2003 Chevy Silverado LS Step-Side!

Automatic Transmission - 5.3L - 2 Wheel Drive

Up for sale is my 2 wheel drive 2003 Chevy Silverado LS with the 5.3L and an Automatic Transmission;

Perfect running truck in very good condition. Mechanically sound, runs and drives great with no issues.

Truck comes loaded with

  • Ice cold AC
  • Key-less entry
  • Power windows & locks
  • Tilt wheel
  • Cruise Control
  • Tow Package
  • The radio works great with upgraded door speakers; and is professionally wired for an Amp/Sub.
  • No check engine light on.

All power options work as they should. Interior is in Great shape, non-smoker owned, super clean for the year and miles.

The outside is in excellent shape, paint is original RARE ARRIVAL BLUE COLOR and shines up nice when clean. The rockers and cab corners are solid, NO RUST!

Truck has always been serviced and well maintained! Has always had NAPA Auto Parts installed (receipts in glove box)!
Oil changed every 3k, and you can tell this by the way it drives.

If I covered the odometer and told you this truck had 80k on it, and you took it for a test drive, you would believe me. This 5.3L will push you to the back of the seat.

All stock, unmolested truck!

The 5.3L V8 VORTEC Engine starts right up, has plenty of power, and sounds great. The truck has 196,407** mostly highway miles on it, the motor uses no oil and has no leaks. It has a lot of life left in it.
(**Truck has more miles than shown as it is being driven daily.)

For a half-ton full size, it gets great mileage! I get around 22 highway/ 18 city, and about 450 miles per tank.

The exterior is in great shape but has a few dings and scratches (see pics).
The tires are all matching Cooper Discoverer with 70% + tread on them. Has a full size spare under the bed, with factory jack and wrench in the cab.

Truck has a soft tonneau cover in good condition.

Motor is perfect running order!

Now for the bad:

  • The AC does blow ice cold, but there is a problem with the compressor, my mechanic tells me the compressor momentarily binds up, and at higher RPM's it causes the AC belt tensioner to jump up and down.
  • The 1st to 2nd shift is a little hard if your being very light on the gas pedal. It's smooth if your on the gas a little. I don't know if it might need a shift solenoid, or just a fluid and filter change. I haven't had a chance to have my mechanic check it out.

  • I had a small tree limb come down on the hood. Damage isn't to bad. (See pics.)

  • There are a few dents, dings and scratches normal for the age of the truck.

  • The soft tonneau cover has 2 or 3 snaps that do not snap.

  • One of the map lights has a bad switch and does not turn on.

Best new convertibles for 2024 and 2025

Thu, Jan 25 2024

If you’re here, then youÂ’re already in the right mindset. Convertibles rule, and we have all the best convertibles listed for you further below. Driving around with the top off is an experience you need to live to fall in love with. When the weatherÂ’s right, youÂ’re on a proper bit of road, and the car youÂ’re in is a good one, few automotive experiences can top it. The experience is extra special when you have a musical exhaust note filtering directly into your ears and echoing off the landscape around you. And while rolling the windows down and opening a moonroof can get you part of the way there, it's nothing like feeling the wind wash over you with absolutely no roof overhead. The downsides can be just as harsh as the upsides when youÂ’re in the wrong conditions, though. Convertibles are typically worse to live with in cold climates, and driving around with the top up frequently means you might be subject to more road noise and worse visibility than an equivalent coupe. And when it comes to pure performance, convertibles are inherently compromised from a weight and structural rigidity perspective. All that said, we still think the upsides outweigh the compromises if your number one objective is to simply have fun. ItÂ’s a good thing then that there are a ton of great convertibles for sale these days. And no, the list of possibilities isnÂ’t as long as it used to be. Long-running standbys like the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and C-Class Convertibles are gone (replaced by the one CLE-Class). And so are others like the Audi TT Roadster, Fiat 124 Spider and Nissan Z Roadster. Nevertheless, opportunities abound from the ultra-cheap and fun, to physics-defying supercars and everything else in between. WeÂ’ll give you options for which new convertibles we think are the best below, so read on to find out.   Mazda MX-5 Miata Pros: Lightweight and compact; great engine and transmission combo; one of the most raw and pure driving experiences out thereCons: Not great for tall people; infotainment is dated; tiny trunk Read our Mazda MX-5 Miata Review Miata is always the answer, right? In this case, that rings even more true than usual. In fact, you could stop reading this list right here and go buy a Miata and youÂ’d likely be just as happy driving it around as you would be in any of the more expensive offerings that follow. ThatÂ’s just the magic of the MX-5.
