I have a 1999 K 2500 Suburban for sale. It is 4WD and is fully loaded except for a sunroof. The suburban has the 454 7.4L vortec with a 4L80 transmission 9.25 front axle and 10 1/2 rear axle. IT does have the G80 option code for the limited slip rear. And has 3.73 gears. The motor puts out 300hp and 410 ft lbs torque. It has heated mirrors and seats. Front and rear AC and heat. Third row seating and leather interior. The interior is in good shape, the drivers seat has a tear on the edge. But it is not bad and is normal for these trucks. All the rear seating is almost perfect. It has factory tinted windows, heavy duty towing package, Auto 4WD with selectable 4 HI, 4 Low, and 2 HI. This truck was previously owned by a GM tech, and i have owned it and am also a GM tech. It has been very well taken care of. The mileage is 156,375. The truck runs great and is very dependable. If something had a problem it was fixed. Here is a list of things that were just recently replaced in the last year.

AC compressor, Fuel injectors, fuel pressure regulator, lower intake gaskets, distributor (MSD), ACCEL coil, Ignition module, Spark plugs and wires, Water pump, Fan Clutch, Radiator, Rear Hub seals on rear axle, Rear Brakes, Crank Sensor, Hydro Boost brake booster, New Tires. Flowmaster exhaust system. Not too loud but has a nice rumble. Not obnoctious on a long trip. There is much more that i am forgetting. But as soon as this truck had a issue it was fixed.

The AC blows cold and everything works good on this truck. IT has new tires on it and the tires have about 500 miles on them. There are a few minor scratches and dents in the truck. But overall the truck is in great shape. I would not hesitate to drive this truck on a long trip. Starts up great. Entire drive train is in good shape.  And the good thing about this truck is you can haul your family and a trailer and not have to have weighted tags because it is titled as a station wagon and is exempt from weighted or truck tags. This truck has been owned by responsable adults and not kids. it has not been taken off roading or abused. It has a trailer hitch and is a 2500 series truck. This truck is not ragged out like most. If you wish please feel free to call me at 252-455-8478 if you have any questions. Pay PAL or cash only. buyer will be responsible for vehicle transportation or pickup. It can be driven to wherever once there are tags of buyers on the vehicle.

GM recalling 15k midsize pickups over leaky brakes

Mon, Jun 8 2015

General Motors has announced a recall in coordination with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration related to the brakes on the 2015 Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon. In the 14,838 units in the United States estimated to be affected, the front brake calipers may be leaking fluid. Needless to say, that could make them less effective, which could hinder the vehicle's ability to stop in time to avoid a collision. The affected units were all manufactured between January 6 and December 24, 2014. The fix seems simple and straightforward enough, with dealers being instructed to inspect the front brake calipers, and replace them if necessary. See below for all the details from NHTSA. RECALL Subject : Brake Fluid Leak Report Receipt Date: MAY 12, 2015 NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V278000 Component(s): SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC Potential Number of Units Affected: 14,838 Manufacturer: General Motors LLC SUMMARY: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2015 Chevrolet Colorado, and GMC Canyon trucks manufactured January 6, 2014, to December 24, 2014. The affected vehicles may experience the front brake calipers leaking brake fluid. This is due to air pockets, an imperfection in the metal caliper body. CONSEQUENCE: If the vehicle experiences a brake fluid leak it can increase the stopping distance, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash. REMEDY: GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the front-brake calipers if necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin July 10, 2015. Owners may contact GM customer service at 1-800-222-1020 (Chevrolet), or 1-800-462-8782 (GMC). GM's number for this recall is 14888. NOTES: Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov. Steve McQueen's last movie car, now Pawn Stars-owned, up for auction [w/video]

Sun, 03 Feb 2013

The last car Steve McQueen ever drove in a movie is officially up for auction. The 1951 Chevrolet Styline DeLuxe Convertible you see above is now owned by none other than Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars fame, but once ferried McQueen around the set of his last film, 1980's The Hunter. That flick saw the Bullit star play a bumbling bounty hunter and didn't exactly set the box office on fire. McQueen bought the car after production wrapped, and four years later it sold at his estate sale at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas.
Flash forward to 2003, and the convertible received a full restoration back to near-stock specifications. Hagerty Insurance estimates the car to be worth around $45,000 without the significant providence. Given its ties to one of film's most popular gearheads, the old Chevrolet could fetch up to 10 times that when it goes under the gavel in Ft Luaderdale, Florida on March 22. You can head over to the Auctions America site for more information. You can also check out the trailer for The Hunter below.

Man spent $75 on a truck that lasted 38 years

Mon, Jan 5 2015

Absurd as it is, some buyers today are worried about getting their car to last throughout the term of their seven-year car loan. Minnesota resident Bob Sportel has the opposite issue: his Chevrolet truck seemingly won't die. Sportel needed a cheap ride to get to work when he took a job at a farmer's co-op 38 years ago, so he bought a rusty 1957 Chevy pickup for $75 from a farmer; at the time, the 20-year-old truck was almost as old as Bob was. After nearly four decades of daily driving and an estimated 300,000 miles, Sportel is still driving the truck today. Bolts secure a fender, Bondo secures the lights, what looks like a whole roll of duct tape keeps him sitting on the bench seat instead of in it. For a 58-year-old pickup that's never seen a garage or a new coat of paint – but did get its oil changed four times a year – that's not bad; Sportel thinks his repair bill hasn't got above $1,000 for the entire time he's owned the truck. He still has no plans to get rid of it, saying, "It just becomes a part of you." You can watch his story in the video above. News Source: KARE11.com Chevrolet Truck Classics Videos
