Up for sale is my 2007 Chevy Trailblazer SS 2WD (1SS), Vehicle has sliding sunroof, cloth seats and 53000 miles. I have performed numerous upgrades to the truck which are as follows:

The Good:

Engine: GM LS2, PCMOFNC Attitude cam with PRC .650 springs and 7.4 inch hardened pushrods all installed less than 3000 miles ago. Pacesetter headers, Lingenfelter 160 T-stat, PCMOFNC LS1 electric fan conversion. PCMOFNC 4 inch fender well intake with LS7 MAF, DEI sparkplug boot protectors, red Jettstream silicon radiator hoses, PCMOFNC windshield wash relocation kit and tuned by Alvin at PCMOFNC with HP tuners software, custom x pipe into 2 18 inch summit racing glasspack style mufflers which are then dumped under truck by rear doors. Truck has NO CATS and they have been tuned out.

Transmission: Custom built by Finshline transmissions (FLT level 5), Yank SSTB3600 stall and PCMOFNC brake duct transmission cooler. All have less than 5000 miles

Suspension: Front: DJM upper control arms modified by NorcalSS (Tony), Scotts lowering collars and Blox swaybar endlinks. Front fenders have been notched to clear arms and there is no rubbing. Rear: Airbag delete with Tahoe 5 inch drop springs and Spohn panhard bar, blox swaybar endlinks.

Interior: Aeroforce scan gauge with wideband add-on, Kenwood head unit and Kenwood speakers (all 6 have been upgraded)

Brakes: New pads approximately 8000 miles ago, painted calipers.

Wheels: Brand new Factory Reproduction TBSS replacement wheels Front 20x8 274/40/20 Rear 20x10 315/35/20 with sticky Falken FK453's. Tires and wheels have less than 500 miles.

Exterior: Red SS badges and Billet Bowtie

Paint is in need of a compounding and buffing, a small ding on the passenger side rear door, this dent is pretty small and not noticeable

Needs a new fuel sending unit. I have not have time to fix it and is a really cheap fix. A few hours and about $115 http://www.trailblazerss.com/forums/topic/18199-fuel-gauge-went-nuts/). Doesn't affect the way it drives just more of an annoyance because you have to keep track of fuel instead of have a correctly reading gauge.

New wheels DO NOT have tire pressure monitors (TPS) so the idiot light will stay on. Again it does not affect the performance of the truck, just more of an annoyance.

When I installed the new cam I had to evacuate the AC system. I have not refilled, AC does work but without refrigerant it does not blow cold (cheap to do yourself).

This truck is pretty damn fast and can break its' rear tires loose up until about 40 mph. If you can get it to hook it will be a mid to high 12 second truck in the 1/4 miles. I really love it because it confuses people who think the "RUMP RUMP RUMP" sound shouldn't be coming from a SUV. It is really, really loud at WOT but can cruise all day at 80 miles per hour. If you want a fast "family" car this is the one for you. I am selling because I hardly drive it anymore and I can't justify having it.  The truck is AS IS with NO Warranty.

GM will stop reporting monthly U.S. vehicle sales

Tue, Apr 3 2018

DETROIT — General Motors said on Tuesday it will stop reporting monthly U.S. vehicle sales, saying the 30-day snapshot does not accurately reflect the market, and will instead issue quarterly sales. GM will also no longer report monthly sales in China, its largest market, and Brazil. GM will provide monthly data to the U.S. Federal Reserve, industry associations and government agencies across the globe, but that data is not made public. Analysts and investors rely on monthly U.S. vehicle sales not just to track the performance of individual automakers, but as a barometer of the health of the world's second-largest auto market and as an indicator of consumer confidence in the U.S. economy overall. GM and its Detroit rivals Ford and Fiat Chrysler have relied heavily on sales of high-margin pickup truck and SUV sales to boost profits. GM's total U.S. sales, its second-largest market, are down 3.2 percent for the first two months of 2018, reflecting a 6.8 percent drop in retail sales to individual customers, the company reported last month. GM executives have expressed frustration that comparisons of monthly U.S. sales results among rival automakers are distorted by short-term discount programs, and by differences in strategy for selling vehicles in bulk to rental car fleets. "Thirty days is not enough time to separate real sales trends from short-term fluctuations in a very dynamic, highly competitive market," Kurt McNeil, U.S. vice president for sales operations said in a statement. GM's actions could prompt other automakers to also switch to quarterly U.S. sales reports. Major automakers will report March U.S. new vehicle sales on Tuesday. Until the early 1990s, most U.S. automakers released sales results every 10 days. The former Chrysler Corp. stopped reporting sales on a 10-day basis in 1990, and rivals followed suit over the next three years. GM executives are betting that investors will quickly adapt to receiving U.S. sales data every three months, as investors in other retail sectors already have. Retailers such as Walmart report sales on a quarterly basis. Reporting by Joe WhiteRelated Video: Image Credit: Reuters Earnings/Financials Green Buick Cadillac Chevrolet GM GMC US

2023 Grand National Roadster Show Mega Photo Gallery | Hot rod heaven

Wed, Feb 8 2023

POMONA, Calif. — From an outsider's perspective, it would be easy to assume that the Grand National Roadster Show has always been a Southern California institution. After all, it celebrates the diverse postwar car culture of the region — hot rods, lead sleds, lowriders, and more. However, the show had its roots in NorCal in 1950 when Al Slonaker and his hot rod club showed their custom cars at the Oakland Expo. The GNRS moved to Pomona, California, in 2004. By then it had grown exponentially and seen about a dozen more car customization trends come and go. However, the show and its centerpiece award, the America's Most Beautiful Roadster prize, celebrate what is perhaps the first of those trends: the American hot rod in its purest form. Today, in its 73rd year, the GNRS is the oldest indoor car show in America. Annually it welcomes 500-800 cars, gathered into special themes like Tri-Five Chevys or Volkswagen Bugs. At this year's show, which was last weekend, a special hall was dedicated to pickup trucks built between 1948-98, including mini-trucks, groovy camper bed conversions, and resto-mods.  However, of all the vehicles presented, only nine are eligible for the America's Most Beautiful Roadster award. Winners get their names engraved on a 9-foot-tall perpetual trophy that was, according to The Ultimate Hot Rod Dictionary, the largest in the world when it debuted in 1950. Slonaker chose the word "roadster" initially because "hot rod" bore slightly negative outlaw connotations in 1950. Only American cars built before 1937 of certain body styles — roadsters, roadster pickups, phaetons, touring cars — are eligible, and they cannot have roll-down side windows.  Cars in the running for the cup cannot have been shown anywhere else before their debut at the GNRS.  Contestants for this accolade essentially build their cars to the a platonic ideal of a hot rod. This year the honors went to Jack Chisenhall of San Antonio, Texas, for his "Champ Deuce," a 1932 Ford Roadster. It's exactly what you picture when you think of a hot rod, but distilled to its absolute essence.  Other standouts included "Green Eyes," a two-tone green 1959 Chevy El Camino  with a heavily metal-flaked bed, "Blue Monday," a 1964 Buick Riviera lowrider, and a personal favorite, "Purple Reign," a purple and black 1951 Mercury. Cars may have started out as tools, but there aren't shows like this filled with custom refrigerators.
