I am updating my trucking fleet    to all 6 car transports,  This truck is a work horse, good to great condition.  It includes a diesel automatic gravity feed  transfer tank 75 gallon and storage box mounted in bed. this was a $900.00 option.  The lock on the storage box in the bed will need to be replaced .  I would put a strong clasp lock with pad lock on it.  The lock was jimmied at a truck stop , no damage to box, but needs replacing. It has bed rails mounted in bed for either gooseneck or fifth wheel adapter.  All tires are from Discount tire with less than 10 thousand miles on them with full road hazard warranty,  see pic.  I am going to leave CB radio in truck at sale.   I just had $3800/00 worth of updates performed at Jim Winter GMC dealer here.  Updated fuel rail, harness, injector service, New brakes front and rear. both front wheel bearings replaced. I had a complete safety check performed and any problems fixed at that time.   The truck runs great, sounds great,  shifts as it should.  All fluids have been changed and flushed,  and complete service history as Required by DOT is available for inspection at pick up.  The glass is clear , no chips or cracks.  interior in good to great shape.  Minor paint chips and small barely noticeable bruises on body.  Its a nice looking and driving truck. no visible leaks,  doesn't smoke, starts right up all options work including the cruise control.

I am a journeyman auto technician for General Motors  at the proving grounds in milford Michigan.  I keep my fleet in excellent repair.  Its easier to repair them at my shop than on the road.

If you are in the market for one nice truck you will be hard pressed to find one that looks and runs as good as this one.

If you are interested in starting your own towing company I also have 3 kaufman trailers listed on ebay

Any questions please feel free to call me at  5179372337  its a cell phone.  I can answer any questions you have.

As you can see by my ebay numbers,  100% satisfaction  I do not rip people off and describe  items as best I can.

A $500.00 deposit due  payable to paypal for deposit required within 3 days of winning auction.  Here is the deal, if you show up and find any reason to not want the truck and the description was off I will refund the deposit immediately. NO hard feelings. If you just change your mind , don't show up  ,  which some have done, the deposit will not be returned as it costs to place ads and my time to relist. Balance of payment will need to be cash or Certified Cashier Check.

I am confident once you see the truck, drive it , you will love it.  Ill also throw in a new fuel filter, transmission filter, and oil filter   just to sweeten up the deal.

GM seeks national mandate for zero-emissions cars

Fri, Oct 26 2018

DETROIT — General Motors says it will ask the federal government for one national gas mileage standard, including a requirement that a percentage of auto companies' sales be zero-emissions vehicles. Mark Reuss, GM's executive vice president of product development, said the company will propose that a certain percentage of nationwide sales be made up of vehicles that run on electricity or hydrogen fuel cells. GM says a nationwide program modeled on such a requirement in California could result in 7 million electric vehicles, or EVs, on U.S. roads by 2030. California wants 15.4 percent of vehicle sales by 2025 to be EVs or other zero emission vehicles. Nine other states, including Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York, have adopted those requirements. In January, California Governor Jerry Brown set a target of 5 million zero-emission vehicles in California by 2030. The Trump administration criticizes California's ZEV mandate, saying it requires automakers to spend tens of billions of dollars developing vehicles that most consumers do not want, only to sell them at a loss. Reuss told reporters that governments and industries in Asia and Europe "are working together to enact policies now to hasten the shift to an all-electric future. It's very simple: America has the opportunity to lead in the technologies of the future." A national mandate also would create jobs and reduce fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and "make EVs more affordable," Reuss added. GM, the nation's largest automaker, will spell out the request Friday in written comments on a Trump administration proposal to roll back Obama-era fuel economy and emissions standards, freezing them at 2020 levels instead of gradually making them tougher. Under a regulation finalized by the Environmental Protection Agency at the end of the Obama administration, the fleet of new automobiles would have to get 36 miles per gallon by 2025, 10 mpg higher than the current requirement. But the Trump administration's preferred plan is to freeze the standards starting in 2021. Administration officials say waiving the tougher fuel efficiency requirements would make vehicles more affordable, which would get safer cars into consumer hands more quickly. GM on Thursday said it doesn't support the freeze, but wants flexibility to deal with consumers' shift from cars to less-efficient SUVs and trucks.

There once was a time when Daewoo was one of the biggest companies in South Korea. It was larger than both LG and Samsung, and second only to Hyundai. But these days the name is all but gone.

The USPS needs 180,000 new delivery vehicles, automakers gearing up to bid

Wed, Feb 18 2015

Winning the New York City Taxi of Tomorrow tender was a huge prize for Nissan, even though the company is still working through the process of claiming its prize. The United States Postal Service has begun the process to take bids for a new delivery vehicle to replace the all-too-familiar Grumman Long Life Vehicle, and that will be a much larger plum for the automaker who wins it, perhaps worth more than six billion dollars. The Grumman LLV is an aluminum body covering a Chevrolet S-10 pickup chassis and General Motors' Iron Duke four-cylinder engine. The USPS bought them from 1987 to 1994, and the 163,000 of them still in service are a monumental drain on postal resources: they get roughly ten miles to the gallon instead of the quoted 16 mpg, drink up more than $530 million in fuel each year, and their constant repair needs like the balky sliding door and leaky windshields have led the service to increase the annual maintenance budget from $100 million to $500 million. A seat belt is about as modern as it gets for safety technology, and the USPS says that assuming things stay the same, it can't afford to run them beyond 2017. Last year it put out two triage requests for proposals seeking 10,000 new chassis and drivetrains for the Grumman and 10,000 new vehicles. The LLV is also too small for the modern mail system in which package delivery is growing and letter delivery is declining. The service says it doesn't have a fixed idea of the ideal "next-generation delivery vehicles," but it listed a number of requirements in its initial request and is open to any proposal. Carriers have some suggestions, though, saying they want better cupholders, sun visors that they can stuff letters behind, a driver's compartment free of slits that can swallow mail, and a backup camera. The request for information sent to automakers pegs the tender at 180,000 vehicles that would cost between $25,000 and $35,000 apiece, and it will hold a conference on February 18 to answer questions about the contract. GM is the only domestic maker to avow an interest, while Ford and Fiat-Chrysler have remained cagey. Yet with a possible $6.3 billion up for grabs and some new vans for sale that would be advertised on every block in the country, we have a feeling everyone will be listening closely come February 18. We also have a feeling the LeMons series is going to be flooded with Grummans come 2017. News Source: Wall Street Journal, Automotive News - sub.
