I need a bigger truck so I'm selling my 2002 C1500 HD 4X4 short wheel base. I've owned it for nearly 3 years and have not had any problems other than normal wear and tear. It is a LT model with leather seats (heated driver seat), and overhead console. It has all the power options: steering, brakes, windows, locks, power driver and passenger seat, simulated wood grain dash and door inserts, premium factory sound system with cassette and CD (I replaced the speakers last year). I rebuilt the front end (ball joints, tie rod ends, wheel bearings) and 3,000 miles ago I put on new Pro-Comp all terrain tires. Two years ago I had true dual exhaust installed, a K&N cold air intake, and a Edge programmer. It has step bars, bed liner and low profile tool box. Since I've owned it I put new brakes, hoses and battery. Since its a 1500HD it has the big 6.0L motor (like the C2500) and HD transmission. This truck runs great, sounds great, and gets from 15-19 mpg. due to the Edge/K&N/dual exhaust combo. The only bad about the truck is the driver seat has a couple of small tears and the rear bumper has a dent. The paint looks new with great shine and no scratches.I have this truck for sale locally so I reserve the right to pull this auction at any time and don't need to trade for anything. GM starting to talk seriously about 200-mile EV
Sun, Oct 12 2014We've been hearing word of a 200-mile EV from Chevrolet for a while now. First, there was General Motors then-CEO Dan Akerson hinting at a $30,000, 200-mile EV that would take the competition by surprise. Then Akerson confirmed that GM is working on a 200-mile EV in a speech in March. LG Chem, which supplies batteries to GM and other automakers, recently said it was working on batteries for EVs with a range of 200 miles. GM's head of global product development Mark Reuss just re-confirmed that there are plans for an EV with a 200-mile range, and sources have told Automotive News what that car will be. While Reuss didn't mention anything about a specific model or platform, two undisclosed sources with knowledge of GM's plans have said that an EV with a range of about 200 miles is indeed in the works, and that it will be based on the Chevrolet Sonic. The sources also gave a timeline for the car, saying it is slated for sometime in 2017. According to Reuss, the plan is for Chevy to offer a lineup of electric cars, with the 200-mile EV joining ranks of the Chevrolet Volt and the Spark EV. He didn't hint at a timeline, but if the sources are correct, we could see a Sonic EV being built within a few years. Reuss sees demand for it, too. When speaking of the Spark EV, currently only available in California and Oregon, he says that "people wish we would sell it all around the country." If he's right about that, it's not difficult to imagine people taking interest in Chevrolet's 200-mile electric car, whether or not it's a Sonic.
Next Chevy Volt will be 2016 model and ride on new chassis
Fri, Mar 7 2014What do we know about the 2016 Chevy Volt? Well, for now, all we can do is try to put the puzzle together without the box. Thankfully, a new batch of pieces has arrived from a new report in Edmunds, which says that the 2016 model year will introduce the second generation of a car that hasn't been dramatically updated since it went on sale in 2010. The new Volt is getting an "evolutionary styling change" and will ride on a new front-drive platform that has been developed by General Motors. GM's Kevin Kelly told AutoblogGreen that he has "no comment on future products," but he did acknowledge that Chevrolet is working on a second-generation Volt, "but I can't say anything about timing." Everybody already knew that a next-gen Volt is coming, so that's not a surprise. What we don't know is any real concrete information on the car itself. The few tidbits of information we do have help define the outlines of the next version of Chevy's halo car, but they're not confirmed yet. For the record, they range from the eye-raising (a $10,000 price drop) to the logical (20 percent more electric range). We can't see the whole picture yet, but the pieces do point to the 2016 Volt, which would be released next year sometime, being a much bigger deal than the last update, when the Volt's range was increased by three electric miles thanks to a battery capacity increase of 16 kWh to 16.5.
Netflix to feature electric cars from GM and others in programming
Sun, Feb 5 2023LOS ANGELES — Netflix has unveiled a new star for some of its upcoming programming: electric vehicles from General Motors and other automakers. The streaming service announced an agreement on Thursday to feature vehicles including the Chevrolet Bolt, the electric GMC Hummer pickup and the Cadillac Lyriq in TV series and films "where relevant." The companies will highlight the partnership in a commercial featuring Will Ferrell that will air during the Feb. 12 Super Bowl. Netflix and GM called the agreement "part of a commitment to a more sustainable future." Financial terms were not disclosed. Netflix said it will help creators "better understand how EVs can complement and enhance their stories." Shows that will feature GM's electric vehicles include "Love is Blind," "Queer Eye" and "Unstable." Netflix productions also will include electric vehicles made by other automakers, the company said.
