It has plenty of Arizona Pinstriping but runs STRONG! See description for more details."

I purchased this truck in 2008 and we have primarily used it as our Camping, Gold Prospecting & Exploring/Off-Roading vehicle. We have loved the years with it and will miss it a lot!

We are selling the truck to raise money for both our growing family and our growing business! We own a Gold Prospecting equipment shop in Quartzsite, AZ and are hoping to have nearly 400 of our products on eBay by the end of July and begin work on our .com site as well! We also are looking at possibly growing into a larger store so that we can increase our product offerings. We also found out that we have another baby on the way! Money from selling this truck will 100% go towards these goals!

Enough about us, MORE ABOUT THE TRUCK!

You are bidding on a Lifted 2003 Chevrolet Silverado Extended Cab 4x4 with the 5.3L V8 engine. It also has a K&N Air Intake! The lift is 6" and the tires are 35" Nitto Dune Grapplers and comes with a full size spare rim & tire. We have set the reserve price at the lowest amount that we can afford to take and feel that it is a more than reasonable price!

In my opinon, this is the perfect truck for somebody who enjoys exploring or off-roading and isn't afraid to add a little pinstriping to their vehicle and fun to their life! The engine runs STRONG and it rides very smooth for being a lifted truck. The steering is very responsive and many of the common wear items such as the pitman & idler arms have been recently replaced. This truck also has a brand new battery in it. We have also recently had the tires balanced and an alignment done.

That being said, we have done out best to keep this truck in good shape. It is very important to us however that we disclose all problems that we are aware of that you may or may not want to address once you are the new owner....

FIRST - Although the exterior has never been into an accident, it has had many run ins with overgrowth and narrow trails and thus has more than its fair share of Arizona Pin-striping (scratches) as you should be able to tell by the photos! These will not buff out!

SECOND
- There are spots on the exterior, mostly on the roof that have lost their clearcoat. Photos depict this clearly

THIRD - The interior is about a 6 or 7 out of 10 and the AC blows COLD! There is 1 burn mark from the previous owner on the passenger seat but it's very small. There is typical scuffing from baby seats and booster seats and all of those lovely things we deal with when we have kids, but it is not bad at all. Again, the photos illustrate this very well. The front passenger seat "handle" area on the dashboard has 2 small areas where the dash paint is peeling and one small piece of foam is missing. This is all the way it was when we bought the truck, so I do not expect it to get any worse unless it is abused. Carpet has no tears and is in good overall shape.

FOURTH - Mechanically, the truck runs outstanding! There is a leak near the transfer case that has been there a while, but 2 mechanics have told me that it is a seal that needs replacing. The leak is very slow and the residue you see in the photo has accumulated over time as we have not put many miles on this truck in the last year. One of the rear shocks is also leaking and should be replaced. This is a pretty inexpensive job and I would have done it if it had not just happened.

FIFTH - The premium sound sounds great through the Bose speakers, the radio works as does the cassette, but the stock CD player does not function. I have seen used replacement identical units for very inexpensive.

This truck is being sold AS IS. We have disclosed what we know about it and sincerely hope that you enjoy it as much as we did!

SHIPPING - If you are unable to pick the truck up and prefer it to be delivered, this can be done (within a few hundred miles)! You the buyer would be responsible for reasonable expenses (fuel, etc...) for us to personally deliver it to you, paid in advance once the agreement is made. Bear in mind that the truck would be driven and the mileage would change!

THANK YOU so much for checking out this listing!
PLEASE don't hesitate to let us know if you have any questions!
HAPPY BIDDING!

These are the five most ridiculous attacks on the Chevy Volt [w/videos]

Thu, Aug 7 2014

It's been a long, strange trip for the Chevy Volt from the time when the now-odd-looking concept version (above) was introduced at the 2007 Detroit Auto Show to today. And now, General Motors announced that the second-generation Chevy Volt will make an appearance at the 2015 Detroit show in January. This debut represents a victory for GM with what has easily become the most politicized car of the 21st Century. There are plenty of reasons for someone to criticize the Volt, but what's amazing is just how much anti-Volt energy has been spent not on things like the styling or how the EREV setup is not as efficient as a pure-EV powertrain. As we wait for more official information on the new Volt, we thought it would be fun to go back and look at some of the most wildly incorrect reporting and strangest attacks on the Volt from the archives. There is so much good stuff out there, it was hard to pare the list down, but these are our five favorites. Amazingly, they're not all clips from Fox News. Check 'em out below. 5. GM Is Going To Stop Making The Chevy Volt In The US Do you remember when GM was about to move Volt production to China? Well, yeah, this was reported back in early 2012 when a GM executive mentioned that the automaker would get benefits of building the Volt in the places where it sells them. This was spun into a story of GM taking Obama bailout money and then running to China. The Blaze was not happy: "Given the fact that Federal government helped itself to millions and millions of taxpayer dollars under the pretense that it was going to combat high unemployment by creating 'green jobs,' it would seem that moving research and development (and possibly manufacturing) overseas is slightly, well, counterproductive." Well, of course, that never happened. There's no way to say that GM will never build a version of the Volt in China, but the news we hear rumors of these days is that GM is going to move production of more Volt parts (specifically, the motors) to Michigan from overseas. 4. The Chevy Volt Is A Fire Trap There has never been a Volt that just spontaneously lit up while driving down the road. Yes, there were Volts that caught on fire. Yes, that's a scary thing. But there has never been a Volt that just spontaneously lit up while driving down the road. These were crashed test vehicles with destroyed batteries and plugged-in vehicles that were not the cause.

2015 Chevrolet Trax

Thu, Dec 4 2014

After the obligatory product presentation for the 2015 Trax, I caught up with Steve Majoros, Chevrolet's director of marketing for crossovers and cars, and asked him to elaborate on which markets his planners believe will be the hot starters for this tiny CUV. Without much hesitation, Majoros began to click off traditional sales havens for Subaru, namely, New England and the snowy bits of the East Coast, Colorado and the Pacific Northwest. That news might not surprise you, but it did me. Perhaps it's something as basic as the Trax's tall-hatchback looks, or the emphasis Chevrolet put on the urban driving cycle during my test in San Diego. But before my chat with Majoros, I'd considered this a crossover pointed at the Millennial city mouse more than his bumpkin cousin. But a closer look had me re-examining the granola cred of Chevy's smallest crossover. Having spent my fair share of time in New England and around New Englanders, I started by mentally listing the Trax's Subaru-like traits: practicality, thrift, all-weather ability and, well, just a dash of ugliness. (I suppose a hatchback needn't always be ugly to sell in Maine, or Boulder or Portland... but a 'distinctive' face doesn't seem to hurt.) After a day of driving through sunny San Diego and its surroundings, I can say that Trax makes an interesting case for itself against the standard bearers of the L.L. Bean set, but I'm less sure of its argument for young urbanites. The Trax looks a lot like an Equinox whose suit shrunk in the wash. Chevy's has downsized its own, rather conservative crossover styling to fit the proportions of the subcompact Trax; to my eyes, it looks a lot like an Equinox whose suit shrunk in the wash. That's fine for offering a cohesive look for the Chevy family of crossovers, but it seems out of step with the rest of the segment. If the Trax's current competitive set were the cast of a high school-based TV show, the Kia Soul would play the lovable nerd, the Nissan Juke perhaps the outsider musician and the Subaru XV Crosstrek the athletic outdoorsy kid. Chevy may see the Trax as the hipster chick wearing intentionally ironic mom jeans, but to me the styling is a little too on the nose; more like an actual grownup trying to hang with the kids. These mom jeans are genuine. Per my earlier point, that quasi-conservative look may be just fast enough for staid New Englanders, but I have a hard time seeing the bluff, big-Bowtied front end playing in Bushwick or Wicker Park.
