Up for sale is my 2005 Chevrolet Silverado Z71 Off Road. 5.3L V8. LT extended cab package with Bose surround speakers. Truck is in very good condition with one minor dent under the exhaust tip(hardly noticeable). Can send pictures if interested. Low mileage for the year and is a two tone factory paint job. All maintenance is up to date and needs nothing. Fresh oil change done recently. Newer Goodyear Wrangler AT/S tires with a 5th brand new spare which is the same tire along with brand new brakes. Extras on the truck includes; H.I.D headlights, Magnaflow Exhaust, K&N cold air intake, Diamond plate tool box, Custom roll up toneau cover, aftermarket Sony head unit, running step tubes, 2'' leveling kit with Nitro 9000 shocks. Chevy Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo concept blends the past and the future
Wed, 19 Nov 2014The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.
GM claims it's first to sell million 30+ mpg vehicles
Fri, 04 Jan 2013As we continue to put together all the data for the year-end edition of By The Numbers, General Motors has announced that it sold more than a million vehicles in the US last year that achieved at least 30 miles per gallon on the highway. More impressively, GM managed this feat using multiple strategies including small vehicle size, turbocharged engines and hybrid or plug-in technologies across four brands (Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC) accounting for 13 separate models. This number will grow even more in 2013 thanks to cars like the all-electric Spark, the diesel Cruze, the range-extended Cadillac ELR and the Buick Encore compact CUV.
GM's small car sales were up 39 percent last year helping to attain this million-sales mark for 30-mpg models, and almost 40 percent of all GM sales consisted of cars with fuel-efficient I4 engines. In regards to more advanced means of improving fuel economy, GM says that it plans on having 500,000 vehicles with "some form of electrification" on the road by 2017.
