2006 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 on 2040-cars
Brookings, Oregon, United States
2006 Silverado CCLB Dually 6.6L LBZ duramax w 6sp Allison trans and 4x4.
Besides everything listed in conditions and you can see others in pictures. There is on-board firestone air with inside controls. Installed with a B&W turnover ball gooseneck with in-bed electrical connection. Also has holes in bed for 5th wheel. This truck was used to haul but not to its maximum, I.e. travel trailer, and boats. No real rust to speak of from being here in the north west.
6 New tires, new brakes all around, new master cylinder, and new Hydro boost unit. All work done this year in the last 1k miles. I have installed the dual 5" stacks which always intels a hole in the bed to run the y-pipe thru. (I can return to stock and put in plastic bedliner if buyer wishes.) there is still a catalytic converter installed so the exhaust is not loud. With the windows up you can barely hear them inside. There is a new Sinister EGR delete kit on the truck since the factory 1 finally went out, and its cheaper to remove it. Also at this time I added the Edge juice with attitude. nice set of chrome Nerf bars installed and aftermarket wheels.

Anti-purist 1963 Ferrari GTE sports hot rod Chevy V8
Thu, Oct 8 2015I remember reading a story around the time Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift came out. It focused on one of the star cars of that film, a 1967 Ford Mustang fastback that started the film as a shell, and in a pinch, was transformed into a modified masterpiece, complete with the RB26DETT engine from a Nissan Skyline GT-R (which started the film under the hood of an S15 Silvia). There was a genuine (and in our minds, absurd) fear in the article that taking a piece of classic American iron and fitting a twin-turbocharged JDM engine would result in some awful trend in the classic car community. If you thought a GT-R-powered classic Mustang was sacrilege, though, this car will probably make you vomit. For the rest of us, it's a neat piece of engineering. Shown above is a 1963 Ferrari 250 GTE, and yes, that's a 302-cubic-inch, small-block Chevrolet V8 under the hood. On top of that, it uses the six-speed manual transmission from a Viper, a nine-inch Ford rear end, and Mitsubishi-sourced paint. So yeah, it's a FrankenFerrari. Check out Road Heads' interview with this custom GTE's owner, which is followed by a brief test drive. And of course, head into Comments afterwards, and let us know what you think. Is this Yankee-powered 250 GTE blasphemous or badass?
MotorWeek looks back at 1995 Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon
Sat, Jun 20 2015MotorWeek's Retro Review series gives us a nostalgic look back at some of the best sports cars and luxury sedans available in the 1980s and '90s. For its latest clip, the show shifts gears to remember the 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon. Similar to the success of crossovers today, SUVs were tallying big sales and making big money for automakers in the mid-'90s. The Tahoe and Yukon filled slots in the market as steps down from the larger Suburban. These twins weren't wanting for space, though, with plenty of room to haul around a family. MotorWeek came away generally impressed too, and called the models some "of the better riding sport utilities we've ever experienced." This review comes with some jazzy, electric guitar licks to enjoy in the background.
