1970 GMC Suburban CST factory BB 402,auto,PS, Tach. I bought this suburban awhile back to put on the body of my 1970 4x4 but its too rare and original to tear apart and have a non numbers matching rig. The suburban is very original and has low rust for the 67-72 body style, The floors are solid, their is surface rust at the kick panels on both sides, I poked with a screw driver in the crack and theyre still solid. The passenger side front rocker panel needs replaced the others are solid. The rear quarters are solid inside and out, nothing but surface rust, the spare tire carrier has only surface rust inside and out. Their is no rust around the windshield frame.  Their is some rust bubbling in the drivers door as seen in the pics. The body mounts are all solid. The back hatch is rusted at the bottom as seen in the pics. I pulled the original carpet out and took pictures of the floor so you can see. However the carpet is falling apart badly. The seats, headliner, door panels are all original. The tops of the seats have some small holes in them as seen in the pictures. The suburban has one dent in the hood, and some small dings here and their, the bumpers are a little wavy. All the glass is good except for the windshield. The suburban runs, drives, and stops. The passenger side exhaust manifold has a crack. The engine sounds good. The truck has been parked for 6 years, the original owner passed away and the son decided to sell it. The tires are good. If I were to keep it I would repair the back hatch, find another white hood, sandblast the floors and epoxy paint them, lower it and add some hubcaps and tires thats it.  However its not a prefect truck, it has dings, a dent in the hood, and some rust. It would be a great weekend driver to the car shows and around town or you could restore it. If you have questions please ask. I would not plan on driving it home. It probably needs a tune up, tranny fluid changed, inspected etc.... I do have a clean and clear title. I have not put it in my name its blank. You can put your  name there. If this bothers you add 150.00 to the purchase price and give me 3 weeks to get one in my name. The truck must be paid in full in 7 days after the auction closes. The winning bidder must make a non refundable  paypal deposit of 500.00 withing 12 hours of auction close. I will keep your deposit regardless of your excuse on why your backing out. So check shipping and do your homework before hand. If you have 0 or negative feedback you must contact me before bidding. Thank you and happy bidding!

First-edition Detroit muscle raises millions for charity at Barrett-Jackson

Mon, Jan 19 2015

Amidst all the classic metal crossing the auction block each year in Scottsdale, AZ, Detroit automakers have a tradition of donating the first examples of their most enticing new muscle cars, with the proceeds of their sales going towards worthwhile charities. This year, Barrett-Jackson handled three noteworthy examples. The highest price among them was the first Ford Shelby GT350R Mustang with the VIN #001, which raised $1 million for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. General Motors donated the first new Chevy Corvette Z06 Convertible, the first retail example of the droptop supercar garnering $800,000 for the United Way. Along with the Z06, GM also donated the first new 2016 Cadillac CTS-V sedan, which brought in $170,000 for Detroit's College for Creative Studies. Although these were the headline Motown muscle machines furnished by the automakers themselves, they weren't the only vehicles auctioned off for worthy causes. A 1950 GM Futurliner bus donated by collector Ron Pratte led the charge when it brought in $4.65 million for the Armed Forces Foundation. Other lots included a custom Jeep Wrangler donated by SEMA ($85k), a new M5 donated by BMW ($800k), a '79 Oldsmobile Cutlass Hurst ($140k), '39 Cadillac LaSalle C-Hawk ($410k), Jeff Gordon's 1999 NASCAR-spec Chevy Monte Carlo ($500k) and a Victory Cross Country 8-Ball motorcycle ($180k). All told, the charity lots raised over $8.7 million for local and national charities. BARRETT-JACKSON REACHES HISTORIC HIGHS FOR SALES, CROWDS AND CELEBRITY APPEARANCES IN SCOTTSDALE • Barrett-Jackson sold 1,611 vehicles, which went for more than $130 million (unaudited), smashing records in the company's 44-year history during the 10-day auction at WestWorld of Scottsdale • Automobilia sales nearly tripled world records, with 2,000 pieces selling for more than $6.55 million • Celebrity attendance and crowds, along with ratings on Discovery and Velocity, spike SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Jan. 18, 2015 – Barrett-Jackson, The World's Greatest Collector Car AuctionsTM, reached historic highs during the Scottsdale auction at WestWorld from Jan. 10-18, 2015. During the 10-day auction, Barrett-Jackson recorded more than $130 million in vehicle sales (unaudited) and a world record $6.55 million in automobilia sales (unaudited), making it the highest auction in sales to date. MotorWeek looks back at 1995 Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon

Sat, Jun 20 2015

MotorWeek's Retro Review series gives us a nostalgic look back at some of the best sports cars and luxury sedans available in the 1980s and '90s. For its latest clip, the show shifts gears to remember the 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon. Similar to the success of crossovers today, SUVs were tallying big sales and making big money for automakers in the mid-'90s. The Tahoe and Yukon filled slots in the market as steps down from the larger Suburban. These twins weren't wanting for space, though, with plenty of room to haul around a family. MotorWeek came away generally impressed too, and called the models some "of the better riding sport utilities we've ever experienced." This review comes with some jazzy, electric guitar licks to enjoy in the background.
