1995 Chevrolet Suburban. It is equipped as follows: 6.5 turbo diesel (transplanted from a 2000 Chevy-the motor has less than 100K on it), auto overdrive 4L80E transmission, 3/4 ton, 4x4, power everything, leather seats with 3rd row seat, full size spare tire, rear AC and heat (AC don't work--charge??) Class III hitch. Clear title. 181,xxx miles. Decent tires all around. Late model aluminum rims with center caps, Body pretty good--little rust on bottom of doors. Does have a booboo on right rear door where a yellow pole brushed against it-doesn't affect operation of the door. Suburban has the following new parts: head gaskets, head bolt set, oil pressure switch, electric fuel pump, water pump, heater hoses, timing set, oil pan gasket, fuel filter, serpentine belt. Also has relocated aftermarket PMD to prevent overheating--$325.00!! Have all paperwork to support maintenance and parts. Starts, runs, shifts and drives as it is supposed to. SES light goes on and off whenever it wants to.  Has small hole in exhaust behind downpipe--diagnostic says its an O2 sensor--probably from hole in exhaust.  You don't see these trucks for sale very often--kind of hard to find. Reason for selling--just don't use it often enough to keep it. This truck blue books for about $4200.00. If you have any questions, please call or text Rick at 765-220-6626.  Vehicle is licensed. This truck is sold as-is, where-is, as-shown. No warranty of any kind. All sales final. I may be able to deliver (weather permitting) within 300 miles of 47374 at $2.00 per loaded mile. These delivery fees are to be paid in advance of delivery being made.  Do not assume anything--call with questions.  Not a perfect truck, but still nice.  Thanks for checking out my auction.

GM files to trademark name Badlands

Mon, Feb 23 2015

If you've been hoping for General Motors to come out swinging at the Ford F-150 Raptor, we've had some tantalizing news for you of late. Last month we brought you a report that indicated GM has trademarked the name "Z71 Trail Boss," suggesting a potential hardcore off-roader. Now it seems the General has filed for a potentially even better name. That name, as our friends over at GM Authority have discovered, is "Badlands." The application, filed on February 16, indicates that it's for a truck, but of course it doesn't specify just what form it would take... or for that matter, under which division it would fall. So we could, in theory, be looking at the nameplate for a Raptor rival from Chevy or GMC (like the 2011 Sierra All Terrain HD concept pictured here), or for some other trim level, a concept truck, a special edition... just about anything. Heck, it could be for a Vauxhall, Opel or Holden for all we know at this point. Or GM could choose not to use it on anything at all, but here's hoping it'll emerge as something awesome in US showrooms sometime soon. Race Recap: 2013 Indianapolis 500 better than Bollywood; all the emotion, none of the music [spoilers]

Mon, 27 May 2013

If the 2013 Indy 500 were a movie it would be the one expected to win all the little statues come awards season, and if it were an athlete it would have made spectators watch in awe as it broke record after record. And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.

Recharge Wrap-up: Volt makes up third of Quebec Chevy dealerships sales, Tesla seeks Aussie talent

Wed, Nov 5 2014

A Chevrolet dealership in Quebec has had the Volt make up 35 percent of its sales so far this year. Bourgeois Chevrolet in Rawdon, Quebec received recognition for the feat at the 2014 Electric Vehicle Conference, where it won the award for Leading Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle Dealership. To sell that many, Bourgeois Chevrolet had to import used Volts from the US, and keeps about 50 units on the lot in various configurations. The conference also saw Park Avenue Nissan of Brossard, Quebec win the Leading Battery Electric Vehicle Dealership Award, and Loch Lomond Mitsubishi of Saint John, New Brunswick receive the award for Electric Vehicle Dealership Inspiration. Ford, General Motors and Toyota have announced that they will shut down their Australian factories, leaving behind a lot of unused talent. Tesla recently held a "Recruiting Open House" in Melbourne for engineers to fill positions at its plant in Fremont, CA, where they will be paired with other Aussie engineers already on staff. Valeo recently showed an electric turbo it plans to supply to an unnamed automaker at a fuel economy showcase event at the EPA's National Vehicle Emissions and Fuel Lab. Electric turbochargers have the advantage of greatly reduced lag when compared to exhaust-driven turbos. They also work well when paired with cylinder deactivation, providing a much-needed boost when driving on a grade, which can help reduce the need for cylinders to reactivate. Independence from the exhaust system also makes it easier to package the turbocharger wherever there is room. Read more from Navigant Research.
