1999 Chevy Tracker for Sale. This has been a very reliable vehicle for my family, but we are expanding and need more seats. The 4 Wheel Drive has come in very handy, especially during the winter weather (snow, ice, etc).

I change the oil with synthetic high mileage oil every 3,000 - 4,000 miles. This year I put in a new transmission and wiper blades. Since I purchased the vehicle in 2012, I did upgrade the battery to a CENTENNIAL AGM BATTERY, which will last a very long time and give plenty of power.

The car runs well and there is nothing in the engine department in need of immediate attention. The only legitimate concern I believe would be the horn not working properly. I'm positive it's an electrical issue and I never got around to fixing it. Additionally there are some minor wear signs from owning it and some even from before I bought it. For example, the CD player never worked. The radio, however, does work. There's a hole in the rug on the driver's side, but it gets covered with the included rug mats. Also, power locks work for all doors except for driver door. For some reason that door needs be locked manually. Also, key will not work on passenger door form the outside and I have no idea why. I open the driver door and use the power locks to unlock the passenger door for my wife.

Overall, it's a very clean vehicle and easy to drive. The high mileage isn't a problem because of how well the engine has been maintained throughout the years.

I am not the original owner of the vehicle. I purchased it from a car dealer in Grants Pass, Oregon in February of 2012. It was listed at $3,500 when I purchased it and now I am offering it for less. I accept PayPal as my primary form of payment, but I do accept cash and checks. I would very much appreciate if my buyer was local as I have no experience shipping a vehicle. It would be less expensive for everyone if the buyer could pick up the car.

Chevrolet Captiva looks mildly refreshed and ready for family duty

Tue, 05 Mar 2013

We showed you Chevrolet's major debut yesterday, the 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible, but General Motors is making a big push for Bowtie consideration in Europe, so it's also introducing the updated Captiva crossover here at the Geneva Motor Show.
While still based on the same platform as North America's fleet-only Captiva Sport (which is effectively a rebadged Saturn Vue), the Captiva is available in both five- and seven-seat iterations, and it looks far more modern. That's particularly the case with this updated model, which features revamped front- and rear ends that include restyled bumpers, grilles and LED taillamps, among other changes.
As before, the midsize Theta-platform CUV will be available in both front- and all-wheel drive, and is expected to carry a range of four- and six-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines. Important US programming note: Chevrolet sources tell us that America's Captiva Sport will not receive these updates.

New Bright creating exclusive 1:8 scale radio-controlled C7 Corvette

Mon, 04 Feb 2013

If you want a new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette but can't quite save up enough pennies for the monthly payment, we have good news for you. Toymaker New Bright has pulled the covers off of its 1:8 scale remote-controlled version of the American sports car. Complete with a very detailed interior and LED headlights, this large-scale R/C is as close as most of us will ever come to having one of the menacing Chevrolet models to call our very own. New Bright still hasn't released pricing or availability, but word has it the coupe should hit the market soon.
Right now, it appears as if the C7 will hit shelves in Torch Red, though we don't know if other colors are planned as well. The good news is that New Bright isn't exactly turning its back on the old C6 - representatives say the company will continue to make its popular C6R racecar for those who prefer round taillights.

GM looks to combat high theft rates on SUVs with added tech

Tue, 24 Dec 2013

The Cadillac Escalade has been at or near the top of most-stolen and insurance-loss lists for more than seven years, until it dropped to number six earlier this year. In 2011 it was fitted with a host of new security features to address its easy-to-override features and that has brought the number of thefts down, but when eight of the ten most stolen rides are large SUVs from General Motors, no one will argue that something else needs to be done.
Thus, GM has fitted this same theft-deterring tech to the 2015 Suburban, Tahoe and Yukon. The Suburban and Tahoe will get the steering lock that the Escalade and Yukon already get, plus bolted-down third-row seats to deter thefts like this, stronger door lock cylinders and shields, and side-cut keys to inhibit picking.
Additional security measures in a Theft Protection Package can be purchased for $395, consisting of sensors on the greenhouse glass and interior, an incline/tilt sensor and added "key control systems" to make it more difficult for the men in black balaclavas to steal what you bought.
