2002 Chevrolet 2500 HD Diesel.  Owned by me since new.  The camper is a Tracker made by Fleetwood Travel Trailer of Oregon, Inc.  It is hard to determine the year manufactured.  It is somewhere around 1998 or 1999.  It was bought used and used very little.  Totally self-contained.  When I parked it everything worked including the air-conditioning.  I have not recently hooked it to electrical power to check it's condition.  5FB6TB802W2370738 is its vin number.  I do not have a title for the camper since it is not licensed in La.  I will provide a bill of sale.  Stable Lift unit attached the camper to the truck.  Electrically operated with lift jacks.  Very stable one man on and off.  It costs approximately $3000.00.  Truck is in very good condition.  It need a cleaning inside and out.  Truck has a bed liner and Hyperteck power programer.  I have it set on one basically used to allow for one size bigger tires.  Three practically new tires and one worn tire.  Wheels are aftermarket and are pitted and in need of new center caps.  I have the original bumper and wheels/tires which will go with the truck.  Warn bumper, auxiliary lights and Warn 12000 lb. winch.  Winch never used.  Truck has never been in snow (entire life in Louisiana) and rarely driven in four wheel drive.  It was involved in a minor finder bender in December of 2002 which did no damage to the truck.  Tailgate has dent from an unhinged trailer.  Son-in-law deal.  Two gun rack mounted inside cab top.  Everything works on the truck but the passenger side rear door window cannot be activated at the drivers door.  Seat are like new I don't believe the back seat was ever sat in.  Non-Smoker.  Side steps and after market lighted ($600) mirrors.  Selling because wife died and no need for the truck/camper.  Located in Baton Rouge local pick-up only.  Additional questions or pictures can be emailed via Ebay.

GM cutting Chevy Sonic, Buick Verano production by more than 20%

Sat, Jun 13 2015

General Motors' Orion Assembly plant in Michigan is seeing even more production cuts this year to further reduce inventories of the Chevrolet Sonic and Buick Verano. These latest adjustments mean layoffs for about 100 workers in phases starting in July. "GM Orion Assembly will adjust plant production capacity to better align with market demand," the company said in a statement announcing the change. Through May, sales of the Sonic are down 28.5 percent to 29,082 vehicles, and the Verano is off 15.6 percent, with 15,279 sold this year. According to unnamed plant insiders speaking to Automotive News, the assembly rate is slowing at Orion Assembly from the current 33 cars an hour down to 26 an hour, a 21-percent reduction. GM is also reportedly going to keep the plant idle for three weeks during the normal summer shutdown, rather than the usual two. Earlier in the year, the factory was idled for two weeks due to excess supply of the Sonic and Verano. In March, it was closed again for several days for the same reason. The Orion Assembly plant is the future home to the line for the Chevy Bolt EV. GM Statement: GM Orion Assembly will adjust plant production capacity to better align with market demand. A phased layoff of approximately 100 employees will begin in July 2015 and conclude by year-end. Auto sales in March and first quarter down nearly across the board

Wed, Apr 3 2019

Nearly every major automaker reported weak U.S. sales for March and the first quarter of 2019, citing a rough start to the year, but said a robust economy and strong labor market should encourage consumers to buy more vehicles as 2019 rolls on. GM, which no longer releases monthly sales figures, saw first-quarter sales fall 7 percent, with declines across all brands. Sales of Silverado pickup trucks fell nearly 16 percent and the high-margin Chevy Suburban large SUV dropped 25 percent. Ford also no longer releases monthly sales numbers, but is due to release its first-quarter sales figures on Thursday. According to industry data, Ford's sales fell 2 percent in the quarter and 5 percent in March. Ford representatives did not immediately respond to requests for comment. FCA reported a 7 percent fall in U.S. sales in March and a 3 percent drop for the first quarter. All of FCA's brands dropped in March, except for Ram, which saw a 15 percent increase in pickup truck sales. "The industry had a tough first quarter, but with spring finally starting to show its face and continued strong economic indicators ... we are confident that new vehicle sales demand will strengthen going forward," FCA's U.S. head of sales, Reid Bigland, said in a statement. Toyota reported a 3.5 percent fall in U.S. sales in March and 5 percent for the first quarter, hurt by declining demand for its Corolla sedans and Camry vehicles. "While some of our competitors are abandoning sedans, we remain optimistic about the future of the segment," Toyota said in a statement. Nissan posted a 5.3 percent drop in sales in March, and its first-quarter sales were down 11.6 percent. Honda and Hyundai bucked the trend. Honda's U.S. sales rose 4.3 percent in March and 2 percent in the quarter, while Hyundai's were up 1.7 percent and 2.1 percent, respectively. Passenger-car sales suffered throughout the January-March quarter compared with the same period in 2018 as Americans continued to abandon them in favor of larger, more comfortable pickup trucks and SUVs, which are far more profitable for automakers. The battle for market share in the particularly lucrative large-pickup truck market intensified in the quarter, as Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' Ram brand outsold the U.S.' No. 1 automaker General Motors' Chevrolet-brand trucks. The two automakers have both launched redesigned pickup trucks.

Use this PowerPoint when convincing your spouse to let you buy a Corvette

When you are not the one in charge of the purse strings, creativity is a must when trying to get the string-holder to bankroll that next shiny object you just can't live without.
When I was a kid, I decided that life wasn't worth living if it weren't in pursuit of owning a GMC Typhoon. My 12-year-old self crafted a fiscal strategy that, when combined with my offer of a 49-percent share of ownership in the car in return for my parents' contribution of 80-percent of the purchase price, would see me behind the wheel of a Typhoon by the time I hit college. They walked away from the negotiating table and, the economic climate of the 8th grade being what it was at the time, another partner wasn't found before the Typhoon was discontinued.
Roy El-Rayes, however, has succeeded where 12-year-old me failed, and he did it by using the sort of professionalism that only a PowerPoint presentation can provide, along with some humor and bold-faced flattery.
