Very clean Suburban for sale. I am the second owner, the first was a woman that was a traveling sales person, so most of the miles are highway. The oil has been changed every 6000 miles since it was purchased. I am meticulous about the care of this truck. The tires are Bridgestone Duelers and are two years old with about 18000 miles on them, The transmission, lines and boxes, were replaced completely new a year ago by my Chevrolet dealer. The motor is very strong, and the oil pressure does not falter at 80 miles an hour when the air conditioning is turned on high. The A/C blows ice cold, the heated seats work great as does the radio, cd, satellite, and dvd player. It has the Bose speaker system and it rocks. There have never been any kids, dogs, or smokers in this truck, it also has never been on a beach nor off-road. The miles are up there but a well taken care of Suburban can go 300,000 miles easily, and this one has been babied. There are signs of age and minor wear and tear but all in all it is in excellent condition. Most truck with this many miles are beat to shit and look tired, this is not at all. There is hardly, if any, rust on the truck. The only "dent" to report is in the rear passenger side next to a scratch(in photo). A non-refundable $1000 deposit via paypal is required within 24 hours to complete the sale. NHTSA closes book on Ford, GM probes of 600,000 vehicles
Thu, Nov 27 2014US safety regulators have closed a pair of investigations into some 500,000 Ford Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis and Marauder sedans built between 2004 to 2007, and 100,000 Chevrolet Impala models from 2014. The Ford investigation focused on rusting heat shields, which may become dislodged and jam the steering, according to Reuters. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found that this happened very rarely. In fact, of the ten incidents filed with the government safety watchdog, six came from a single police department, which evidently had some sort of problem with its reporting. As for the Impala, the NHTSA investigators attributed two incidences of "unintended autonomous braking" to user error. In both cases, the vehicles were involved in rear-end collisions. According to GM investigators, it's believed that drivers accidentally activated the electric parking brake, causing the collisions. The vehicles in question were rental cars. Chevy might've pulled out of NASCAR if it weren't for new Gen 6 car
Wed, 20 Feb 2013We've been on the fence with NASCAR for some time now. On one hand, it's some of the closest racing anywhere in motorsports, with actual passing and door-handle-to-door-handle action as a matter of course. But on the other, it's become template racing - a personality-driven sport more about the drivers than any sort of loyalty to a particular automaker. The Car Of Tomorrow format really rammed that message home, with a racecar's identity coming down to little more than headlamp stickers slapped on the nose. That's not necessarily a bad thing in and of itself, but we've wondered for some time what's in it for the automakers, who pay big money to stay in a series that has had little increasingly little do with street car sales, let alone innovation.
Apparently General Motors was beginning to wonder the same thing. In a new ESPN report, Rick Hendrick, team owner of Hendrick Motorsports, suggests that GM would have seriously considered leaving NASCAR if it wasn't for the move away from the COT to the new Gen 6 racer. According to Hendrick, GM North America boss Mark Reuss spearheaded the charge away from the 2007 COT and toward a racecar with clearer automaker ties - cars like the new Chevrolet SS racer shown above.
