Original owner (selling for my sister) Loaded with every option excluding 3rd row seating in the rear EXCELLENT CONDITION!!! If you didn't look at the odometer, you'd swear it had only 20K miles. No joke. Paint has been washed and waxed regularly. Beautiful dark metallic green...pics don't do it justice! There is one door ding on the passenger rear door (see pic). Check out the pics of the seats...it tells how nice it is. She is very small so there is virtually no wear on the driver's seat or other seats. The chrome Silverado SS wheels (summer wheels) are 22 inches with no curb rash. No peeling of the chrome. Tires are at least 60% The factory wheels have virtually no corrosion, so that tells you this has been a well cared for Michigan truck (we use salt on our roads). Those tires are 85% and the second set (exact factory replacements). She has been a meticulous owner since new, never spent a night outside, always garaged. She loves her Tahoe but has a job now that requires travel and needs to buy something smaller. Deciding to take all of that work on yourself doesn't make things any easier, but it can only increase your connection to the project. Don Rogers, the subject of the latest video from Petrolicious, shows this passion perfectly with his duo of 1964 Chevrolet Impalas – a hardtop and convertible. Both of these Chevys had been sitting for years before Rogers got his talented hands on them, and he did all of the work himself. Now, driving the pair is therapy for him, and he's not worried about anything breaking because he knows he can put it back together. Rogers says he enjoys wrenching on his vehicles even more than going to shows. Doing your own work comes with advantages, like tailoring a project's look to your preferences. It's not original, but Rogers used the crimson interior color from a '59 Impala on his convertible to make the interior pop with the top down. GM warning 800,000 owners that their cars may need oil changes more frequently than they say
Fri, 05 Apr 2013The days of changing your engine oil every 3,000 miles are long gone thanks to most cars having automatic oil monitoring systems, but about 800,000 General Motors vehicles apparently have incorrect monitoring software that is leading to premature engine component wear. According to Autoweek, certain 2010-2012 Buick LaCrosse, Regal, Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain models equipped with 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines could be going too long in between oil changes resulting in a higher-than-normal number of warranty claims for the engine's balance chain. The balance chain links the balance shaft to the crankshaft, and a worn one can produce higher noise levels.
As a fix, GM dealers will be reprogramming the software for the monitors in an effort to reduce the interval between oil changes, which varies based on driving habits and conditions. Through February 2015, the software update will be done at no cost to vehicle owners, but since this is not a recall, after that point, it will be up to the discretion of dealers as to whether or not they will charge for the service. What isn't immediately clear is whether GM plans on giving assistance to out-of-warranty customers who are experiencing engine issues from the worn chain.
