I bought this Suburban on September 23, 2010. It has served me well the past 2 years. Unfortunately it is time for it to move on to a new home. I wouldn't hesitate to get in and drive to California tomorrow. The engine and transmission are strong. The transmission was replaced before I purchased at 175,000 Miles. The heat and a/c work like new. I have done a lot of work on this and it is ready for another 100,000 miles with nothing more than routine maintenance. The oil has been changed every 4000 Miles and I have regularly lubricated the window motors, tracks, door hinges, and door locks. The oil was just changed less than 1000 miles ago with Full Synthetic Mobil1 oil. The body has its share of dings and scratches. It isn't a show car but it does clean up nicely and drives like a dream. The interior is all leather and in fair condition. Like most Suburbans, the front seats are torn, the middle and 3rd rows are cracked but with conditioner applied normally they shouldn't get worse. I removed all seats and shampooed the interior when I bought it and have since twice shampooed around the seats. It has been cleaned inside regularly. The 4x4 works perfectly and I've never gotten stuck with it. This suburban is a good runner and has never let me sit, nor will it the next owner.
In January 2011 I replaced the Fuel Return Lines and the fuel filter. I also replaced the rear brake lines, and the battery.
In February2011 I replaced the front brake lines.
In April 2011 I replaced the compressor, and condenser. The A/C worked like new and will when summer hits again. Blows like ICE! I also replaced the radiator at this time.
In November 2011 I had the entire cooling system flushed after replacing the thermostat. (Air Lock in heater core) Heat now works perfect and gets HOT!
In January 2012 I replaced the spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, distributor.
May 2012 I replaced the whole exhaust system from the exhaust manifold back. I also replaced the driver's door pins.
June 2012 Replaced both front calipers, rotors, and brakes. At this time I also replaced the rear differential cover and fluid. I changed the front differential fluid as well.
In July 2012 I replaced the Air Cleaner with a K&N Air Filter
If you have any other questions, call or text 570916three793.
I've been driving it so in the pictures it is a little dirty inside. It will be cleaned before it is taken by the next owner. I also have more interior photos I can text or email.

GM faces possible class action lawsuit over 8-speed transmission
Thu, Apr 25 2019General Motors has been hit with a class-action lawsuit from owners who allege the eight-speed automatic transmission found in several rear-wheel-drive Chevrolet, Cadillac and GMC models between the 2015 and 2019 model years has a defect that causes the vehicles to hesitate and jerk when accelerating or slowing down. The lawsuit was posted to ClassAction.org and spotted by GM Authority. Problems with GM's Hydra-Matic 8L90 and 8L45 transmissions have been well-documented on Internet forums and via complaints filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, with many reporting damage to their vehicles. The lawsuit was first filed in December in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida but appears to have been transferred recently to New York. Autoblog sought comment from Theodore Leopold, the lead attorney for the plaintiffs. "These transmissions have a common defect," the complaint reads. "Drivers attempting to accelerate or decelerate their cars feel a hesitation, followed by a significant shake, shudder, jerk, clunk, or 'hard shift' when the vehicle's automatic transmission changes gears." The problem also occurs when the vehicles accelerate in a single gear, without shifting, the plaintiffs allege. "Drivers have reported that the shift is sometimes so violent, they feel as though they have been hit by another vehicle." The problem is believed to center on the transmission, torque converter or both. The complaint says it causes undue friction, causing hydraulic systems and gears to function improperly and sometimes leaves metal shavings throughout the transmission, leading to costly repairs and replacement of parts or the entire transmission. It says GM has known about the problems since shortly after it introduced the transmissions, and has issued 13 technical service bulletins, none of which have resolved the problem. GM declined to comment on the lawsuit. The plaintiffs say GM should have warned consumers about the issues and covered repairs under each vehicle's three-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty. They're seeking statewide classes in at least six states: California, Florida, Illinois, New York, Oklahoma and Texas.
China's rise, global restructuring wither GM's Korea division
Wed, Jan 7 2015An article in the Daily Kanban suggests the sun is setting on GM Korea, and it could already be well into dusk. GM Korea came about when General Motors, along with co-investors SAIC and Suzuki, bought Daewoo Motors from parent company Daewoo Group in 2001; it had a previous tie-up with GM, a joint venture that ended in 1992, although Daewoo cars were based on GM cars until 1996. Over the decade following the purchase, it became such an important part of operations that it was renamed GM Korea in 2011, "to reflect its heightened status in [the] global operations of GM." Just two years later, the printed rumors were that the subsidiary responsible for a fifth of Chevrolet's global production could be shutting down. The division's sales were down almost 21 percent through November of last year, counting domestic South Korean sales, exports, and CKD – Complete Knock Down – products. That makes the labor strife, already an issue for four years, even more acute, reports say the subsidiary will lose $36 million a year if it can't get the job and wage cuts it wants, and government concessions can't make up for the losses. And it gets worse, so head over to Daily Kanban to read the rest of the story.
AWD turbodiesel Equinox, Terrain dropped for 2020
Thu, May 2 2019Citing low demand, General Motors is dropping the AWD diesel options off the Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain roster. Chevrolet spokesman Kevin Kelly confirmed to CarsDirect that for 2020, the diesel versions of these SUVs will only be offered with front-wheel-drive. CarsDirect notes that with the AWD diesel Equinox and Terrain gone, the only AWD diesel option in this class is the Mazda CX-5 Skyactiv diesel, which is significantly more expensive: As the AWD diesel CX-5 is only available in a fully loaded Signature specification, the $42,045 price tag is almost $10k heftier than the cheapest comparable Equinox, the AWD 1.6-liter diesel LT which starts from $32,495. The 2019 GMC Terrain AWD SLE costs $34,795 in comparison, which works out to being around $7,200 cheaper than the Mazda. The higher trim levels for the Equinox and Terrain are Premier and SLT, respectively. Some reasoning behind the AWD diesel GM SUV's low uptake is their own price difference to base FWD gasoline models: you can get a 1.5-liter Equinox for less than §25,000 listed. While the 2.2-liter Mazda has plenty more power at 168 hp and 290 lb-ft, compared to 137hp and 240 lb-ft in the 1.6-liter GM SUVs, the Equinox and Terrain are notably more frugal – they are rated 32mpg combined, while the Mazda can manage 28 mpg. With better fuel economy and a significantly lower list price, the General Motors twins are at least more wallet-friendly when it comes to numbers, and as the vehicles will cease to be built in that configuration there's likely to be some cash on the hood on ones in stock.
