Up for sale I have my 2002 Xtreme blazer, I had purchased this from the original owner back in the beginning of March with intentions of restoring it to its former glory, I've purchased a bunch of new stuff for it but have not had the time so it needs to go. Vehicle Runs good, shifts good, It has some minor dings dents and scratches here and there, it comes with the 20" Monderna rims shown in pictures, rims are chrome, and have some pitting and will need new tires. It does need a new air dam as the old one was cracked and I removed it. Vehicle has some rust on the lower quarters in front of the rear wheels, I have the patch panels and they will be included in sale. The blazer also comes with new Front and rear cross drilled and slotted front and rear pads and rotors that will need to be installed. Interior is in decent shape though the tailgate plastic panel and drivers seat panel have cracks in them. The Blazer runs and shifts good, Though it will need a New Mass Air flow sensor as it had a engine light come on for this. The AC will also need to be charged, it don't work. The only other thing that I noticed the other day when I started it was the speedometer jumped to 100mph and stayed there, It worked before not sure why it did this. Vehicle is sold AS IS!! I've done my best to describe what it needs, These blazers are getting hard to find, and this one is worth bringing Back. Blazer is located in Upstate NY About 30 Minutes North of Albany NY. I Will only Sell to US Buyers!! ABSOULTLY NO SHIPPING!! YOU MUST PICK IT UP WITHIN 7 DAYS OF AUCTION END. NO CHECKS OR MONEY ORDERS, NO TRADES NO BS!! NHTSA closes book on Ford, GM probes of 600,000 vehicles
Thu, Nov 27 2014US safety regulators have closed a pair of investigations into some 500,000 Ford Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis and Marauder sedans built between 2004 to 2007, and 100,000 Chevrolet Impala models from 2014. The Ford investigation focused on rusting heat shields, which may become dislodged and jam the steering, according to Reuters. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found that this happened very rarely. In fact, of the ten incidents filed with the government safety watchdog, six came from a single police department, which evidently had some sort of problem with its reporting. As for the Impala, the NHTSA investigators attributed two incidences of "unintended autonomous braking" to user error. In both cases, the vehicles were involved in rear-end collisions. According to GM investigators, it's believed that drivers accidentally activated the electric parking brake, causing the collisions. The vehicles in question were rental cars. 2015 Chevy Volt gets larger battery, though range remains the same
Sat, Jul 19 2014The Chevrolet Volt isn't changing much for the 2015 model year. According to specifications uncovered by Inside EVs, though, the new Volt's battery does have a slightly larger capacity. According to the spec sheet, this doesn't translate to increased range. Real world driving, though, might tell a different story. The 2015 Volt's battery storage is slightly higher than the outgoing model's, up from 16.5 kilowatt-hours to 17.1 kWh. According to GM's manager of electrification technology communications, Kevin Kelly, speaking to Green Car Reports, the increased capacity is "a late change done in the cell... just another continuous improvement to surprise and delight our customers." The stated electric range, however, stays at 38 miles. Inside EVs followed up on its original report, and found that drivers could see some advantage to the battery tweak. When they spoke to Kelly, he told them, "As a result of this change, we would expect that some customers may see a slight improvement in overall EV range." It's worth noting that when battery capacity increased from 16 kWh to 16.5 kWh for the 2013 Volt, electric range increased by three miles to the current 38, while MPGe went from 94 to 98. The price of the 2015 Chevrolet Volt remains steady, at $34,995. The actual cost to the customer is considerably less with the $7,500 federal tax credit, as well as any local incentives.
Use this PowerPoint when convincing your spouse to let you buy a Corvette
Thu, 14 Feb 2013When you are not the one in charge of the purse strings, creativity is a must when trying to get the string-holder to bankroll that next shiny object you just can't live without.
When I was a kid, I decided that life wasn't worth living if it weren't in pursuit of owning a GMC Typhoon. My 12-year-old self crafted a fiscal strategy that, when combined with my offer of a 49-percent share of ownership in the car in return for my parents' contribution of 80-percent of the purchase price, would see me behind the wheel of a Typhoon by the time I hit college. They walked away from the negotiating table and, the economic climate of the 8th grade being what it was at the time, another partner wasn't found before the Typhoon was discontinued.
Roy El-Rayes, however, has succeeded where 12-year-old me failed, and he did it by using the sort of professionalism that only a PowerPoint presentation can provide, along with some humor and bold-faced flattery.
