Lititz, Pennsylvania, United States

2000 Chevy Silverado LS 1500 Extended Cab 4 wheel drive truck  with a 5.3 L engine and with towing package and Leer cap.

Needs frame work.  Rear frame cross member and frame cross member at gas tank need replaced.   We have a photo posted of the rear cross member and you can see the hole.   There is some body rust.

Fuel gauge showing (full to empty) needs replaced and can be replaced in process of repairing frame. We kept the truck full and generally filled it when we got to 350 miles on a tank; however a tank full should last somewhere in the neighborhood of 450 miles.  Light rust needs repaired; but if you can fix the frame; this is not a major issue.   We are not DIY folks, wish we were!

This truck has been well maintained.  We are openly disclosing all issues we are aware of.   We are selling rather than repairing because we are at the age where one last new truck will be all we need; so we have opted to sell this guy while it still has lots left to offer to the right person, a do it yourselfer who can repair the frame.

Bought this truck brand spanking new in 2000.  Clean title. .  Its got a good mix of highway and local miles on it.  Hauled the quad to hunting camp and back; family trips, you name it.  It has been a great vehicle.  This truck was never wrecked.

The tires are in fair condition and replacement will depend on where and how you use it.  Full sized spare (shown) included.  Leer Cap (no longer locks) is included as well.  Bed liner (shown) is included.

Air conditioner is good; blows cold.

4WD works very well, just push the button!

New rear rotors and pads were installed on 4/25/14 at 197,967.  Front rotors and pads replaced 1/2012 at 180K. Window motors were both replaced at 190,425 in April 13.  Nothing was let go on the truck.

Have a complete record of all maintenance work we have done to this vehicle since 2000, and that will also be included.

Yes, you may test drive the truck and review all maintenance records prior to bidding.  Message us to make arrangements.

We can drive the truck to your LOCAL location (within 150 miles) for an additional $150.00;  or you can tow the vehicle.  The inspection sticker WILL BE REMOVED upon pickup or arrival depending on delivery method.  Emissions sticker will remain and is valid until 2015.

No checks.  Balance of cash due at time of transfer.  No spammers or scammers.  We are onto that- so look elsewhere. Buyer must pay sales tax and is responsible for transfer and title fees.

GM expected to debut two new crossovers at Detroit Auto Show

Thu, Dec 15 2016

Next month, General Motors is expected to debut two new crossovers at the North American International Auto Show. That's according to Automotive News and The Wall Street Journal, which reports that the successors to the aging Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Terrain will finally make their debut. The two crossovers have been on sale since 2009 and 2010 respectively and are due for updates as the competition has newer models on the market. Both crossovers play in growing market segments where sales success is crucial for the respective brands. GM, and the automotive industry as a whole, has been shifting its focus towards crossovers in the last few years. The Traverse and the Terrain are some of the oldest SUVs on the market and are in dire need of an update. GMC's Acadia, the former corporate clone to the Traverse (and Buick Acadia), switched to a new platform in 2016. And the Terrain's platform-mate, the Chevrolet Equinox, was revealed a few months ago. Both the new Chevy and GMC models are expected to go on sale late in 2017 as 2018 models. Look for a follow up to the Traverse's sister, the Buick Enclave, to make an appearance soon. First 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray spotted crashed in the wild

Tue, 12 Feb 2013

This restyled blue 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is wearing manufacturer plates, and it appears to be the same one seen around the internet in various pictures lately. This crash is likely not part of the Chevrolet testing regimen, however. Digital Corvettes forum member gpetry posted the shot with a note: "got this picture e-mailed from a friend in Arizona last week..." No circumstances are given, other than the incident occurred in the thick of a set of curvy roads, and the coupe ping-ponged off a guardrail and into the rock wall. Hopefully everyone involved in the incident walked away.
It may not be a pretty thing to see, a crashed sports car that's not even available for sale yet, but rest easy. Many pre-production cars are used for development and then unceremoniously crushed and scrapped, anyway. If that's the case here, that makes this wrecked 'Vette less of a tragedy and more of a case of exceptional efficiency.

GM recalling 15k midsize pickups over leaky brakes

Mon, Jun 8 2015

General Motors has announced a recall in coordination with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration related to the brakes on the 2015 Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon. In the 14,838 units in the United States estimated to be affected, the front brake calipers may be leaking fluid. Needless to say, that could make them less effective, which could hinder the vehicle's ability to stop in time to avoid a collision. The affected units were all manufactured between January 6 and December 24, 2014. The fix seems simple and straightforward enough, with dealers being instructed to inspect the front brake calipers, and replace them if necessary. See below for all the details from NHTSA. RECALL Subject : Brake Fluid Leak Report Receipt Date: MAY 12, 2015 NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V278000 Component(s): SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC Potential Number of Units Affected: 14,838 Manufacturer: General Motors LLC SUMMARY: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2015 Chevrolet Colorado, and GMC Canyon trucks manufactured January 6, 2014, to December 24, 2014. The affected vehicles may experience the front brake calipers leaking brake fluid. This is due to air pockets, an imperfection in the metal caliper body. CONSEQUENCE: If the vehicle experiences a brake fluid leak it can increase the stopping distance, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash. REMEDY: GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the front-brake calipers if necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin July 10, 2015. Owners may contact GM customer service at 1-800-222-1020 (Chevrolet), or 1-800-462-8782 (GMC). GM's number for this recall is 14888. NOTES: Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
