Available for your consideration is a very nice 2004 Silverado LS crew cab pickup Truck from Texas. This truck has spent its entire life in Texas up until this year. With up to date state inspections. A super clean, rustfree truck that is all original paint with the exception of the cowl induction hood that was installed by a professional Collision repair Company. Baked paint finish matches perfect You will find some dings, chips, scratches and knicks that are typical of a 2004 truck. No rust anywhere. The 6.0L V8 engine runs smooth. Oil always changed on time. Engine compartment is very clean. A very good truck mechanically with no issues...No engine lights, no problems. A great running truck. This truck has been maintained and serviced at my local Chevy dealer. Transmisson is an automatic overdrive that shifts smooth. Has had a recent tranny flush. I had new headlamps installed a few months back, the original were starting to fade. The fog lamp package in the lower air dam is Oem factory that the dealer installed a few months back. This vehicle also has keyless entry with remote start. Two sets of keys and remotes come with the truck. The remote will open and lock the doors and will also start the truck from over a hundred feet away. I had this added at the beginning of the year. A fully equipped LS package truck with cruise control, tilt wheel, ice cold air conditioning, auto temp control, electronic rear view mirror incl outside temp & compass. Power windows, power door locks, factory stereo cd, power mirrors with power folding. Comfortable frt seat with folding console. Rear seating is spacious and folds up for storage. Electronic brake control with a Reese hitch and round plug. This truck tows just about anything with little or no effort. This truck is equipped with a tow package. A very well maintained vehicle that is serviced and maintained on a regular basis. This truck is kept up as good as anyone would take care of a vehicle. If this vehicle had a need it was always taken care of immediately. I purchased it from a close friend and if I did not have a need for a dually it would never be for sale. Typical of Silverado trucks the speedometer was not working properly so it was sent out and calibrated by a professional company. There is a mileage discrepency on this vehicle it occured either during theTexas state inspection with them recording wrong mileage or possible during cluster replacement. I really think a mistake ws made during inspection. The truck shows 106K but it is possible it is 126K either way this truck looks, runs and drives like 40k. The truck shows 106 and is being sold with an Ohio title marked 106K. I would stand behind this vehicle 150% it is truly a wonderful vehicle. I have a clean car fax that comes with the truck. A two owner vehicle. This is a very quiet running truck. Tool box on the truck does not come with it. The inside is spacious and odor free this truck will hold 6 people with comfort. The drivers mirror was replaced at one time and does not have lighted turn arrow. Also there are a few small chips in the windshield, not real visable but there. The interior looks real nice with few blemishes if you look close and nit pick..Inside this truck is odor free. Inside the truck has held up well for a ten year old vehicle. A very comfortable truck to run & drive. Outside the paint shines great!!! Chrome really shows off against the burgandy paint. The tires are all Cooper ten ply tires. These are top of the line Cooper tires. Front tires are about 7 months old and had the Chevy dealer do a wheel alignment when they installed them. The rear tires are about at 50% +... Brakes are in good shape with no issues. No shakes or shimmys when applying the brakes. Stops great. I kept this truck maintained. Really a nice truck that runs great. Would well be worth you taking the time to look at this truck and inspect it personally to insure your confidence in bidding. Trucks like this are hard to come by. I welcome this vehicle to be inspected personally or professionally by anyone before the auction end. I have listed 24 pictures of this vehicle so you can examine these pictures and form your own opinion of condition and value. I have a clear Ohio title ready t transfer. If you have any questions at all please feel free to contact me about this vehicle. I am selling this truck No Reserve to the highest bidder. If your in need of a truck and can not wait for the auction to end the sale price is $8900.00 with an immediate deposit. I am not willing to bend otherwise take your chance on the no reserve and let the highest bidder win. This truck was previously owned by my friend who moved up here from Texas...A straight up very nice rustfree truck that runs and drives like new... No leaks..No issues... No Problems...Great Truck!!! Hate to sell but to do different needs I must sell this truck. You will be very pleased!!! Thanks for viewing...

NHTSA approves hybrid rearview mirror display in Cadillac CT6, Bolt EV
Tue, Feb 23 2016The Chevy Bolt EV prototype doesn't just have a fancy new all-electric powertrain. Just outside the driver's line of sight is a newfangled rearview mirror, one that can turn into a screen that shows a moving image from the rear-facing camera. Speaking to NPR's Robert Siegel yesterday, Department of Transportation secretary Anthony Foxx said that NHTSA has now approved this type of mirror/screen for use in vehicles. According to a letter from NHTSA to General Motors, GM will likely use this Full Display Mirror first in the 2016 Cadillac CT6 before coming to the Bolt. In its letter to GM, NHTSA said that the Full Display Mirror will only qualify as a standard rearview mirror as long as there are normal side mirrors in place. In other words, don't expect to see cameras and screens replacing all the mirrors in a motor vehicle just yet. @AutoblogGreen @NPR - #NHTSA has OK'd GM rear-view system that can switch between mirror & camera views. pic.twitter.com/6CBeIit10v — Anthony Foxx (@SecretaryFoxx) February 22, 2016 The Full Display Mirror was developed by Gentex, which has long worked with GM. The FDM debuted in 2014 and some people hoped it would also make its way into the Tesla Model X. Gentex, which also makes auto-dimming mirrors, says that it has "set out to develop the technologies and core competencies necessary to manage this evolution of the rearview mirror." The Chevy Bolt EV will start at $37,500, before incentives. The 200-mile EV will go into production late this year for likely sale in early 2017. Related Video:
Editors' Picks August 2021 | Honda Civic, Mercedes S-Class and more
Thu, Sep 9 2021This month of Editors' Picks saw us award the honor to a couple of redesigned stalwarts like the Honda Civic and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Plus, a new crossover that splits the difference between the compact and subcompact class takes home the prize. On top of this, we'll introduce you to a new term: midcompact. We'll be using this to describe those in-between crossovers that are a tad too small to be considered compact, but too large to neatly fit into the subcompact class. For a few examples of these "midcompact" cars, we'll point you to the Ford Bronco Sport, Kia Seltos and VW Seltos. In case you missed our previous Editors' Picks posts, here’s a quick refresher on whatÂ’s going on here. We rate all the new cars we drive with a 1-10 score. Cars that are exemplary in their respective segments get EditorsÂ’ Pick status. Those are the ones weÂ’d recommend to our friends, family and anybody whoÂ’s curious and asks the question. The list that youÂ’ll find below consists of every car we rated in August that earned an EditorsÂ’ Pick. 2021 Genesis G70 2022 Genesis G70 View 26 Photos Quick take: Genesis hits all the right buttons with its G70. It's attractive, fun to drive and can be had for a fair price. Enthusiasts should give it a shot before taking home one of its German competitors. Score: 8 What it competes with: Alfa Romeo Giulia, Lexus IS, Acura TLX, Infiniti Q50, Audi A4, BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Cadillac CT4, Volvo S60 Pros: Sharp handler, stunning exterior looks, strong engines Cons: Average interior, loses manual option, small backseat and trunk From the editors: News Editor Joel Stocksdale — "I was already a big fan of the Genesis G70. It has brilliant handling, and the twin-turbo V6 is a beast. It's even a bargain against the competition. And Genesis just made it look a lot better. I wish they'd done a bit more to update the interior, but it's still not a bad cabin. Besides, you won't think too much about it when you're hustling down a fun back road." Features Editor James Riswick — "Yes, it is small, but in a sport sedan segment where "sport" means increasingly less, the G70 still delivers (in part because of that smallness).
Here are a few of our automotive guilty pleasures
Tue, Jun 23 2020It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway. The world is full of cars, and just about as many of them are bad as are good. It's pretty easy to pick which fall into each category after giving them a thorough walkaround and, more important, driving them. But every once in a while, an automobile straddles the line somehow between good and bad — it may be hideously overpriced and therefore a marketplace failure, it may be stupid quick in a straight line but handles like a drunken noodle, or it may have an interior that looks like it was made of a mess of injection-molded Legos. Heck, maybe all three. Yet there's something special about some bad cars that actually makes them likable. The idea for this list came to me while I was browsing classified ads for cars within a few hundred miles of my house. I ran across a few oddballs and shared them with the rest of the team in our online chat room. It turns out several of us have a few automotive guilty pleasures that we're willing to admit to. We'll call a few of 'em out here. Feel free to share some of your own in the comments below. Dodge Neon SRT4 and Caliber SRT4: The Neon was a passably good and plucky little city car when it debuted for the 1995 model year. The Caliber, which replaced the aging Neon and sought to replace its friendly marketing campaign with something more sinister, was panned from the very outset for its cheap interior furnishings, but at least offered some decent utility with its hatchback shape. What the two little front-wheel-drive Dodge models have in common are their rip-roarin' SRT variants, each powered by turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. Known for their propensity to light up their front tires under hard acceleration, the duo were legitimately quick and fun to drive with a fantastic turbo whoosh that called to mind the early days of turbo technology. — Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski Chevrolet HHR SS: Chevy's HHR SS came out early in my automotive journalism career, and I have fond memories of the press launch (and having dinner with Bob Lutz) that included plenty of tire-smoking hard launches and demonstrations of the manual transmission's no-lift shift feature. The 260-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder was and still is a spunky little engine that makes the retro-inspired HHR a fun little hot rod that works quite well as a fun little daily driver.
