere (upon purchase car would have to be trailered or towed due to lack of brakes). I purchased a brand new master cylinder, wheel cylinders for all 4 corners, and two rubber brake hoses (all pictured), so it just needs a little elbow grease to get the brakes up to par. The previous owner was driving this car over the summer. I purchased this car 3 weeks ago with plans of doing an on-frame restoration when a local car that I had been trying to purchase for some time now became available. I now don't have the room or time to put into this vehicle. I'm starting this auction at much less than I paid for the car, mostly due to the fact that the brakes were working when I purchased and now they're not. This is a 2-door hard top and is a fairly rare car. I'm selling this at a very fair price and will not take less than my starting bid. Please bid on this car if you want to purchase it. Feel free to contact me with any questions and I will answer as soon as possible with the best of my knowledge. The car will have to be picked up as soon as possible after purchase. It is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to take it off Ebay if it sells. I am not interested in any trades. This car has a lot of potential and with some work could be an absolutely beautiful car. |

Marchionne urges industry consolidation, again
Fri, May 29 2015Sergio Marchionne isn't just an instigator of mergers – he's also a staunch advocate for their need in the industry. And he seems convinced another big one will happen in the next few years. "I am absolutely certain that before 2018 there will be a merger," said Marchionne. "It's my personal opinion, based on a gut feeling." Though the terms "absolutely certain" and "gut feeling" would seem to convey vastly different degrees of certainty, his chief's statement would seem to suggest some inside knowledge of an impending deal. Marchionne, of course, brokered the consolidation of the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles empire over which he now presides, and has been actively seeking another merger to help reduce redundancy and overhead between major automakers in the industry. With which automaker he might be seeking such a merger, however, remains a big question. He was recently reported to have approached Mary Barra regarding a potential merger with General Motors, but was said to have been rebuffed. The Italian-Canadian executive may not be alone in his advocacy for industry consolidation, though. Opel chief Karl-Thomas Neumann said that "In principle, Marchionne is right – the auto industry develops the same things ten times over." Bringing major automakers together would ostensibly reduce that redundancy. Marchionne had been linked to a potential takeover of Opel when GM was shedding brands post-bankruptcy, but in the end the Detroit giant opted to keep its European division in-house.
Are you the 2015 Chrysler 300?
Tue, 16 Sep 2014When Chrysler showed us its hand and revealed its five-year product plan to the world, we learned that the updated 300 sedan will bow at the LA Auto Show in November. Now, thanks to Allpar, we might have our first (super grainy) look at the new sedan a full two months ahead of its official debut.
Unlike its Dodge Charger platform mate, the new 300 isn't really all that different from the model currently on sale. That said, we're not sure if the changes shown here really reflect styling that we'd call "better," with the company's logo sort of floating at the top of the grille, and a more simplistic front end that lets the schnoz stick out a bit. Again, nothing drastic to talk about, but the new tweaks are kind of weak. Of course, we'll wait until we see the finished product in the metal before we make up our minds.
Don't expect things to change too much in terms of interior refinement or powertrain offerings, as well, with all the same leather and technology we've enjoyed in the 300 before, and the usual 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 and 5.7-liter Hemi V8 powertrain options. We'll know for sure when the car shows its freshened face in Los Angeles in November.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles: The next five years
Tue, 06 May 2014Unless you've been living under a rock for the past 24 hours, you've no doubt read about all of the big future product news coming out of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles today. We had individual brand reports from Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Maserati and even Ferrari, but in the interest of simplifying and summarizing, we're going to list out the hard facts once more. Of course, with all of this still off in the future, there's still the possibility that a few changes will be made. But as of what we know right now, here's what's coming, and what's going away.
