Hello. You are checking out a good, heavy duty work truck. It is equipped with a few good additions to make you some money. It is a well taken care of, 2007 Silverado HD-3500 4x4 1 ton single rear wheel, regular cab utility bed pickup truck. It has 139,000 miles on it and I drive it everyday. It is a (2) owner. It has an excellent Stahl utility bed on it with good clean compartments all around. The doors all operate as they should. It has a fully operational Stahl 2,000 pound capacity crane on board. The Crane will turn 360 degrees on it's gear driven base and motor. It will extend out 5 feet as well. The crane winch is also in excellent condition. Both of these are operated by a remote control hand held control which is pictured. This crane will pin into place in three positions and it will fold down and out of the way when not in use. I have it at it's middle work position for these pictures. The truck also features a fully operational Meyers snow plow which is controlled with a hand held pad inside the truck. It is a power angle plow and the plow is in good condition. It could use some paint in a couple of places as pictured. The truck will come with all of it's operational manuals to include the truck, itself, as well as the crane and the snow plow. The truck drives just as good as new with no complaints. It runs well out on the highway and cruising at interstate speeds are effortless. It starts and runs well. It shifts good and stops great. The body on the truck is dent free. The utility bed, itself, has some dings, but is solid. The paint finish is nice as well. The truck is comfortable to drive and I hardly ever get weary in it on long trips. I just recently drove it over 950 miles in a day and 1/2 and it went just great. I just, this week, had (4) new Wild Country XTR semi-lug, 10 ply radial tires installed on it. They boast 55,000 miles of use. They sing slightly, just a bit, but this is a work truck and it will be going off road and in snow, I would assume, so I wanted the best tires that I could locate for it for that purpose. It is important to note that this truck was never, and has never, been used for commercial snow plowing. It was owned by a large company and they used it only for themselves, plowing out entrances to their work stations on a limited basis and it never spread salt of any kind. It was lightly used for this purpose and it shows. Everything on this truck works. All of it's security lights, take down lighting, side lighting and strobe work very well. This truck came from the factory with the snow plow prep package. The 4x4 system works like new. All in all, I think that this truck should be just the ticket, as equipped, for just about any company that needs a heavy duty 4x4 for not a whole lot of cash outlay. The reserve is very reasonable, I feel. I know that I may have missed something along the line, but I have attempted to show you just what you will be getting. If you have a specific question or concern, by all means, just let me know and you will be answered quickly, honestly and most importantly, with the utmost respect. I treat folk's very well......just like they should be. If you need this truck, here it is. It is further important for you to note that while it is fairly nice, and in good, overall condition, it is and has been a work truck and it is not new by any means. Please consider this in your bids. There is no pressure here. If you come to get it and it doesn't appear that I have described it correctly, all you will have to do is walk away with my apology. Take care, thank you for looking and God bless all :)

Hi again. It slipped my mind, but I forgot to mention that I am retired. If you need the truck shipped, I will be here all the time to assist you in any way that you might need to help in getting it loaded or transported. Further, I do not mind driving it to you within reason, say 1,000 miles or so, for the cost of fuel and a rental car home. All options to see that you are satisfied with getting the truck to you are on the table for consideration. Thank you.

On Jul-31-14 at 16:00:27 PDT, seller added the following information:

Thank you to all of the interested bidders and the folk's who have written or called. I appreciate all of your questions and comments concerning this truck. Due to a lot of questions about the reserve price and if it could be purchased before the auctions end, I have decided to offer it as a quick purchase if the interest is there, in an effort to fair and honest to all who have inquired about it. Good luck and thank all you again.

Meet the mother-daughter team that's worked on almost every Chevy Volt

Sun, May 11 2014

It's Mother's Day, and we're soft enough we love our mothers enough to share a new video from General Motors with you. In it, we meet Monique Watson (left) and Evetta Osbourne, a mother-daughter team that works at the Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly where GM makes the Chevy Volt (along with all of GM's other plug-in hybrids: the Opel Ampera, Holden Volt and Cadillac ELR). The two work side-by-side and have installed the lithium-ion battery pack on almost all of those vehicles - nearly 80,000 of them - since GM started making the pre-production Volts in 2009. In a prepared statement, Watson said that she likes working next to her mom, day in and day out, and they the two are totally in sync when it comes to putting the 400-pound, 16.5-kWh packs into the vehicle undersides. They two can also share stories throughout the day, and Watson said, "The arrangement has absolutely improved our relationship." Osborne started working at Detroit-Hamtramck in 1999, Watson since 2006. If you're driving a Volt today, you probably have them to thank for doing a bit of the work putting your car together. See a short video of them in action below. It's Always Mother's Day for Detroit-Hamtramck Duo Mother, daughter install lithium-ion battery pack in nearly all GM electric vehicles 2014-05-08 DETROIT – For Detroit resident Evetta Osborne, every day is Mother's Day. That's because she literally works side by side with her daughter, Monique Watson, at General Motors' Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plant. They have installed the lithium-ion battery pack on nearly every Chevrolet Volt, Opel Ampera, Holden Volt, and Cadillac ELR since production began. In fact, apart from vacation days and an occasional sick day, the mother-daughter duo has installed almost every battery pack since the Volt was in pre-production in 2009. The ELR launched earlier this year. All told – including Ampera – that's more than 80,000 electric vehicles. "We're a good team and our relationship is secondary when it comes to performing our jobs – but it's great to work alongside my daughter, said Osborne, a mother of five. Because the battery packs weigh more than 400 pounds each, automatic guided vehicles – robotic carts that use sensors to follow a path through the plant – deliver them just as the vehicle body structures glide into position overhead. The carts then lift the T-shaped packs, and Osborne and Watson guide them into the chassis and secure each one with 24 fasteners.

Looking back on our favorite cars of Mad Men

Tue, Apr 7 2015

The second half of the seventh and final season of Mad Men debuted this week, set to cap a run of public and critical acclaim. A decade's worth of interesting cars also made for good television, if you were paying attention. Vehicles didn't often steal the spotlight from Don, Betty, Roger, Joan and the gang, but they added meaningfully to the tone and beauty of the series. We sorted through the wheeled extras from Mad Men's archives, and choose some of our favorites to highlight. The list consists of cars that had at least a small impact on the plot of an episode, though certainly there are worthy gems hiding in just about every street and driving scene. Check out our subjective top five, and then let us know which of the Mad Men cars would be on your list. 1962 Cadillac Coupe DeVille – Season 2 Don Draper's Cadillac Coupe DeVille, all 500 feet of it, shows up in a few seasons of the show, but it's the first appearance that sets the tone. A Cadillac salesman, cut from the same cloth as Draper, asks what Don drives right now. "A Dodge," Don admits. "Those are wonderful if you want to get somewhere," allows the salesman, "this is for when you've already arrived." For a man on the move up corporate and social ladders that's a powerful message, and a pitch-perfect car. 1961 Lincoln Continental – Season 3 The most stylish Lincoln Continental ever is perfect set dressing for the mod show, of course. Though it's interesting that the car isn't cast as dapper Draper's ride, but rather his father-in-law's. Grandpa Gene does what all great grandfathers are bound to: lets his granddaughter Sally drive the big Lincoln while he works the pedals. Generational bond secured, in fine fashion. When you go back through the first three seasons of the show, you'll notice that Continentals show up more than once, too. There's nothing quite like them to evoke the best of the early '60s. 1963 John Deere 110 – Season 3 The only non-standard passenger vehicle on the list, no self-respecting gearhead/Mad Men fan should quibble with the inclusion of the John Deere 110 riding mower. For starters, the Deere is lovely to look at; a miniature version of the American Heartland icon in its green and yellow duds. The 110 appears as if milled from a solid block of steel, just the opposite of today's sleek, plasticky lawn minders (we're scouring Craigslist for one to bring home). The John Deere also has dear ramifications to the plot, too.

2019 Toyota Avalon vs. full-size sedans: How they compare on paper

Mon, Apr 23 2018

Full-size sedans aren't exactly in great demand at the moment, and at least one of the vehicles in this comparison has been rumored to be on the endangered species list. Yet, we've just had our first drive in the 2019 Toyota Avalon, and if anything has a chance of rejuvenating the segment a bit, it's an all-new version of what has long been the segment's benchmark. To see how the new Avalon compares, we've put together the below spreadsheet featuring the Avalon's primary apples-to-apples rivals, the Buick LaCrosse and Chevy Impala. We also included the Nissan Maxima, which is comparable in price, sales and non-luxury badge, and which offers the sort of increased driver engagement promised by the new Avalon XSE and Touring trim levels. We also included the outgoing Avalon for reference as well as that car's luxury cousin, the Lexus ES, which can definitely be cross-shopped with the luxuriously trimmed Avalon Limited. You can use our Compare Cars tool to create your own comparison, such as one featuring the rear-wheel-drive Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger or even Kia Stinger. Alright, enough chit chat. On to the spreadsheet. Performance and fuel economy The GM sedans may come standard with four cylinders, including a mild hybrid system in the LaCrosse, but puh-lease. The V6 is the name of the game in this segment, with outputs now surpassing the 300-horsepower mark. The LaCrosse is the horsepower and torque champ, though it also weighs a bit more than the new 2019 Avalon, so acceleration is likely to be comparable. The Impala weighs a lot more and has only a six-speed automatic, so despite having a wee bit more power, one should expect it to be pokier (not a good sign for a car rumored to be on the chopping block). One would expect the Maxima's 300 hp and lowest curb weight to result in the quickest acceleration, but then it's also strapped to a CVT, which despite being better than ever, is still a CVT. Things get worse for Chevy when you consider the Impala's base four-cylinder gets the same 25 mpg combined as the Avalon's V6 — once again a segment best. Now, should you really prioritize fuel economy, the 2019 Toyota Avalon Hybrid really stands out with a 43 mpg rating (or 44 with the base XLE trim) that bests the outgoing Avalon Hybrid. Honestly, after driving this new Hybrid, it actually seems like it would be the best bet for most buyers. There's sufficient power, and it only costs $1,000 more than the comparable V6 version.
