Up for auction is a 05 Police tahoe. The NJ state police traded this vehicle in at a local car dealership near me last year and I picked it up. I was going to use it for constable work but since decided against doing so.  It is loaded with all the police equipment., EBAY RULES STRICTLY SAY THIS HAS TO BE DISCONNECTED SO IT HAS BEEN!!!!!!Sirens, lights, shotgun magnetic single rack, cb, whelen red and blue lights. Flickers on headlights and tail lights red and blue on sides rear, and front in grill and windshield. Sirens on grill also. They are also loudspeakers.. ALL DISCONNECTED AND MADE NON FUNCTIONAL BY ME SO I CAN SELL THIS ON EBAY.  Computer and camera are disconnected and I have not tried them. I just thought they looked neat so I left them there.  It has a clear title, and is a good running vehicle. It would be great for someone who does constable work, bail bonds, bounty hunter or other types of law enforcement. Also a police dept with limited funds or a small fire dept who needs a chiefs vehicle, or someone who just likes having a FUN!  This vehicle is EXCELLENT FOR HOME SECURITY!!!! LEAVE IT OUT FRONT AND I BET NO ONE WILL MESS WITH YOUR HOUSE!!!!!!  Has a fresh PA inspection new tires, newer batteries. Will need hoses, and a belt in the near future and probably some new spark plugs and wires. All easy items that I do not have the time to do.  Runs fine and is a cool truck to drive.. Hate to sell it but I have other hobbies that need my attention, and this one is the end of my interest list, but was a lot of fun to own. It just sits and it is time to let it go.  NO DAY DREAMERS, NO CONS!!! YOU PICK IT UP WHEN MY CASH CLEARS. I rather not ship it AND IF YOU WANT IT SHIPPED YOU TAKE CARE OF ALL THAT!!!! WHICH MEANS YOU! NOT ME! ASK FIRST!!!!     . Come pick it up and check it out in person. There is nothing wrong with this truck, not a rust bucket or a lemon. It is in good mechanical condition and is pretty sharp looking. Has the usual dings and dents associated with work vehicle. nicks on the hood from road, ext ext...  need more pictures just ask.

Chevrolet considering midsize crossover to slot between Traverse and Equinox

Mon, Jan 9 2017

Crossovers are the new hotness, and automakers are looking to cash in by offering a size and shape for every customer. With Chevrolet's debut of the new 2018 Traverse in Detroit, which grew ever so slightly compared to the first-generation model, there is now a midsize-crossover-sized hole between the three-row Traverse and the compact Equinox. When asked about that obvious space, a Chevrolet spokesperson told us the company is looking into the possibility of expanding its crossover lineup. It should be a relatively simple thing to do, since all it would take is reskinning and rechristening the GMC Acadia with a bow tie, and we all know how much GM loves platform sharing. Although they're now different sizes, the new Acadia and Traverse still use the same platform; the Acadia is now on a short-wheelbase version of the C1XX while the Traverse uses long-wheelbase C1XX parts. A short-wheelbase Chevy built on the C1XX likely would be differentiated visually from both the Acadia and the larger Traverse. It may seem like flooding the lineup with more and more models would cannibalize sales of existing ones, but Chevrolet said it would rather have customers stay within the brand rather than going to another automaker. There have been whispers that some form of the Blazer name (possibly TrailBlazer) may make a return on a midsizer, but if it does don't expect an old-school body-on-frame SUV like the old one. In the end, if Chevy builds it, customers will come. Related Video:

Leno drives Ringbrothers' latest, 1966 Chevy Chevelle Recoil

Tue, Mar 3 2015

Jay Leno has been checking out quite a few older rides in his garage as of late, but has mixed things up a little this week. Ringbrothers took home an award at the 2014 SEMA Show for the 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle it named Recoil, and now the car has proven it can do more than just look good on Jay Leno's Garage. While the latest guest might look vintage, underneath those classic lines is a thoroughly modern muscle car sporting a claimed 980 horsepower. The heart of this beast is a supercharged LS7 V8 from Wegner Motorsports and a six-speed Tremec manual gearbox. Even with so much power, it can still run on 91-octane pump gas, and when Jay gets on the throttle the result is a wall of sound from the wailing supercharger. Despite the muscle, the Recoil doesn't really scream about its performance aesthetically. The color is a surprisingly plain beige, but the carbon fiber touches and side exhaust certainly indicate that there's something special here. The owner's sole request for the car was to include metal seats, and Ringbrothers provided them with a few bits of leather offering a touch of comfort. After checking the Recoil out from stem to stern, Leno finally gets behind the wheel and treats our ears to pull after pull from that big, supercharged V8.

Chevy might've pulled out of NASCAR if it weren't for new Gen 6 car

Wed, 20 Feb 2013

We've been on the fence with NASCAR for some time now. On one hand, it's some of the closest racing anywhere in motorsports, with actual passing and door-handle-to-door-handle action as a matter of course. But on the other, it's become template racing - a personality-driven sport more about the drivers than any sort of loyalty to a particular automaker. The Car Of Tomorrow format really rammed that message home, with a racecar's identity coming down to little more than headlamp stickers slapped on the nose. That's not necessarily a bad thing in and of itself, but we've wondered for some time what's in it for the automakers, who pay big money to stay in a series that has had little increasingly little do with street car sales, let alone innovation.
Apparently General Motors was beginning to wonder the same thing. In a new ESPN report, Rick Hendrick, team owner of Hendrick Motorsports, suggests that GM would have seriously considered leaving NASCAR if it wasn't for the move away from the COT to the new Gen 6 racer. According to Hendrick, GM North America boss Mark Reuss spearheaded the charge away from the 2007 COT and toward a racecar with clearer automaker ties - cars like the new Chevrolet SS racer shown above. Learn more about the fight for a closer-to-production look in the ESPN story at the link.
Now, if we could just get more rear-wheel drive V8 coupes into showrooms....
