DO NOT BID IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO PAY!!!
I sold this truck at the beginning of the summer and the winner never answered my emails, or tried to contact me.
It cost me money to make a listing, please don't bid if you don't intend to buy, or you don't
have the money, or your wife won't let you have this truck etc...

100%positive feedback and striving to keep it that way!!!

NO RESERVE!!!
AS ALWAYS!!!

   2002 CHEVY SILVERADO EX-CAB 4X4

Every truck has a story, here is the one for this truck, I bought it as a very clean low milage (45k) salvage right here on eBay 6 years ago. I bought it

because I had a high milage (280k) truck of the exact same model that was at the end of it's life. This truck was involved in a light rollover. The parts

that are original to this truck are the frame, entire driveline, interior, front left fender, hood, grill, both bumpers, drivers door and bottom of cab, the

only parts from the donor truck were rims, bed, roof, passenger fender, back driver door, and both passenger doors. In the original accident the airbags

never deployed and the none of the wheels hit anything, it looked as tho someone had slid off the road into a ditch, it really didn't even scratch the

paint, but its too hard to straighten the tops of doors and roof, etc. so replacing is the only option and I was lucky enough to have the parts at hand...

The good

The truck has been my daily driver for 6 years and 130,000 miles. It has 170K now, still driving it to launch my 18' boat at the boat ramp at the end

of the street, about 1/2 mile away and to take the trash to the dump about 5 miles away. Instead of fixing up this one I went out and bought my dream

truck, a 2013 silverado crew cab, you see it in the last picture, it is of course not included in this auction. I do a lot of highway driving and this was my

only real option...

The last set of tires I put on this truck were a $1000 set of Michelin LTX AT. When the tires went on (at 132k) I had an alignment done, not because

I thought i needed one but because I wanted the expensive tires to last. It was so close to being within specs the tech told me not to waste my money,

but I had him do it anyway. I have the paperwork to support this. Tires are about half tread and hold air prefect. She has never missed an oil change, I

have had several done at the dealer and local shops, but I did several of them myself if I had time. I have receipts for the ones I paid for but not the

ones I did myself. She has the G80 locking rear, push button 4x4! Tail gate latches, but only on one side, it is dented, tailgate handle works. Has

trailer hitch. She breaks smooth and quiet, I have only been driving it once a week all summer, every so often I get a little noise, I think its because its

sitting for 6 days at a time, but it will probably need pads soon. I just took the truck through emissions and it passed, the check engine light is on but if

you disconnect the battery the computer resets and you have about 30 miles before the light comes back on. This 2 year emission is transferable to

the new owner. I had a local shop read the codes, the evap sensor on the fuel tank is bad, I had them confirm this with a smoke test and I have the

paperwork to support this. Seats are fair for a work truck. Battery and alternator are brand new!  Truck starts on the first turn of the starter just like

chevy should, even if it sat for a week in the middle of winter! Head lights, tail lights, turn signals work. Dome light and cd player do not work. I will

give all the paper work I have, including a Chiltons repair manual.

AC blows ICE COLD!!! Heat is a  FLAME THROWER!!!   All the gauges work!

The bad

Last winter she stopped shifting into 3rd gear, it only has first and second now, I looked into having it repaired and it was about $1500-$2000 to fix.

you can get a salvage for $500-$1000 and put it in yourself but I don't have the time or know how. I have been using it once a week to drive to the

dump about 5 miles away, and every few days to put my boat in at the ramp about 1/2 mile away. The 4x4 works perfect and the motor purrs like a

kitten. I gave my brother a ride in it the other day, he told me to start the truck, it was already running!!!

The truck was purchased as salvage and I had to have the Maryland state police inspect my repairs before I could paint the truck and put it back

together. The repairs are structural and solid, but the doors never lined up perfect, the paint job was a cheap one and now its pealing off. This would

make a great plow, hunting, farm, or first truck for a driver that needs something where a dent wouldn't matter so much. There are dents all over the

truck, but none of the doors leak! Passenger door handle broken, still works but gets stuck if you try to open while locked, one of the rear door handles

broke, need to reach in to open, both back doors stick a little. Radio works, antenna is broken off. Im sure there are a few things Im for getting but you

get the picture, good motor and chassis, bad trans, rough body. There is some rust starting on the rear rockers, underneath isn't rusted to bad though!

The windshield is cracked on the passenger side.

This truck will drive anywhere at 45 miles an hour but you should plan on towing it. No you can't borrow my tags to get it home. I will deliver local for

$2/ mile.

There is a beach 1/2 mile away where you can test 4x4 before leaving if you wish.

$300 paypal deposit due immediately at time of auction end!!! don't bid if you cant complete the transaction!!!

Balance due as cash at time of pick up, if at time of pick up you are not satisfied that I listed the truck accurate than I will return the deposit as it was paid.

Title in hand.

Please come look and ask questions. This was my work truck, I am trying to disclose everything but sure I forgot a few things. Look at the pictures and ask questions!!!

Chevrolet SS previewed by Holden VF Commodore SS V show car

Thu, 14 Feb 2013

It won't be long before we see the official, production-ready Chevrolet SS sedan (hint: it will be revealed this weekend). And to tide us over until all of the official details are released about the US-spec version, we have this: the Holden VF Commodore SS V show car, a performance-oriented brother to the Calais V that debuted earlier in the week.
What we really want to know about the SS V is what lies underhood, but General Motors' Australian arm is keeping that under wraps until the Chevy model breaks cover this weekend. Nevertheless, it's obvious that the SS V will be a serious performer, with all sorts of aggressive cues driving that home on the car's exterior. Take a look at those 20-inch billet aluminum wheels that hide big Brembo brake calipers up front, the sculpted hood and front fascia, the wide air intakes with LED running lights and the quad exhaust pipes out back. It's like the Pontiac G8 GXP never even left us.
Inside, there's a sporty-looking interior with aluminum accents that mix in with black leather and suede surfaces, all tied together in the middle with an eight-inch MyLink touchscreen infotainment system. It looks great, and again, while we don't know anything regarding powertrain details, it makes us oh-so happy to see a manual shifter smack dab in the middle of the center console.

Race Recap: Rolex 24 at Daytona was fast and feisty

Mon, Jan 26 2015

Let the record show that victory at the 2015 Rolex 24 at Daytona went to the No. 02 Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates Target/Ford EcoBoost Riley DP driven by Verizon IndyCar drivers Scott Dixon and Tony Kanaan and NASCAR drivers Jamie McMurray and Kyle Larson. The winner did 740 laps to cover 2,634.3 miles in 24 hours and 57.667 seconds. That's a statement to this year's pace in spite of 18 cautions, two more than last year: the Michael Shank Racing Ligier got pole with a time of 1:39.194, slower than last year's pole time of 1:38.270; however, the winning car last year only did 695 laps. The fight for top honors was shaved to a four-car battle over the first third of the event. The No. 02 Ganassi car took the lead on the first lap, swapping it well into the night with the No. 01 Ganassi car, the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette DP, and the defending champion No. 5 Action Express Corvette DP, all of them staying within about 20 seconds of one another. The Action Express car had a fuel connector come loose and lost three laps getting towed back to the pits to have it reattached, but was back in the lead 18 hours in. The No. 01 Ganassi car dropped out with recurring clutch problems 22 hours in, retiring not long after. A race-within-the-race is where the concluding action happened, a seven minute, 30-second dash from the end of the last caution to the checkered flag. During the penultimate pit stops with an hour to go, Dixon was in second place followed Jordan Taylor in the Wayne Taylor Racing DP into the pits but beat him out, taking the lead. The Action Express car was in third. In the last pit stops of the race, Dixon gained even more time, getting a four-second advantage over Taylor. Then a full-course caution came out twenty minutes before the finish when a Prototype Challenge car hit the wall and caught fire, bunching up the field. That closed the pits, but the Wayne Taylor Racing car had to pit during that yellow because of a miscalculation of driver time. No driver can be behind the wheel for more than four hours in a six-hour period but Jordan Taylor was going to go over, so he came in to swap out for brother Ricky. That cost the team any chance of second place, since they took an additional drive-through penalty for entering closed pits. When the track went green again, Sebastien Bourdais in the Action Express car stayed all over Dixon for the final five laps but couldn't get around him.

Weekly Recap: GM plans massive new paint shop at Chevy Corvette factory

Sat, May 23 2015

General Motors is laying out some serious green to maintain the Chevy Corvette's expansive color palette. The automaker is breaking ground on a new paint shop this summer that's part of a $439-million investment to upgrade the 34-year-old Bowling Green, KY, factory that builds the Stingray. The massive new structure will total 450,000 square feet, nearly half the size of the current 1-million square-foot facility. Construction is expected to take two years and won't impact Corvette production. The upgrades include new robots that save paint and create a better finish, longer, more efficient ovens to bake in the finish, and LED lighting. There's also a dry scrubbing booth technology with a limestone handling system that eliminates waste. GM has invested $135 million in the factory in last four years for the changeover to build the C7 and to relocate its Performance Build Center to Bowling Green. The improvements continue to modernize the Kentucky factory, which has become a tourist attraction in its own right, as more than 56,000 enthusiasts visited it last year. The upgrades are part of a $5.4-billion investment GM confirmed in April that will remake its US footprint in the next three years. The Bowling Green expansion underscores GM's continued commitment to the Corvette, which sold nearly 38,000 copies around the world last year, an eight-year high. "With this major technology investment, we can continue to exceed the expectations of sports car buyers for years to come," North American manufacturing manager Arvin Jones said in a statement. OTHER NEWS & NOTES Takata recall hits 34 million vehicles The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration expanded the Takata airbag recall to an almost unthinkable 34 million vehicles on Tuesday. The recall is part of an agreement reached by the two sides where Takata admitted some of its airbag inflators have a defect, and the deal compels the company to comply with all future regulatory actions and investigations. Takata's airbag inflators were produced with "a propellant that can degrade over time" and lead to ruptures, NHTSA said. Six deaths have been attributed to the flaw worldwide. Investigations conducted by Takata, automakers, and others have not determined the exact cause of the inflator problem, but NHTSA said moisture appears to alter the propellant's chemical structure. It then ignites too rapidly, creates too much pressure that ruptures the inflator, and blasts shards of metal at passengers.
