Quite Possibly one of the LOWEST MILEAGE, Cleanest  2006 Silverado 2500 HD Turbo Diesel 4X4's on the planet. Only 7403 original miles on this 1 owner truck. This truck is like a museum piece. Absolutely immaculate in every way.  As close to a brand new truck as you can get. You will not find a nicer truck anywhere. Still has the new truck smell.  Duramax Turbo Diesel engine provides amazing power with 360HP and a mind blowing 650 ft lbs of torque. The Super Tough Allison Transmission is built to handle all of that torque.  It has the top of the line LT3 Trim Package which gives you every available option including OnStar, Gorgeous Leather seats, Premium Bose Sound System, Power Seats, Power Moon Roof,  Rear seat climate vents, Towing Package with class 3 trailer hitch and all the bells & whistles. Both the Exterior and the Interior of this truck are in amazing, virtually perfect condition. You will have to look long and hard to find any flaws whatsoever. Original Sticker Price was $49,605, plus all of the Dealer installed Options listed below, which totaled another $12,000 on top of the original sticker price. Total original cost of this vehicle before sales taxes and Warranties was $62,000. Kelly Blue Book gives this truck a Private Party Value of almost $41K, in excellent condition (which no one can dispute) and that doesn't include many of the extras on this truck. KBB Retail value is $45K. If you paid for the extras this truck has, you would be getting the truck for $28k. I have the Original Window sticker, so you can see that the following options were not included in that price. In addition, I have all of the original books and manuals as well as the headphones and remote control for the DVD system.

$12K worth of Dealer Installed Options include:

6 Inch Professionally Installed lift Kit

Brand New Billstein Shocks

Brand New 20 inch ProComp Extreme Chrome Wheel & Tire Package

DVD Headrest Package with DVD players & Screens in both headrests. Very Kid friendly.

Westin Billet Bumper Guard with Fog Lights

Beautiful Billet Grill

Chromed Billet Bug Deflector

Chrome Running Boards

Chrome Door Sills

Diamond Plated Tool Box

Bed Extender

The truck has been in a climate controlled warehouse for the last couple years. It hadn't been started for a few months, and when I went to start the truck, the batteries were dead, and wouldn't be charged, so I had to install 2 brand new batteries a couple days ago. The original wheels were needing to be polished, and I didn't want to hold back selling the truck to get them polished, so I bought the beautiful new 20 inch ProComp wheels & tires you see on the truck now. I will polish and sell the old ones separately. In addition, the original Billstein shocks were showing some surface rust, so I replaced those as well with brand new ones. There was nothing wrong with the old ones, and the dealer thought I was nuts, which I probably am, but that is how particular I am with my vehicles. There will be no disappointments with this vehicle. It is basically a brand new Custom truck, just needing a new owner. Please take a look at all of the pictures and you will see just how special this truck is. The first time I listed this truck, we got very close. I had  a ton of interest with many emails and offers, just not quite there. Come on people, you know you want this truck and you know it's worth every penny. Don't let somebody else get it!!!

WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO FIND ANOTHER TRUCK LIKE THIS WITH ONLY 7400 MILES?

I welcome inspections of this truck if you are local, or by a certified mechanic if out of town. I have nothing to hide!!!

If you wanted to buy a 2013 version of this truck set up with everything that is on this one it would probably cost about $75,000. I'm offering this virtually brand new truck at no reserve with an opening bid of $40,000. Last Bid wins this Awesome Truck.

Note: The pictures were taken on a very bright sunny day and there are some glares and shadows present. Any light spots or dark spots you see in the pictures are the result of sunlight, shade & reflections. There are zero flaws or discoloration of any kind on any of the interior or exterior panels.

This vehicle is being sold "As Is" with no warranties written or implied.

A $500 non refundable deposit is required via PayPal within 48hrs of the end of the auction. Full payment is required within 7 days of the end of the auction. The truck will not be released under any circumstances until full payment has been cleared through my bank if made by Certified check or Wire Transfer. There will be no exceptions!!!

The logistics and costs of shipping this vehicle will be the responsibility of the buyer. The vehicle can be picked up locally in the city of Jacksonville Florida.

Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.

GM announces net 220 job increase as Trump visits Michigan

Wed, Mar 15 2017

GM announced today that about 900 jobs would be added (or, importantly, retained) ahead of President Trump's arrival in Michigan, where he is expected to discuss his plan to roll back fuel economy standards. The timing of the announcement is almost certainly not coincidental, as appending it to a Trump visit gives it a higher profile and dovetails with the President's jobs agenda. It's less likely the decision itself was made for those reasons, but the free PR boost is a nice bonus. As for those 900 jobs themselves, they aren't all new jobs. The only net gain is approximately 220 jobs at the Romulus Powertrain Plant, which produces the 10-speed automatic transmission that's proliferating through the company's lineup. The 180 jobs at Flint Assembly and 500 jobs at Lansing Delta Township are retained jobs – that is to say, spots the company found for workers who would otherwise have been laid off. By the way, the Flint jobs will help with production of heavy-duty pickups, and the Lansing jobs are to produce the Chevrolet Traverse and Buick Enclave. Finding jobs for manufacturing workers in the auto sector, whether new or retained, is admirable. No matter how GM couches it, the company has created or retained a total of 7,000 jobs this year, and its total reinvestment in US production is around $1 billion. But these decisions are business ones, not political ones – timing the announcements to make them seem inspired by economic policy, or the political situation, is simply smart PR. Plug In 2014: VIA makes the case for 'free' plug-in hybrid work vans, trucks

Fri, Aug 1 2014

If you're a fleet manager who's been waiting anxiously for the chance to buy a plug-in hybrid van from Via Motors, your wait is almost over. If you work for the right fleet, anyway. David West, the chief marketing efficer for VIA Motors, took AutoblogGreen for a ride around the San Jose Convention Center in a Via van sporting an Electric Blue paint job as part of the Plug In 2014 Conference this week and gave us an update on how things are coming along. The big news is that the Via PHEV van production is going to start by the end of September. Via can currently build two vans an hour at its production plant in Mexico, or about 16 a day and could easily double that. "That would get us to 20,000 a year with two full lines running," West said. "We have the capacity." "There is no way gas can compete with electric." – David West, Via Motors But they can't sell that many quite yet. By the end of December, around 350 Vans will be made, mostly for a $20-million program from the Department of Energy (DOE) and the South Coast Air Quality Management District that will see the vehicles used by fleets that will report energy data to the Idaho National Lab. Via is also finishing up CARB certification for both the van and the company's plug-in hybrid pick-up truck. About 50 percent of Via's technology in the truck will not need to be tested again, since it's the same as what's in the van, but things like crash tests will need to be done twice. Despite the progress, this is not where Via hoped it would be today. The bankruptcy of battery supplier A123, "took about a year off our timeline," West said. "It's been getting a little slow getting it to market, there have been some challenges, particuarly since we had the country's worst recession right in the middle of this wrap up, but it's inevitable in my mind. There is no way gas can compete with electric." Maybe that's why FedEx has expressed an interest in buying around 5,000 units, West said. FedEx already has some pilot vehicles, just like Verizon does, and PG&E wants to replace all of their gas trucks with electric vehicles, which would be another 3,000 sales, he said. Besides the fuel savings, vehicles like these, with easy on-site power generation, could also work wonders in post-disaster situations, he said, since they could replace the need for generators.
