1937 Chrysler Royal 4 Door Sedan Project Car on 2040-cars
Dowagiac, Michigan, United States
I have a 1937 Chrysler Royal for sale. It is a 4 door sedan with Suicide doors. I have been going to car show for 25 years and seen the 1936 and 1938 but not this year. The car is all steel with a solid body. The trunk pan was bad so I replaced that. The car is about 60% complete. It has a Chevy 350 with a 350 Transmission. The gauges are new so it shows zero miles. Don't know how many miles are on the motor. The rear end is Camaro and the front end is Mustang 2 with a new rack. I have both seats for the car and they are a grey suede type of material. I have the old headliner and door panels to be used as a pattern for new ones. I have most if not all the parts as far as trim and stainless. The car was apart when I bought it. The previous owner had done the rear end and front end but all of the parts were in boxes and inside the car and I haven't gone through all of the parts. It has new disc brakes on the front and drum brakes on the rear. The car has been sitting for about 10 years since I put in the motor and tranny. The front seal leaks on the tranny and I think it has a stuck valve from sitting. The body is excellent and would make a very nice street rod. The gas tank, TPI gauges and EZ wiring harness are all new. The gauges and motor are wired. The glass is all good in the car except for one back quarter window. I don't have the title for the car. I bought this car to make a street rod for my grandson but I now have a bad heart and can't complete the car. This would make a great and rare street rod for someone. If you have any questions call Jim at 269 350 7879. Car sold AS IS with no returns. Buyer will pay for shipping. |

Alfa Romeo to launch eight new products by 2018, increase sales to 400K units

Alfa Romeo will go back to being the brand people admire, according to CEO Harald Wester.

Fiat Chrysler target 850k sales in China by 2018
Sun, 11 May 2014Behind the vanguard of numerous Jeep models, two Chryslers, a smattering of Fiats and Alfa Romeos and local production through a joint venture with Guangzhou Automotive Group (GAG), Fiat Chrysler wants to increase sales in China more than six-fold by 2018. The group sold 130,000 cars in China in 2013, the aim for 2018 being 850,000 cars.
Ultimately it's expected that the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Cherokee, Wrangler, Renegade, the coming Grand Wagoneer and a sub-Renegade-sized crossover will either be built in or exported to the People's Republic. The Chrysler Town & Country and 300 will join the export list in 2016 and 2018 respectively, according to a report in Automotive News.
With a number of those vehicles not in production or perhaps even envisaged yet, and others not due on the local market until 2018, it will be interesting to see how Fiat Chrysler plans to achieve the target in the specified timeframe. The joint venture with GAG builds two products now, the Dodge Dart-based Fiat Viaggio launched two years ago - supposedly designed just for China - and the just-launched Fiat Ottimo, a hatchback version of the Viaggio. Fiat projected 300,000 Viagio sales in its first two years, that number has been adjusted downward to 94,000 and there doesn't appear to be an analyst alive that sees a good future for Fiat in China's overrun mainstream market. Still, last year's 130,000 group sales in China is a huge jump from 2012 sales of 66,000 units, but less than half the 300,000 units it projected.
Recharge Wrap-up: Fiat 500X EV spotted? Senators request biodiesel increase
Thu, Feb 12 2015A group of 32 senators is asking the EPA to approve increased biodiesel volumes in the Renewable Fuel Standard. Delays in approving the RFS for 2014 forward is causing problems for the fuel produces affected by the law. "EPA's delays are endangering our industry," says Imperium Renewables CEO John Plaza. "Biofuel facilities around the nation are sitting idle, workers are being laid off, and some producers have been forced out of business entirely." Producers feel the EPA is underestimating domestic biodiesel production, and are concerned about importing fuel from Argentina. Read more in the press release below. Fiat Chrysler will help Israel develop a natural gas vehicle. The automaker, along with Iveco and Magneti Marelli, signed a memorandum of understanding with Israel's Prime Minister's Office as part of the Israel Fuel Choices Initiative. They are also considering extended research and development relationship with Israeli companies for alternative fuels and smart mobility. Israel seeks to become a hub for alternative fuel technology. The photos, sent by a reader to Green Car Reports, show a camouflaged Fiat 500X that appears to lack a tailpipe, suggesting it could be an EV. It was photographed on its way to Chrysler's SRT Engineering Center, which builds specialized, low-volume vehicles. The gas-powered 500X debuted in North America at the Los Angeles Auto Show last fall, so camouflage seems a bit unusual at this point if it's just a standard powertrain. It's possible the car could be sold mainly in California to comply with the state's zero-emissions requirements for automakers. The senators expressed concern about the agency's delays in implementing the RFS standards for 2014, 2015 and 2016, noting that the delays have created tremendous uncertainty for the U.S.
