You are looking at a true find, especially in the most popular color combo for these trucks, white with maroon interior. This is a one owner, I have the original title, 1987 Chevrolet Silverado 4wd short bed pick up truck that has been cared for since new. This beauty has 84,000 original miles on her, has always been a N.C. truck and still retains it's original paint, interior, and mechanics. We'll start with the paint, just waxed this baby yesterday and it shines like a new penny, mostly because It has been kept inside most of it's life. Bumper on the front is mint, as is the grille, mirrors, door handles, and all the trim around the truck. Rear is aftermarket bumper they put on at the dealer when it was sold new, dinged up and not great, but presentable. Truck is not beat up, the tailgate has a dent in the center at the top, but the rest of the body has maybe two or three dings. One place on the passenger bedside behind the moulding is a little wavey. Body is laser straight. Also, have a bedliner that is included with the auction. The only thing really to pick on the body is some surface rust starting on the lower body sections, check out the pictures. Wouldn't be hard to fix at all if it's addressed. Now for the best part, the interior. It looks like it was built yesterday. Dash, seat, carpet, door panels, all immaculate. He really waxed the kick panels where your feet rest in the floor. Even the rubber on the pedals are not worn. Nothing else to say about the insides, but perfect. Underside frame, suspension, floors, etc, all rust free and clean as a pin. Driving this truck, wow, you would have to go down the road in this baby to believe how tight it is, awesome. Four wheel drive operates smoothly with manual locking hubs. Engine fires right up every time, like a truck with really low miles should. Clean under the hood, no leaks, grease or crap all over. Transmission is tight like brand new, clutch works perfect. Tires are new BFG's, factory rally wheels and trim are nice as well, muffler appears to be new, this truck needs nothing to be an awesome driver, or the grounds for a high dollar show truck. I deal in the 87 Silverados and K5s daily, I know how rare of a find this one is. 87's are the most rare due to it being the last of the square body style and the first year of fuel injection. A one year only truck. I am selling this for a friend that doesn't do Ebay, so any questions will be relayed to him so be patient, I'll get back to you quickly. Please check my feedback, I shoot straight and everyone is always pleased with my descriptions because I tell it like it is. If you have a feedback score of 10 or less, or a negative score, please contact me before bidding or it will be canceled. Sorry, these ads are expensive and I have been jerked around alot over the years. Don't hesitate to email with questions or if you need to see more pictures, thanks for looking and take care.

GM already raising prices on 2014 Silverado and Sierra pickups
Mon, 14 Oct 2013General Motors must be pretty pleased with sales of its two newest pickups, the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado, as it's announced price hikes for both models, as part of a planned price tweak.
Prices will be bumped by as much as $1,500, although weirdly, they'll be offset by as much as $1,500 in cash-back offers through the end of October. Fox Business reports that GM spokesman Jim Cain said of the price hike, "With the sell down of the '13 models nearly complete, this price adjustment was planned and is a normal part of business."
The move, as Fox is quick to point out, is an interesting one, as sales of the twin pickups struggled last month relative to the Ford F-Series, while both of GM's crosstown competitors have been aggressively undercutting Silverado and Sierra prices. The F-150 starts at $24,070 and the Ram 1500 comes in at $23,600, not counting any cash on the hood. A base Silverado, meanwhile, retails at $25,575.
Chevrolet considering midsize crossover to slot between Traverse and Equinox
Mon, Jan 9 2017Crossovers are the new hotness, and automakers are looking to cash in by offering a size and shape for every customer. With Chevrolet's debut of the new 2018 Traverse in Detroit, which grew ever so slightly compared to the first-generation model, there is now a midsize-crossover-sized hole between the three-row Traverse and the compact Equinox. When asked about that obvious space, a Chevrolet spokesperson told us the company is looking into the possibility of expanding its crossover lineup. It should be a relatively simple thing to do, since all it would take is reskinning and rechristening the GMC Acadia with a bow tie, and we all know how much GM loves platform sharing. Although they're now different sizes, the new Acadia and Traverse still use the same platform; the Acadia is now on a short-wheelbase version of the C1XX while the Traverse uses long-wheelbase C1XX parts. A short-wheelbase Chevy built on the C1XX likely would be differentiated visually from both the Acadia and the larger Traverse. It may seem like flooding the lineup with more and more models would cannibalize sales of existing ones, but Chevrolet said it would rather have customers stay within the brand rather than going to another automaker. There have been whispers that some form of the Blazer name (possibly TrailBlazer) may make a return on a midsizer, but if it does don't expect an old-school body-on-frame SUV like the old one. In the end, if Chevy builds it, customers will come. Related Video:
GM profits threatened by glut of pickups
Wed, 05 Dec 2012Automotive News reports that General Motors may slash production or ramp up discounts in order to deal with an oversupply of pickup trucks. GM currently has more than double the standard supply of pickups, and the vehicles are threatening to dampen the automaker's profits for 2013. Typically, automakers try to sustain a 60- to 75-day supply of vehicles, but GM is currently loaded with a 139-day supply, as of last month. At the end of November, the automaker was sitting on 245,853 units.
The manufacturer says that it will adjust production accordingly before laying any incentives on the profitable pickups. Even so, there's some concern that the inventory swell could hurt the roll-out of the next-generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. GM actually began slowly stepping back production in August, but it's clear the company will take further action as it heads toward the end of the year and into the next. Analysts predict the automaker could reduce pickup manufacturing by nearly half in the first quarter of 2013.
That still may not be enough to keep GM from laying extra cash on the Silverado and GMC Sierra. While the company's incentive spending was down in November compared to the same month in 2011, both the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150 saw double-digit percentage increases in sales last month while the Silverado and Sierra numbers slid compared to a year prior. Incentive spending could help move more trucks and add some balance to the GM inventory surge.
