2008 Chevrolet Uplander LT. My wife just picked up a GMC Acadia and says she is done with the Minivan/Soccer mom role.It has a good size dent in the rear lift gate. I did get an appraisal on getting it fixed for $600. It is about the same price to grab a used door from a junkyard. My wife came out of a store and it looked like someone backed into the van, no note or anything. There is also two small dents in the front of the hood, they were there when we purchased it. Also, sometimes and not all the time, the engine light comes on with the ABS light and traction control when you first start it up. Other times it starts up and the dash board lights are clear? I don't understand that but anyway, She has been driving it everyday with out any problems. The interior is in decent shape, there are some stains on the seats that can be shampooed out, you can see them in the pics. I was going to have all these issues addressed before listing so I could maximize profit. I decided to list it a lot lower and maybe save myself some time and taking much less. The transmission has been rebuilt last October 2013 (with 107,000 miles) and has a 3yr/50,000 mile Warranty, 100% Parts & Labor. Also has brand new Front tires and decent rear tires.  As with any vehicle listed online It is best to come see it for yourself if possible. This van has been good to our family of four. We purchased it off a family in Bolton Massachusetts back in October 2011. It has been kept inside the garage when it is home. The automatic sliding doors sometimes have trouble closing on their own, I took out the fuse and use them manually like back in the old days :-) , I am sure it can be fixed as well. If you have any questions at all or would like some pictures of different angles, please let me know. Thanks!!

Take a close look at the guts of the Chevy Volt battery, powertrain

Sat, Aug 9 2014

Just how intimate would you like to get with the powertrain in a Chevy Volt? If you're anything like YouTube user d55guy, then spending a half hour filming yourself taking apart the battery pack, motor, inverter and more for a look inside sounds like your idea of fun. After all, this way you get to see the cooling system, the heavy safety kill switch and count up the individual cells in the battery modules. Fun! Turns out, we also enjoy languidly paced Volt dissection video goodness, and we think you might want to see it as well. So, we've embedded two videos below and if you don't have a better understanding of how the Volt is put together after watching them, well, at least you can't say we never tried to show you anything. Given that what's really happening here is the organized 'destruction' of an expensive and potentially dangerous object, let's talk safety. There's a serious disclaimer at the beginning of the videos and on the YouTube description page, but we feel the need to repeat the gist of it here: do not try this at home. The creator of the video says he is a trained engineer and has been doing things like this "for the better part of a decade," so he apparently knows what he's doing. With that in mind, watch it all below. When you're done seeing the insides of a Volt powertrain up close, if you need more filmed EV dissection/destruction, check out this video designed for first responders approaching a damaged Tesla Model S. Chevy gets cracking on Cruze EV fleet testing

Chevrolet Cruze EV - Click above for high-res image gallery
The Chevrolet Volt hasn't yet gone on sale, but General Motors is looking at ways of expanding its electric vehicle lineup. Chevy, along with partner LG, is employing a group of all-electric cars in the form of the Cruze. The sedans are part of a demonstration fleet which is located in Seoul, South Korea and is being used to provide data in an electric vehicle research project. The goal is to gather information on driving patterns and charging behavior in addition to consumer acceptance.
The Cruze EVs, along with some Daewoo Lacetti Premieres EVs, are the first fleet of full-size electric vehicles and should provide invaluable information for The General. Staying full-size means not sacrificing cargo space, so the battery pack is mounted to the underbody, leaving the trunk area open for plenty recyclable, canvas grocery bags.
