I have a 1937 Chrysler Royal for sale.  It is a 4 door sedan with Suicide doors.  I have been going to car show for 25 years and seen the 1936 and 1938 but not this year.  The car is all steel with a solid body.  The trunk pan was bad so I replaced that.  The car is about 60% complete.  It has a Chevy 350 with a 350 Transmission. The gauges are new so it shows zero miles.  Don't know how many miles are on the motor.  The rear end is Camaro and the front end is Mustang 2 with a new rack.  I have both seats for the car and they are a grey suede type of material.  I have the old headliner and door panels to be used as a pattern for new ones.   I have most if not all the parts as far as trim and stainless.  The car was apart when I bought it.  The previous owner had done the rear end and front end but all of the parts were in boxes and inside the car and I haven't gone through all of the parts.  It has new disc brakes on the front and drum brakes on the rear. The car has been sitting for about 10 years since I put in the motor and tranny.  The front seal leaks on the tranny and I think it has a stuck valve from sitting.  The body is excellent and would make a very nice street rod.  The gas tank, TPI gauges and EZ wiring harness are all new.  The gauges and motor are wired. The glass is all good in the car except for one back quarter window.  I don't have the title for the car. I bought this car to make a street rod for my grandson but I now have a bad heart and can't complete the car.  This would make a great and rare street rod for someone.  If you have any questions call Jim at 269 350 7879.  Car sold AS IS with no returns.  Buyer will pay for shipping.

Chrysler releases Born Maker ad campaign for 2015 200 [w/video]

Fri, 06 Jun 2014

"The 200 sets the benchmark, for us, on how we plan to develop cars going forward." - Marissa Hunter
Is the 2015 Chrysler 200 the most important new product for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles? While it is certainly debatable, we'd be strongly inclined to say "yes." As the first competent midsize sedan that Chrysler has released in the better part of two decades, the new 200 is absolutely crucial to achieving the brand's goal of becoming FCA's "mainstream" manufacturer.

Ford and Chrysler reducing summer plant shutdowns

Wed, 22 May 2013

Most domestic automaker assembly plants traditionally take a couple of weeks off during the summer. The shutdowns give each plant time for much needed repairs and maintenance, and in some cases, help better align production with demand. Not this year, though, as demand for many models is outstripping what Ford, Chrysler and General Motors plants can produce.
Ford has announced that it will shorten its annual summer shutdown for most North American plants from two weeks to one. The shorter shutdown will increase the carmaker's annual North American production by 40,000 units on top of the 200,000 extra units that it was already planning to produce this year versus last. Automotive News reports that Ford produced 2.8 million vehicles on this continent in 2012, and that output this year has already increased 13 percent through April.
Chrysler, meanwhile, is also operating at full tilt and plans to run some plants through the summer with no shutdown at all. Those not getting a break include Jefferson North where the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango are assembled, Toledo North that will assemble the new Cherokee, and Conner Avenue, home of SRT Viper production. Other assembly plants will be down for a single week, while all of Chrysler's engine and transmission plants except one in Indiana will continue operating with no shutdown this summer.

Chrysler banks $507 million in Q2, trims 2013 earnings forecast

Tue, 30 Jul 2013

Chrysler has some good news and some bad news. First, profits were up 16 percent over the second quarter of 2012, bringing the Auburn Hills, Michigan-based manufacturer $507 million on the back of strong demand for trucks and SUVs (a recurring theme this quarter, particularly in the US). Q2 revenue was up as well, from $16.8 billion in 2012 to $18 billion in 2013. The bad news is that the Pentastar's overall earnings forecast for net income in 2013 has been trimmed from $2.2 billion to between $1.7 and $2.2 billion, according to Automotive News.
In addition to the adjusted net income forecast, Chrysler tweaked its operating profit from $3.8 billion to between $3.3 and $3.8 billion. This has gone largely unexplained by Chrysler, perhaps hoping the news of a three-percent increase in its transaction prices for Q2 will allow it to sweep this adjustment under the rug.
The star of the show for Chrysler has been its US sales, which saw a 10-percent jump, both bettering the industry average of eight percent and improving over the same stretch of 2012. As with the increase in transaction prices, Chrysler has the new Ram pickup and Jeep Grand Cherokee to thank. Perhaps most worrying from this report, though, is that every brand in the automaker's stable saw an increase in sales... except for the Chrysler brand itself.
