I have decided to sell my AWESOME 2008 Chevy 1 Owner 4X4 LTZ Z71 Black Lifted Monster Truck. I do not in anyway have to sell this truck. If your looking for a Fire Sale, look elsewhere. All modifications have been done by Professionals. Mainly 4 Wheel Parts Coppell, TX. I don't think there is much else that could even be done. I will try to list all of the adds to this truck and can provide further information upon request. This is my baby and I would be sad to let it go. I have over $50K in upgrades. There are normal wear and tear scratches but minimal. Only one to note is pictured where the Snug Top rubbed on the fender. No Dents, No Wrecks.

Here We Go...

This truck started as life as a Dallas bought Chevy 1500 LTZ Z71 4X4. The day it was bought I had it delivered to 4 Wheel Parts Coppell. The truck has never left the state of Texas. There they added:

8" Pro Comp Lift

Pro Comp Skid Plate

20"  Moto Gear Rims with 35's

Air Raid Filtration System

AMP Research Powered Steps

Painted to Match Snug Top with Locks

I then took it and had a Full 3m Clear Bra installed. They wrapped the Hood, Mirrors and Door Cups

After That, I took it to a local Car Audio Store and had a custom Silverado under the seat sub box with 2- 10" MTX woofers, MTX Amp for Subs and Separate Amp for Highs, Changed out the Tweeters, Dynomatted the whole truck, Installed Base Control Knob in Storage Box, iPod Dock and Back up Camera. It also has a DVD Player but I never really used it and condition at this time is unknown.

I drove the truck around like that for 5 years. As you can see, not many miles. Year to Date 70K.

Wanting to take it to the next level, I dropped 15k at Texas Truxx in upgrades this year which include:

going to 37" Toyo MT Open Country Tires with less than 200 miles on them.

Road Armor Front and Rear Bumpers

Front Bumper Cree 30" LED Light Bar, KC Fog Lights and Smitty Built Winch with Composite Tow Cable and Red Locking Shackle

Rear Bumper had to see the removal of the Back up sensors from the Factory Bumper which makes a Park Assist Off message on the screen when started. Could be disabled at Chevy Service.

Smitty Built Roof Rack with Cree LED Light Bar1- 50", 5-20". All individually controlled from Ceiling Cluster Switches Pictured.

Bushmaster Painted to Match Fender Flares

Chevy Logo LED Lights when doors are opened at night and shine on the ground. (They added those for free cause they thought they were cool)

LED Front Headlights

LED Rear Taillights

Smoked Roof Taillight Cover

and Metal X Front Grill.

With the Bigger Tires I took the truck to HPP and had it Dyno Tested, Replaced Spark Plugs and Tuned. All oil changes have been full synthetic. This thing gets washed regulary and has been babied.

I think this is all but like I said, there is so much I might have missed something. A $500 deposit is due upon sale. Payment due with in 72 hours with either certified funds or cash. I have Texas title in hand. Let me know if you want to see it in person and we can arrange that. This is an awesome truck. Thumbs up at all the stop lights. Good Luck.

Chevy Volt sales drop in June, Nissan Leaf inches upwards

Tue, Jul 1 2014

Different month, same story. That's the gist of the monthly US sales numbers from the Chevy Volt and the Nissan Leaf. These were the first two mass-market plug-in vehicles to go on sale in the US and we've been comparing their sales numbers for what seems like ages now. So far, the 2014 tale of the tape shows the all-electric once again trumping the plug-in hybrid. The last time the Volt outsold the Leaf was in October 2013. Chevrolet sold 1,777 Volts in June. That was good enough to be the Volt's best sales month of the year, but it's down 34 percent from the 2,698 units sold in June 2013. In fact, it's on par with the 1,760 Volts sold in June 2012. Given the steady sales, General Motors might need to push up the release of the next-gen Volt to gin up excitement, especially if it also offers some of the things that current Volt drivers say they want improved: more range, a lower price and a fifth seat. GM also said it sold 85 Spark EVs in June, an increase of 215 percent over June 2013 Nissan sold 2,347 Leafs last month. The good news continues for Nissan, which says it sold 2,347 Leafs last month. That's an increase of 5.5 percent over 2013 numbers and makes 2014 the best June ever for Leaf sales. Let's credit Texas. Toby Perry, Nissan's director of EV sales and marketing, said in a statement that, "Since the Texas state incentive went into effect in May, we've seen a big jump in Leaf sales in the Austin, Dallas and Houston markets. Our dealers are telling us that they saw more traffic in their stores, and they had their best Leaf sales performance in the last weekend in June." Even with that increase, Atlanta remains the top Leaf market. Nissan has sold 12,736 Leafs in the US so far this year; Chevy 8,615 Volts. Our detailed monthly sales write-up of green cars in the US, including plug-in vehicles, hybrids and diesel cars, is coming soon. For now, we invite you to discuss these numbers in the Comments. Weekly Recap: Autonomous driving goes commercial in Nevada

Sat, May 9 2015

Nevada granted Daimler Trucks North America the first license to run an autonomous commercial vehicle on public roads in the United States Tuesday, marking another milestone in the technology's rapid advancement. Gov. Brian Sandoval and Daimler truck chief Wolfgang Bernhard promptly used the license to lap Highway 15 near Las Vegas in a newly revealed Freightliner Inspiration Truck. It was a clear signal that autonomous driving is big-rig reality, though it's still a long way from widespread use. Nevada certified two of Daimler's Freightliner Inspiration Trucks, which use the company's Highway Pilot system with a stereo camera, radar, and lane-keeping collision-prevention features to regulate the brakes and steering. The radar component has a long-range sensor that can cover 820 feet at an 18-degree angle and a shorter-range unit that stretches 230 feet at a 130-degree angle. The Inspiration trucks are based on the existing Freightliner Cascadia Evolution model used on US roads. In addition to the autonomous technologies, it also has futuristic design cues, including blue lighting in the front and a new hood and grille. While there are only two Freightliner Inspiration trucks in existence, Daimler expects to bring the Highway Pilot system into mass-produced big rigs by 2025, in time to capitalize on the market's predicted growth. The German truckmaker predicts the global hauling market will triple by 2050, and the United States will be a key part of that growth. Trucks carry 69.1 percent the nation's domestic freight tonnage and hauled 9.7 billion tons of freight in 2013, according to the American Trucking Association. Daimler expects autonomous driving to augment this growth, and perhaps evolve the role of the truck driver. Still, the company points out autonomous tech is not meant to replace drivers, but to assist them and relieve fatigue and monotony on long hauls. The driver has to stay in control for passing, in city traffic, and when hooking up the trailer. The company said autonomous driving also offers the potential for improved fuel economy – tests showed a five-percent gain – and lower maintenance costs. Daimler also said the technology could reduce congestion on the road. Much of this is attributable to the constant flow of traffic, which is aided by autonomous driving. While the benefits are becoming increasingly apparent, autonomous technology is still met with skepticism.

Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado, Toyota Tundra flunk IIHS headlight test

Tue, Oct 25 2016

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety put pickup truck headlights to the test and found that the majority of them were equipped with subpar units. The 2017 Honda Ridgeline was the only truck to earn a rating of "good." The large pickup truck test was comprised of the: 2016 to 2017 GMC Sierra, 2017 Nissan Titan, 2016 Ram 1500, 2016 to 2017 Chevrolet Silverado, 2016 to 2017 Ford F-150, and 2016 to 2017 Toyota Tundra. The Sierra's headlights earned a rating of "acceptable," the headlights found on the Titan and Ram 1500 were found to be "marginal," and the ones on the Silverado, F-150, and Tundra were rated as "poor." IIHS claims the F-150 was the most disappointing out of the large pickup trucks as both its halogen and optional LED headlights failed to provide adequate visibility during testing. The Ridgeline (which earned a "good rating"), is usually considered a midsize or small truck, though IIHS included it in the field of large pickups. The headlights on the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, 2016 GMC Canyon, 2016 Nissan Frontier, and 2016 to 2017 Toyota Tacoma, which made up the small pickup truck group, all earned a rating of "poor." The IIHS claimed the Colorado had the worst headlights of any truck that was tested, as the base vehicle's units were only able to illuminate up to 123 feet in front of the car. The Ridgeline's headlights, for reference, were able to illuminate up to 358 feet in front of the vehicle. To conduct its test, the IIHS utilizes a special tool to measure how far light is projected out of the headlights in different driving situations. The trucks' headlights were tested in a straight line and in corners, while vehicles with high-beam assist were given extra praise. The headlights on the pickup trucks also mimic the testing that was done on small SUVs and cars earlier this year. Next year, automakers will need to fit their vehicles with headlights that earn a rating of either good or acceptable to earn the IIHS Top Safety Pick+. Related Video:
