2005 Chevy SSR Roadster Pick Up ** Supercharged ** This eye catching slingshot yellow six speed truck has had one owner since 2005. It has always been garaged and never smoked in. It is in great condition with most of the miles on the truck being from highway use. After 63,000 easy miles, it still has it's stock clutch. It has been carefully modified to enhance performance and boasts a Magnuson supercharger delivering 8psi of boost. It has the rare 4:56 gears added to help it get off the line and a DynoTech metal matrix drive shaft (the best and no longer available) to make sure the drive train handles the extra power. Exhaust gasses are handled by Kooks long tubes and cats up front and a Magnaflow cat back which give an authorative sound without being intrusive. The engine is fitted with custom coil covers for a clean look under the hood. Also upgraded is the cooling. It has a 'Arizona Mike's' auxiliary fan which handles the Florida summers perfectly! The truck has a Pioneer navigation system fitted, replacing the factory CD player. It comes with the optional chrome wheels and carpeted bed lining with wood strips. |

2014 Chevrolet Cruze TD fires up its new diesel motor
Thu, 07 Feb 2013Ever since General Motors confirmed plans to produce a diesel-powered Cruze back in 2011, we've been eagerly awaiting its arrival. And as part of the 2013 Chicago Auto Show, Chevrolet has pulled back the cover on its oil-burning compact sedan, set to go on sale in the near future with a starting price of $25,695, not including $810 for destination.
The heart and soul of the Cruze TD (that's its official name) is a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel inline four-cylinder engine rated at 148 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, mated solely to a six-speed automatic transmission. The engine also has an overboost function that will increase torque to 280 lb-ft for up to ten seconds. The full brace of official specs haven't been released, but GM tells us that highway fuel economy will come in at 42 miles per gallon. If that number sounds familiar, it's because the Volkswagen Jetta TDI has the exact same rating. Unlike the Jetta, however, the Cruze TD can run on B20 biodiesel, where as the Volkswagen can only accept B5.
Model-specific changes to this 2014 Cruze TD include an aero kit and unique 17-inch alloy wheels. Inside, there's a full leather interior, and Chevrolet will provide two years of complimentary scheduled maintenance, not to mention a 100,000-mile powertrain warranty.

Use this PowerPoint when convincing your spouse to let you buy a Corvette
Thu, 14 Feb 2013When you are not the one in charge of the purse strings, creativity is a must when trying to get the string-holder to bankroll that next shiny object you just can't live without.
When I was a kid, I decided that life wasn't worth living if it weren't in pursuit of owning a GMC Typhoon. My 12-year-old self crafted a fiscal strategy that, when combined with my offer of a 49-percent share of ownership in the car in return for my parents' contribution of 80-percent of the purchase price, would see me behind the wheel of a Typhoon by the time I hit college. They walked away from the negotiating table and, the economic climate of the 8th grade being what it was at the time, another partner wasn't found before the Typhoon was discontinued.
Roy El-Rayes, however, has succeeded where 12-year-old me failed, and he did it by using the sort of professionalism that only a PowerPoint presentation can provide, along with some humor and bold-faced flattery.
