Both resulted from a piece of pipe that flew up driving down the road. The tailgate has a small scratch and tiny dent in the bottom right corner but its hardly noticeable. There are some rock chips behind the front tires where the mud grips throw rock on gravel but hardly noticeable as well. Center console is cracked but the compartment door still opens and closes perfectly well. The passenger side front fender flare at the very bottom close to the tire has turned off white/yellow. However, these plastic pieces are very easily replaceable. Little bit of paint chipped off right at the driver side front door handle."

Up for sale is a 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD Duramax diesel 4X4. It has a 12 inch lift and sits on 35x12.5 R20 Toyo mud grip tires (65%) and 20" XD Monster Rims. This truck comes equipped with lots of extras.  Performance wise, a 225 HP PPE programmer with 5 settings, turbo and pyrometer gauges that are not currently hooked up, and a 6 inch Silverline exhaust tip.  Audio and video upgrades include an in-dash Power Acoustix touchscreen flip-down DVD player with remote control and a Mobile Dynamic Xtreme (MDX15) screen for the backseat.  This truck also has two 10" JL Audio subs and a Power Acoustik 820 amp. Underneath the Tractor Supply toolbox sits a 45 gallon auxiliary tank that feeds directly into the factory tank, allowing the truck to hold 70 gallons of fuel at one time.

This truck is very mechanically sound with lots of extra power and black smoke that comes with the programmer depending on which setting you desire.  You can expect to get between 12-15 mpg once again it all depends on how high the truck is turned up.  All service and maintenance done personally in my shop.

Only reason for selling, I'm starting Veterinary School in the fall and I need extra income for school.

If you purchase at the "buy it now" price, I will throw in the spare set of 20" MB Motorsports rims that sit on 44" mud tires absolutely FREE!

General Motors shaking up its marketing... again

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

One of the things that dogs the full comeback of General Motors is the instability of its marketing. That part of the automaker got yet another big shakeup today when GM confirmed what I have been tweeting for a few days - strong rumors that the Chevrolet and Cadillac ad accounts are walking to new ad agencies.
Cadillac, GM's luxury brand, is going into review from Fallon Worldwide, Minneapolis and the indications are that Campbell-Ewald, Chevy's old ad shop, will end up with most or all of it. C-E just announced that it was moving from its long-time home in Warren, MI to a new downtown Detroit office next to Ford Field, just blocks from GM.
The other shoe to drop shortly will be the shift of GM's most important brand, Chevy, from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners of San Francisco to McCann-Erickson of Troy, MI. McCann used to be the agency for Buick and GMC, as well as GM's corporate advertising, and has retained some pieces of business over the last few years. Sources have even told us that it was McCann that did a lot of the creative work on Chevy's new ad platform, Find New Roads. (Not to be confused with a former McCann tagline for Saab, "Find Your Own Road.")

Next-gen GMC Sierra spied with diesel power

Tue, Sep 5 2017

The next generation of GM trucks is arriving soon, and we're expecting a huge leap forward over the current lineup. The Chevy Silverado and the GMC SIerra sell extremely well, but haven't done much to move the segment forward in a long time. The Ford F-150 has an all-aluminum body and turbocharged V6 power. The Ram 1500 gained a diesel and coil spring suspension. These spy shots show that diesel may be in the cards for GM. Some quick shots and copious use of flash show what is most likely a tank for diesel exhaust fluid and a diesel particulate filter, both necessary equipment for any modern diesel. It's unclear what form factor that engine will come in, though GM has a number of engines to choose from, including the 2.8-liter inline four that's found in the Colorado and Canyon, though that may be a little light duty for the Silverado and Sierra. Other rumors surrounding the trucks suggest a move to an aluminum cab while retaining a steel bed. That seems like a reasonable move for GM, even if the company was attempting to shame Ford for its move to aluminum a few years ago. Look for more news as early as the Detroit Auto Show in January. 2014 Chevrolet Silverado tows in new configurator, microsite

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

Judging by your continued enthusiastic response to configurator notices, dear reader, you enjoy speccing out new cars as much as we do. Better still, there tends to be even more ways to personalize, configure and bloat theoretical MSRPs on full-size trucks as there are with more ordinary passenger cars. In addition to trim level, engine and transmission choices, truck buyers usually have to specify items like cab configuration, bed length, number of driven axles, tow packages, gear ratios and all sorts of bits and bobs.
That's why we're pleased to see the DIY specification utility for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado come alive so soon after this week's Detroit Auto Show debut. While the configurator lacks pricing (General Motors hasn't announced numbers yet) and full options, you can still spec out your half-ton rig, and even print it out or email it to your friends. Beyond the configurator, the new model-specific site is pretty cool, too, with various videos and closer looks at the truck's new features.
The new Chevrolet pickup range won't be on dealer lots until sometime this summer, so whether you're a building contractor, an avid sportsman or just a guy or gal that loves full-size trucks, you might want to check out the link below to keep your appetite whetted. If you're more of a Sierra fan, well, it looks like you're going to have to wait a while - GMC hasn't updated its site yet.
