Hello, I have owned this Tahoe for the last 12 years and bought it with just a few thousand miles on it . It has been a great very dependable vehicle but I decided to upgrade to a new Chevy a few weeks ago. I would love to keep this Tahoe but don't have the room for it in the driveway . I have had very little problems with it over the last 12 years. It still runs great and drives very nice going down the road . The transmission shifts well and all the 4 wheel drive parts work fine . The tires have a lot of life and the brake work fine . Most every thing works but there are a few things that do need to be fixed or replaced . most of them should be easy or cheap fixes . I will try and name all of the things I know about that is wrong but there may be a few things I miss also . The driver side mirror is heated and the glass part of the mirror is getting discolored and hard to see out of .A few of the dash lights are burned out . The key fob was lost and needs to be replaced. The air condition is not cold as it should be but every 3 or 4 years I have had to have Freon added to the system and it works great again . This Tahoe has the rear air option and the rear fan is not turning on , maybe just a fuse not sure . The rear hatch struts are not holding the door open anymore and need replaced . The fog light need replaced or parts they are not working . There are various scratches and flaws in body , paint and interior . I have tried to take a lot of pictures so look at them close . This really is still a great vehicle but it is 13 years old and not perfect .If you would like to inspect the vehicle before biding on it or have any questions please email me . This Tahoe is loaded with options including the tow package. The 5.3 vortec motors has lots of power and this Tahoe is still very nice to drive.

Leaked GM document shows GMC Sierra I6 diesel is more powerful than F-150's
Thu, Oct 4 2018GM told us earlier this year that the 2019 GMC Sierra would be getting a 3.0-liter I6 diesel option, but it never mentioned power or fuel economy figures. Hold the phone though, because a leaked GM Canada document just showed up online that lists out the details we've been waiting for. Originally published by TFL Truck, the 3.0-liter oil-burner supposedly makes 282 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. For those who are counting, that's more than the Ford F-150's 250 horsepower and 440 pound-feet from its 3.0-liter diesel. It soundly bests the 240 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque from Ram's 3.0-liter diesel as well. Fuel economy is another story, though. The promotional material states that it will get 28 mpg on the highway, which is 2 mpg short of the F-150's 30 mpg — mind you, it's only capable of that magical 30 mpg figure in rear-wheel drive form. There's another caveat here, too; these are numbers for Canada, so they're not exactly finalized EPA figures. However, we wouldn't expect drastic differences between the two when the American numbers come out. The leaked documents also state the diesel Sierra will be capable of towing 7,800 pounds. That number seems remarkably low when compared to the F-150, which can tow up to 11,400 pounds with its diesel. Extra power and torque would have us assume that GM could get even better numbers than Ford, so we're going to hold our final judgment for official word. A 10-speed automatic will do the shifting on the diesel, just like on the 6.2-liter V8. Since the Chevy Silverado is also expected to get this engine, we can assume the figures would be almost, if not identical, to those we see here. We recently drove the 2019 Sierra and Silverado without the diesel engines, so go check those reviews out if you'd like to know more of our thoughts on the redesigned GM trucks. Related video:
GM warning 800,000 owners that their cars may need oil changes more frequently than they say
Fri, 05 Apr 2013The days of changing your engine oil every 3,000 miles are long gone thanks to most cars having automatic oil monitoring systems, but about 800,000 General Motors vehicles apparently have incorrect monitoring software that is leading to premature engine component wear. According to Autoweek, certain 2010-2012 Buick LaCrosse, Regal, Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain models equipped with 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines could be going too long in between oil changes resulting in a higher-than-normal number of warranty claims for the engine's balance chain. The balance chain links the balance shaft to the crankshaft, and a worn one can produce higher noise levels.
As a fix, GM dealers will be reprogramming the software for the monitors in an effort to reduce the interval between oil changes, which varies based on driving habits and conditions. Through February 2015, the software update will be done at no cost to vehicle owners, but since this is not a recall, after that point, it will be up to the discretion of dealers as to whether or not they will charge for the service. What isn't immediately clear is whether GM plans on giving assistance to out-of-warranty customers who are experiencing engine issues from the worn chain.
